From seeing my grandfather’s pride in his rose garden, to kneeling in the garden while my dad showed me how to plant bulbs, to learning floristry as my mom and I created wedding flowers, I’ve done it all. I’ve studied wedding floristry with the Floral Design Instutue and have a bachelor’s degree from the horticulture department of The Ohio State University. When I’m not working on a wedding you’ll find me in the garden tending the dahlias, English roses, and peonies on our three acres. In the winter, I’m usually in the kitchen trying to emulate Guy Fieri.

“Working with Amanda was amazing! Our consultation was in person, and she helped to guide us towards arrangements and flowers that would work for our budget. She was excellent at working with our budget! Most of her pieces were Reusable and we moved them several times around the space. She also made sure we had exactly the flowers that we wanted. She was also excellent at following our theme, (Summer fairy garden party) and her choices in color really sold the whole event. On the morning of the wedding, Amanda set up everything in both the ceremony and reception spaces so it was perfect! We really couldn't have done this without her, and we appreciate her so so much! Everyone who was there or saw pictures complimented the flowers. They are one of our showstopping things! Real flowers might not be for everyone, but I don't think they can be replaced! “The flowers (on our order) came in large boxes, but they were not labeled, so it took a minute to get the flowers both identified and properly set up. To be fair we were warned about the process, but not about the length of time due to our inexperience. As a note, it took my fiancé 5 hours to process the flowers when first receiving them. I also did not have any updates from them from the time I ordered till they were being shipped. They were beyond more affordable compared to other florists, and the flowers arrived alive and in good spirits. We were able to keep the flowers alive for over four days!! Many of the flowers that we chose did not have specific instructions, so we had to follow the general reference for the flowers and hope for the best. Additionally, some of the flowers that we wanted were not in stock, and they were replaced for us with substitutes but were not notified until we had all of the flowers already delivered to us. Also, as a note, bloom culture uses third party sellers for their flowers, so the quality may vary depending on location. Our flowers were in good condition, and the company we had clearly took good care of the flowers prior to delivering them to us. Would we do it again? Probably not, but it made for good laughs and bonding time and we have stories to tell from it!”

He helped me planned my florals for my destination wedding in Hawaii, all the way from the mainland. Communication was always timely, professional and personable.
