19Main
New Milford, CT
  • Up to 130 guests
  • Limited services
  • Indoor
  • Starts at $6,000

Constructed soon after the Great Fire of 1902, The United Bank Building was built to house two banks whose previous buildings had been destroyed, New Milford Savings Bank and the New Milford First National Bank. The two banks immediately organized to rebuild, quickly agreeing in principal to build a joint facility on the site of the New England House, a locally well known tavern and inn located at the corner of Bank and Main Street. For most of its life, the building had been used in some form of a bank, but had been largely under-used in recent decades, and had fallen into disrepair. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982 and taken over by Village Green Investments in 2015. After 9 months of renovations, the building became 19Main. Throughout renovations, we strived for modern amenities with historic elegance; three vaults remain from the building’s former bank days.

The Boylston Rooms

5.0

Easthampton, MA
  • Up to 200 guests
  • All-inclusive
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $6,600

Founded in 1814, The West Boylston Company was a large textile manufacturer in West Boylston, MA. At the turn of the century the company faced a crisis: the site of their mill would be flooded to form the Wachusett Reservoir. Instead of abandoning the mill, the company dismantled it brick by brick and shipped it to its new home in Easthampton, where it was rebuilt on the banks of the Lower Mill Pond. Now, a century later, The Boylston Rooms retains the integrity of the 1814 original mill in every brick and beam. Our rental includes planners and decor at no added cost. Whatever your style, with over 140 pieces of decor, if you can picture it in the space, we can make it happen.

Where to start? As many brides I was totally lost and didn't even know how to start. I found Boylston Room through webpages and also had a recommendation. Since I first walked in, Erin and Myles were amazing and so patience with the thousands questions I asked. As soon as I got out that day, I told my fiancé this is our venue, and we couldn't put our wedding on better hands. They guide me through every step of the planning process, made amazing vendor recommendations and any doubt/crisis I could have they will come to rescue the situation to made my life easier. Let me stop right here to say that by the end of my wedding planning, they had a new addition to the team, and I have to say as well as Erin and Myles, Jacquetta is amazing! I was really worried about how the wedding day was going to run and let me tell you that since the rehearsal until the wedding day everything was PERFECT. My family/guests were so impressed on how professional and organized all the staff were. Everyone use to tell me, be ready that last week everything is going to happened... well let me tell you the last week nothing happened, and my day WAS PERFECT thanks to Erin, Myles and Jacquetta(if something happened, I never get to know it). I will recommend this venue to every single one of you reading this review and looking for your dream venue. Thank You Boylston, You Rock! Love Always, Zuleyka & Shawn

The Steamboat Co was the prefect mix of rustic and beautiful, and still provided all of the amenities we wanted (air conditioning, bathrooms, etc). Bethany and Breanne were so helpful throughout the planning process and helped the day go seamlessly. The venue Had the perfect flow of inside and outside space, and our guests raved about the food and drinks. The outside area is beautiful, and great for having the ceremony there. Saugerties is also the perfect little town for a mini destination wedding, with lots of activities near by for guests. From the first time we walked into the Riverview, it was THE place where everything went right. The months of planning leading up to our wedding, when we had meetings or emails with Kayla and Meghan at the Riverview, it was always pleasant and easy - they were wonderful to work with. Even though the precedent of high quality and extremely pleasant interactions was set, I couldn't have predicted that it could get better. Kayla and Meghan led the way and our personal bridal attendants, Damani and Stephon were like mindreaders, on top of every possible need or want we had and there to provide for us before we even knew what we needed. Everything from hot tea on a cold day to sewing my maid of honor into her dress because of a stuck zipper. Aside from the venue being absolutely beautiful, the food being amazing and delicious and and the price actually being much better than I thought it would be for a wedding of 125, the staff were amazing and went above and beyond for us in every possible way. You will be SO happy you chose this place. I would do it again a million times with them in our corner!

As a wedding photographer, I've had the pleasure of capturing love stories in some truly remarkable locations, but Black Walnut Farm in Saugerties, NY, stands out as an absolute gem. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the venue's authentic charm, breathtaking landscapes, and the genuine care of its owners, Sarah and Jim. The first thing that struck me was the beautiful barn, exuding rustic elegance. Stepping inside, I was transported to another era, surrounded by weathered beams, warm lighting, and tasteful décor that highlighted the barn's history. It served as a perfect backdrop for intimate moments and romantic portraits, making every frame come alive with character. Adjacent to the barn, the stone house from the 1700s added a touch of enchantment to the wedding party experience. With its old-world charm and intricate details, it provided an exceptional setting for getting ready photos. As a wedding photographer, I couldn't help but be inspired by the history woven into the very foundation of the house, allowing me to capture timeless moments for the couples. The grounds of Black Walnut Farm are nothing short of awe-inspiring. The rose garden, bursting with vibrant colors and intoxicating scents, offered a picturesque spot for intimate ceremonies or delightful candid shots. The wide-open fields, as far as the eye can see, painted a romantic canvas against the horizon, creating a sense of boundless love and endless possibilities. For those craving a touch of adventure, the nature trails surrounding the property were a delightful surprise. Couples were able to steal away for private moments amidst the serene beauty of the woods. As a photographer, these nature trails provided me with an array of captivating backdrops that perfectly complemented the couples' love story. What truly sets Black Walnut Farm apart, though, is the genuine care and dedication of its owners, Sarah and Jim. They go above and beyond to ensure that every couple's dream wedding becomes a reality. Their attention to detail, personalized service, and warm hospitality make the entire experience an absolute joy. As a wedding photographer, it's refreshing to work with venue owners who understand and appreciate the importance of capturing those once-in-a-lifetime moments. In conclusion, Black Walnut Farm in Saugerties, NY, is a wedding photographer's dream come true. With its authentic barn, historic stone house, captivating rose garden, expansive fields, and enchanting nature trails, it offers a plethora of stunning settings to capture the essence of love. The unwavering passion and commitment of Sarah and Jim truly shine through, making Black Walnut Farm an exceptional choice for couples seeking an unforgettable wedding experience.

Woodwinds

4.3

Branford, CT
  • Up to 600 guests
  • All-inclusive
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $110

WoodWinds is one of the most sought after Connecticut wedding venues for wedding receptions, banquets, corporate events or any special occasion, in the Tri-State area. A wedding in our impressive European Country Manor will reflect your personal vision. Imagine a magical experience, enhanced by a unique ceremony and reception on the beautiful grounds of WoodWinds. Envision standing on a grand staircase under the twinkle of Austrian Crystal chandeliers, taking pictures in a magnificent garden and dancing the night away on a marble dance floor.

I found the woodwinds through ZOLA, and I am so glad I got matched up! When I reached out, they set me up with a tour the same day. They were super reasonable with the hours and accommodated my weird work schedule. Their gm Randy met me after their normal operating hours which was so incredibly helpful and really set the tone for them. After we met my fiancé and I (oops husband now!) both felt good about the venue, but we had to show our parents. So, we reached out again and asked to schedule a tour for our parents the following weekend where they met with the main saleswoman Vanessa. When my parents left, they were sold. When we booked, we were so pleasantly surprised to have an entire team helping us leading up to our wedding. We worked with Michael, Randy, and Kate. Kate processed all our payments as we chipped away at our balance (they don’t require this, but it was super helpful for us.) Michael was our main planner and coordinator, and he is an absolute expert in the industry! Not only did he have answers to all our questions, but he gave us recommendations along the way and oh boy was he on point! Randy is an amazing asset to the team as well. We think he lives at work because we would email early in the morning, late at night, midday, and sometimes all the above and we would always get a response in less than 5 minutes! I cannot thank the planning crew enough! The night of our wedding we worked with Sergio, and he is such a calm person it really made us feel comfortable. We always hear “oh the day is so hectic” or “time flies” and with Sergio we never felt rushed or pressured. We always felt like everything was under control. Also, our bridal attendant was on point with the mirror. Before pictures, cake, ceremony, entrances, dances she came running out with a little mirror for me to check my hair and makeup. She must have 20000 steps a day just running around with the mirror. That doesn’t even consider bringing me signature drinks and snacks! On a side note, the bartenders are in a class of their own. We had 173 guests and I NEVER saw a line, and everyone complimented how great the drinks were and how friendly and fun the bar staff were. We absolutely love woodwinds, and we haven’t stopped hearing “YOU GUYS HAD THE BEST WEDDING EVER!” from our family and guests. We could not be happier!!!

We had an exceptional experience with The Delany House for our wedding! The Delany House was one of the first choices on our list, however we weren't sure we could make it work after Covid hit, and then we had several other circumstances that took us away from planning for a while. Then in August of 2022, we decided to make an appointment with Nicole at the Delany House because through all of our searching, we kept coming back to this beautiful place as our #1. Nicole was a wonderful coordinator and listened to all of our needs and concerns, as we had a very small amount of people and weren't sure if family would make it from different parts of the country. She was always communicating with us and made sure we had everything we needed to plan our special day, and in a short time frame as well because we married on May 12th 2023, less than a year from when we started planning! Nicole is a rock star! When we finally checked in, and got ready for our rehearsal dinner, we had one last meeting with Nicole and she took care of everything for us. The day of our wedding we had a legit TEAM of people helping us with everything we needed, from timing, to communicating with vendors, to our own waiter for the day bringing us diet cokes while we all got ready and later was right by our side with drinks through the night!- (Thanks Josiah!) The staff made sure we had everyone where they needed to be at the right time, and as the night went on they checked on us and made our guests feel so comfortable. The food was OUT OF THIS WORLD! All of our guests kept raving about how delicious everything was. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect place to get married and celebrate. We recommend The Delany House to anyone who we know that is getting married and wants a great place at a great price and wonderful staff! We can't wait to celebrate our one year anniversary there and see everyone again!
