Jen House Design
Rating: 5.0 (5 reviews)
  • Starts at $3,500
  • Serves New Boston, MI

Jen House Design is a business based out of Plymouth, MI, specializing in floral and event stylings for weddings and other special events. Owners Jen House and Kendall Goddard have co-designed and coordinated hundreds of events, bringing beautiful botanical compositions to every occasion. This duo shares a passion for beautiful florals and lush, garden-inspired designs. The expertly chosen flowers can help to set the tone for a wedding as they can reflect the personality behind the couple and give rise to a beautiful setting.

Jen House Design was so amazing to work with. They had responded to my initial inquiry right away and I loved them from the start. From my first meeting with Kendall from Jen House Design, I knew they were the right choice. We got married at a racetrack and I had ideas for some very unconventional decorations made from car parts that I wanted to add flowers to. They were ecstatic to take on the challenge and embraced all of my strange out of the box ideas and made me feel so good. I had previously gone to several other florists who made me feel like less of a person and told me my ideas were strange and refused to work with me on my bizarre dream. Jen House Floral was completely opposite of that, and executed my dream perfectly. They were so great adding to my ideas, and working with me to keep to my budget. The day of our wedding they delivered our bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages and flower baskets right to our hotel room then proceeded to set up our venue. I was seriously obsessed with my bouquet! I had my nose buried in it the whole time because it smelled so amazing, and I couldn't stop staring at it because it was so beautiful. The whole venue looked amazing with all of the floral arrangements and small touches they added. I was really blown away and impressed with Jen House Design for carrying out my insane vision of getting married at a Race Track but also making it look beautiful and elegant. 10/10 recommended!!! Such an incredible team!!!

Niche Hitch
Rating: 5.0 (5 reviews)
  • Serves New Boston, MI

Lindsay started her career as a teenager working in the floral department of a local grocer. After graduating with a bachelor’s in fashion and a minor in fiber arts, she retraced her floral tradition with an enlightened approach. Niché Hitch was established in 2016 in Joshua Tree, CA from a repurposed vintage trailer that doubled as a studio space and mobile retailer (hence “Hitch”). It was here Lindsay got her start in the event industry, designing ceremony floral for destination weddings. Niché Hitch has since relocated to Detroit, MI where she has a private studio, and focuses on large scale weddings, events, and installations.

Lindsay is a rare talent. We were drawn to her unique style and creativity. It’s one thing to have a vision, but it is another to be able to implement it in real life. She truly listened to us and collaboratively made suggestions for our project, while working within our budget to make our day both look exactly how we wanted it and feel very special. She was punctual, responsive, calm, and tidy on the day. Every interaction we had with Lindsay was highly professional, in addition to being truly enjoyable, and we are so grateful for all the fruits of her labor, which are evident in all our memories of our wedding. Every guest complimented the beauty of the flowers and their uniqueness. Thanks again for an amazing experience, Lindsay!

I gave about ten pictures and let them lead the way. Absolutely beautiful. I was staring at the flowers all night thinking about how beautiful they looked and how great of a job Charvat did. They set up and took everything down, moved ceremony flowers to the reception. Made the day so easy.

Just rent the flowers y’all - after getting multiple thousands of dollars in quotes from florists for our tiny dinner party wedding I started to look for other options. SSB had great reviews, in person or zoom consultations and a VERY helpful FB group that helped me pull the trigger even being pretty skeptical that the quality wouldn’t be there. Fast forward to the day I unboxed them and I was floored, some of the petals even FEEL REAL. Don’t know how they do it. Shipping was easy, fast and return labels were in sticker form to just pop back on. Our guests had no idea they weren’t real, especially with our low light reception it was impossible to tell. It was a breezed - we spent about 450 for 9 large centerpieces, bouquet and a few boutonnières for the guys from the Marlowe collection rather than the 2-3k quite well we’re getting from florists here in Atlanta that at the end of the day aren’t sustainable and would have looked the same (at best). Just rent the flowers y’all.

Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers
Rating: 4.8 (100 reviews)
  • Starts at $350
  • Serves New Boston, MI

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

Awarded Best of Zola
We decided to do our own wedding flowers to save money, and Flower Moxie made the whole process feel simple and stress-free. Their team got back to us right away whenever we had questions, and they walked us through everything we needed to know. The how-to videos they provided were clear and easy to follow, which gave us the confidence to actually pull it off. On the day of our wedding, our arrangements turned out beautiful and our guests had no idea we made them ourselves. If you're thinking about DIY flowers but are nervous about it, Flower Moxie is the way to go. We saved a ton of money and felt so proud of what we created.

The Faux Bouquets
Rating: 5.0 (43 reviews)
  • Starts at $175
  • Serves New Boston, MI

Believe it or not, we often have people ask if our pictures throughout our website are showing a mix of fresh and faux and…no they aren’t! Although fresh florals are pretty, we are totally in love with poser-blooms all the way here and that’s what we design 100% of our orders with.

Awarded Best of Zola
Holy moly!! Working with Brittany at The Faux Bouquets was a breeze, and our flowers looked remarkable -- and real! Nobody even believed me that the flowers were silk because they looked so legit. I would highly recommend her for any future events. And the best part is that we were able to repurpose the flowers seamlessly from ceremony to reception!

We also didn't want to spend thousands of dollars on flowers that would only last a day. We stumbled upon wood flowers and discovered Wood and Word Blooms! Working with Jen was wonderful and seamless. She helps you every step of the way to figure out what you would like. The DIY class was so much fun, and we were able to build all of our centerpieces, boutonnières, and bouquets. Jen also built my cascade bouquet and beautiful garland for us! is a home-based wedding and event floral studio in Ann Arbor, Michigan, serving couples throughout Metro Detroit. We create bespoke, garden-inspired floral designs with a focus on sustainability and artistry. Consultations are by appointment only.

Laura was truly a joy and a pleasure to work with. Her level of professionalism, communication, and execution is top-tier. From our first conversation, she shared with us a "mood board", outlining both our and her vision for how our wedding florals would look. This easily allowed us to see and communicate our thoughts and ideas. Laura was also honest, never trying to upsell us. We appreciated that when we began discussing more ornate floral designs, Laura reminded us that this was out of the budget we had initially told her, and offered us more cost effective solutions. We did ultimately end up going with the more ornate design and it turned out beautifully. Laura took our initial vision of a "floral cloud" suspended in our venue's pergola from a outlandish idea and worked with it until she had something realistic, considering not only how we would suspend it (she ultimately settled on a pretty complicated cabling system that was rock solid) but also how the flowers would last through the evening without access to water. This is not something your average florist could do - but Laura is not an average florist. Several of our guests commented on her displays, and we have received many photos from our guests just of her floral cloud that she made for us. It really was the star decoration of our venue. If Laura ever gets bored of florals (unlikely), she could also make a great wedding coordinator. Throughout the planning process, Laura gave us several reminders on general wedding tips and was proactive with our vendors on securing timelines, promised equipment, and other things that we ourselves missed. We highly recommend Little Workshop Floral. They will be our first stop for any future floral needs!

The flowers (on our order) came in large boxes, but they were not labeled, so it took a minute to get the flowers both identified and properly set up. To be fair we were warned about the process, but not about the length of time due to our inexperience. As a note, it took my fiancé 5 hours to process the flowers when first receiving them. I also did not have any updates from them from the time I ordered till they were being shipped. They were beyond more affordable compared to other florists, and the flowers arrived alive and in good spirits. We were able to keep the flowers alive for over four days!! Many of the flowers that we chose did not have specific instructions, so we had to follow the general reference for the flowers and hope for the best. Additionally, some of the flowers that we wanted were not in stock, and they were replaced for us with substitutes but were not notified until we had all of the flowers already delivered to us. Also, as a note, bloom culture uses third party sellers for their flowers, so the quality may vary depending on location. Our flowers were in good condition, and the company we had clearly took good care of the flowers prior to delivering them to us. Would we do it again? Probably not, but it made for good laughs and bonding time and we have stories to tell from it!

Working with Designs that Matter for our wedding was a wonderful experience! Yael was so fun to work with! She listened to us and captured our vision for a sustainable wedding perfectly. Yael reused materials and reduced waste, while still creating professional and elegant florals and decor. She took my Pinterest board and created beautiful table settings, a guest list board, florals, and a chuppah that made me cry because it was so perfect. I’m not a DIY bride, and Yael took my ideas and made them a reality. She came and set up early and stayed late to tear it down. My bridal bouquet was so gorgeous. Yael worked well with our vendors and went above and beyond to make our wedding special. My mom and I really enjoyed meeting with her in her studio. She asked thoughtful questions and wanted to make sure she created decor that fit our vibe. She nailed it! Stephanie was great to work with from beginning to end. The flowers were beautiful! We would definitely recommend Keepsake Designs. We received many compliments. She did a wonderful job on the arrangements using inspiration photos from my daughter including making pocket boutonnières for the groomsmen. She also provided glass vases for the bridesmaids to display their bouquets at the bridal table. I was kept up to date via text with delivery as well as clean up. We received quotes from 3 other florists and Stephanie was by far the most reasonably priced. I wish I had better pictures to share since we don't have the photographers' photos as yet, but we had a 26' garland for the chapel, flowers attached to every other row, bouquets for 7 bridesmaids and the bride, 7 pocket boutonnières for the groomsmen and the groom, 2 regular boutonnieres for the fathers, 2 corsages for the mothers and then 12 centerpieces.

Zombie Flowers

After the global zombie apocalypse, in the early winter of '24, I heeded the call, picked up my shovel and shotgun and headed out to the fields. Protecting this wide world from the pestilence that is the zombie flower is no small feat, but I've learned to survive. I've made it my mission to hunt these jokers down, wrangle them together, and to serve to you dead off the proverbial platter. In these post-apocalyptic times, the zombie flowers make for excellent mantle trophies, but some have said they make awesome wedding bouquets. Whatever your cup of tea, these zombie flowers are one of a kind prepared just for you.
