This was my first and only venue I toured and I fell in love. We were looking for something very modern and our style and this was exactly that! I was so in love with the large floor to ceiling windows and at night it was absolutely stunning! The outside patio with the fire pits were such a beautiful touch and everyone was loving them all night! The food & drinks were delicious and I have to mention how amazing the staff was to us.. truly wouldn’t have gotten through the night without them! Highly recommend!!

We were so lucky to celebrate our wedding at A Private Estate, and it truly exceeded all of our expectations. When we were searching for a venue, we visited A Private Estate in the depth of winter during a snowstorm, but even then, we immediately knew it was the perfect place for us. Ripley, the owner, was friendly and direct, and it was clear she genuinely cared about making sure people had an amazing experience. The property was beautifully maintained, and the convenience of having the Carriage House accommodation along with the barn for the reception made it a much better value than most other venues we considered. We chose to have our ceremony outside, overlooking the Hudson River, which created a breathtaking and peaceful setting for our vows. The manor house made for a stunning backdrop for our family photos, adding a touch of elegance to the day. We held our reception in the barn, which we highly recommend to other couples. The rustic charm of the space, combined with the elegance of the estate, created the perfect atmosphere for our celebration. Our mid-August wedding was made even more memorable by the beauty and ambiance of the setting. The property manager, Jack, went above and beyond to ensure our day was perfect. Not only did he assist us with practical matters, like putting up blinds in the Carriage House to help our family members' kids sleep, but he also saved the day when a special bottle of wine we had intended to keep was accidentally thrown out by the caterers. Jack took it upon himself to dig it up and return it to us—an act of kindness we won’t forget. We are incredibly grateful for the hospitality and attention to detail from both Jack and Ripley. If you're looking for a venue that combines beauty with exceptional service, we wholeheartedly recommend A Private Estate.

Everyone loved our wedding. We had so much fun swimming, boating & fishing in the lake on the days before the wedding. We not only rented the 3 cabins on the property, but we also put up glamping tents near the cabins. We had 32 people staying here for 3 nights and 4 days. We had our rehearsal dinner, wedding and brunch the day after the wedding under a beautiful tent alongside the lake. It was breathtaking. My family and friends can’t stop talking about how much fun our 4 days together were. The owners are in a cabin at the back of the property, so they were there for us whenever we needed them all week.

We had the most amazing time at Diamond Mills Hotel! The venue is BEAUTIFUL, and the staff is wonderful to work with. My husband and I also loved exploring Saugerties! Planning a wedding in two months was challenging, but booking Diamond Mills for our wedding venue was the best decision ever! We loved working with Stephanie, Carrie, and Brianne. They are highly organized and professional. Our wedding day was truly magical! Our guests had a wonderful time! We also really appreciate how the staff working on the day of our wedding ensured that my husband and I ate well (and remembered to eat as we interacted with our guests). The food served was delicious and we loved our wedding cake! Another great thing about booking the wedding at Diamond Mills is that the hotel is attached to the wedding venue - it was very convenient for us and our guests! We received a good discount for our hotel block. The wedding package they offer at Diamond Mills Hotel is truly well-rounded! Beautiful venue with indoor and outdoor spaces, catering, open bar, wedding cake, and supportive and amazing staff to help you plan your wedding and ensure that everything runs smoothly during the day of the wedding all for a reasonable price! I used some rental decorations, and the staff made sure to carefully pack everything at the end of the night, so shipping and packing up the following day was easy! We highly recommend Diamond Mills!

How Much Should I Budget for a Nassau Wedding Venue?

Wedding venues in Nassau typically account for 22% of your total wedding budget, averaging $17,042 for the venue alone. Your overall wedding cost will scale based on your guest count, which helps you plan accordingly. A small gathering of 50 guests runs about $32,956 while a medium-sized wedding with 100 guests averages $55,929. Larger celebrations with 150 guests typically cost $77,513 and 200-guest weddings reach around $96,785. For really grand affairs, expect to budget about $116,056 for 250 guests or $135,327 if you're inviting 300 people to share your special day.

When Is the Best Time to Book in Nassau County?

Nassau venues require booking about 15 months ahead – that's 431 days before your wedding date – with December being the peak month for inquiries as newly engaged couples start planning. Spring and fall dates are especially popular and often demand 18+ month advance bookings, particularly if you're eyeing those gorgeous waterfront properties where October foliage creates premium demand. You'll want to move quickly once you've settled on your date, especially if you're dreaming of a weekend celebration during these peak seasons.

Which Nassau Venues Offer Accessibility Features?

Westbury Manor provides full accessibility throughout its modern facilities with entrance ramps and accessible restrooms that ensure all your guests can enjoy your celebration comfortably. If you're looking at nearby options, Flowerfield Estate in neighboring Suffolk County offers spacious grounds with excellent accommodation for wheelchair access across its impressive 12-acre property. You'll find their culinary offerings combine traditional favorites with innovative presentations, ensuring your reception meal becomes a memorable highlight of your celebration rather than just another wedding dinner.

How Can Nassau Venues Accommodate Remote Guests?

Nassau County Museum of Art offers enhanced remote participation options through virtual garden tours and gallery exhibits that help distant loved ones feel included. Their Georgian mansion and sculpture gardens provide interactive experiences with multiple camera angles capturing both formal ceremony moments and spontaneous celebrations. This means your friends and family who can't attend in person can still experience the beauty of your venue and share in your special day, creating a more inclusive celebration that bridges physical distance through thoughtful technology integration.

What Questions Should I Ask Nassau Wedding Venues?

When interviewing venues, ask about their service charges beyond the quoted rates, weather contingency protocols (particularly important for May and September bookings), vendor insurance requirements, exclusivity periods for your event, and recommended accommodation options for out-of-town guests. These practical questions will help you avoid surprises later and ensure your planning process stays on track. Each venue handles these details differently, and understanding their policies upfront gives you valuable peace of mind as you move forward with your selection.

How Do Nassau Venues Compare to Nearby Options?

Nassau venues command premium pricing due to their proximity to Manhattan but deliver sophisticated accommodations with established hotel partnerships that make guest logistics simpler. You'll find that Suffolk venues like Flowerfield Estate offer more expansive natural landscape settings if that's your preference, while Nassau specializes in elegant waterfront properties with harbor backdrops that create stunning photo opportunities. Your choice ultimately depends on whether you prioritize convenience, setting, or specific amenities – but Nassau gives you that perfect middle ground of accessibility without sacrificing beauty or service quality.
