The venue is absolutely stunning and the entire staff was so kind, accommodating and supportive. Monica was amazing to work with! The Japanese Garden is a beautiful, intimate, hidden gem on the campus of Cal State Long Beach. It was a lovely backdrop drop to our wedding day. Omar was easy to communicate with and was always prompt in getting back to us with answers to our questions and helped us with any concerns we had. He and his staff helped make our blessed day better than we could have ever imagined. The Grand catering was fantastic and many of our guest continue to comment on how delicious the food was. We highly recommend this majestic place for your special event.

The 1880 Union Hotel is a truly exceptional wedding venue. Their communication style is personable, tailored, and efficient - they make you feel welcomed and valued throughout the entire process. The quality of their work and the value they provide is simply exquisite. They have a unique and beautiful approach, always going above and beyond to customize the experience for each couple. For example, they accommodated our request to have the rental load-in at 8am the day before, even though it was outside their normal schedule. There were also no unexpected fees, and the chef even came in early to monitor the process. This team clearly prioritizes ease and reducing stress for the couple, which is not the case everywhere. In another case, when the linens weren't picked up from the rental company and I, as the planner, was already home from the wedding, being days later -- they handled before I even know, but they took these large linen duffel bags into UPS without hesitation. The team as a whole understands hospitality and how important it is to keep things calm, cool, and collected - they've mastered that. Additionally, the customization of the menu was fantastic. During our tasting, we had one-on-one time with the chef to discuss our preferences, dislikes, and dream wishes for the cuisine - and they made it all happen seamlessly. We highly recommend the 1880 Union Hotel for their personable service, exquisite quality, and commitment to making your wedding day truly special.

We held out wedding here on 10/21/23 and we had such a great experience! The price was pretty reasonable for the region and it was great having food, alcohol, tables, chairs, linens, and setup and tear down all in one. Our wedding at Zaca Mesa took place this spring in March. Everything to booking, venue walk through, and the event day of went smoothly thanks to Tara the event manager at Zaca. She was on top of everything and answered all the questions we had thoroughly and promptly through the whole experience. We felt truly welcomed and like a part of a family there. The venue itself is beautiful with a gorgeous oak tree outside, tall ceilings in the view room, and the greenery outside. It was everything we wanted for our special day. Unfortunately it rained so we weren’t able to utilize the outdoor space but the Zaca team and our event coordinator team did everything and anything to switch to plan B to make sure we still had our ceremony outside and a fun party inside. I truly believe the way the event panned out was even better than the original plan. The professionalism was top notch. Even the times we’ve come to visit the service is impeccable. I am so happy we chose Zaca and we cannot WAIT to come back to visit. It’s one of the reasons we wanted to have our wedding there was to be able to come back and relive those special moments.

We are still in awe of the incredible experience we had at Tar Creek Ranch for our wedding! If you're dreaming of a rustic, barn-style wedding with elegance and charm, this is the place. The barn exudes character with its wooden beams, open space, and warm, inviting atmosphere. The outdoor pavilion was also a wonderful space for our first dance and outdoor dining. The pavilion features a large tent with a clear top and sides, allowing guests to enjoy the beautiful sunset while savoring their meal. In addition, the ranch house was a lovely space for my bridal party to stay and get ready for the day. The house offers amazing natural light and plenty of space for all of your guests. The team at Tar Creek Ranch made the entire planning process seamless. From the moment we toured the venue to the last dance of the night, the staff was incredibly supportive, professional, and detail-oriented. They helped us bring our vision to life, whether it was coordinating the timeline, offering decor ideas, or ensuring everything went off without a hitch. Without a doubt, Hotel Cerro is the perfect venue for an intimate wedding. My fiancé and I decided to plan our wedding to coordinate with our anniversary month and didn’t take into consideration that it was…3 months away. Haha! However, Hotel Cerro and their event planning manager, Jessica, made the experience as stress free as possible. The ceremony space is located on their second floor terrace. You are welcomed by a lush wall of greenery and glass paneling that gives you a view of the beautiful fig trees on the first floor. Across the terrace, is a full length glass wall that opens into the dining area where we had our reception. The space is intimate and inviting with exposed brick walls and windows that look down onto Garsden St. When touring the venue, Jessica was warm, friendly and easy to talk to which instantly took away some the nerves of the planning process. She took the extra time to get a feel for what we wanted for our wedding and offered suggestions of what we could do with the space. The fact that we didn’t have anything planned and a short timeline didn’t seem to phase her at all! She made it obvious that although we didn’t have a lot of time, she was going to keep us on track and get everything planned with us in time. During the tour we saw that the hotel also has an upper level pool area, “Fig Veranda” and an edible garden which are all perfect areas to do wedding photos. Each area has a different feeling to it and it added variety to our photos without having to go all over town. Plus, we had so much fun running around the hotel with our photographer the day of! Throughout the planning process, Jessica was responsive and made sure to keep me updated on due dates and what the next steps were for the planning process. If I had any questions (and I had a lot haha!), she made sure to get me whatever answers I needed quickly and offered multiple options if there were any. Their preferred flower vendor delivered us beautiful arrangements and set them up before the wedding which allowed us to focus on getting ready. They also had our personal flowers delivered to our room and sent photos of the table set up as a “sneak peek”! We stayed at Hotel Cerro for the weekend of our wedding and was pleasantly surprised by how luxurious our loft room was. It had more than enough space for our friends to visit while we got ready and took us about 5 seconds to get to the ceremony area. The staff was very welcoming and seemed to be just as excited as we were that we were having our wedding there! The wedding day was everything that we could have dreamed of and more. The ceremony space was set up on time which allowed us to put out decorations, the floor plan and day of time line was followed exactly how we had planned and the reception dinner was delicious! The staff was also extremely friendly and attentive to everyone during the event. Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend Hotel Cerro if you’re looking for an intimate wedding venue. With the help of Jessica, the planning and execution of our wedding day went as smoothly as one could have hoped for and allowed us to truly enjoy our special day without additional worries!

After going back and forth with ideas of a wedding and elopement, we decided to elope at the courthouse in hopes of getting married on our dating anniversary. Unfortunately, the Courthouse can be booked months in advance so we were looking for a nice venue to host us with less than a month away. That's where the USSB came in. With the micro-wedding package, we were able to have a low-cost, intimate, and beautiful wedding ceremony. Joanie was very accommodating with arranging short notice visits to the venue and with entertaining our ideas as we honed in our vision for the wedding. Her and John even took care of the day-of-coordination, allowing our florist to set up the pews and altar and the photographer to post above for some aerial shots. On the wedding day, everything went seamless and stress-free. We can't thank them enough for accommodating us so last minute. We also get so many compliments on the look of the church itself which is always great to hear! There is a also a beautiful park (Keck Alice Park) across the street where we got some amazing photos as well.

We rented their outdoor patio for 100 people with catering. What a beautiful setting, and the food and service were outstanding! They were great at flowing with the menu options and the bar service. The wedding was right across the street at the courthouse, a 2 minute walk to the reception. Parking is adjacent and convenient for the wedding and reception. I highly recommend them for weddings or any gathering!

Didn't know this place existed! Went there for a reception. Dinner was super beautiful - long tables, string lights, and perfect weather. Felt really easy and fun. Then we moved into the barn and it turned into a full-on party. Disco ball, fog, lights, DJ — everyone was dancing. Honestly one of the best dance floors I’ve seen at a wedding. Really hidden gem.
