About this venue

Zaca Mesa Winery is a large estate that can hold up to 200 guests. The property offers six distinct event spaces, both indoor and outdoor. Couples can exchange vows at the Vineyard Lawn or Courtyard, or elevate their ceremony at Mesa C, a premium outdoor space framed by vineyards and mountain views. Cocktail hour can take place on the Terrace, adjacent to the indoor Lounge. For reception and dancing, couples can choose between the open-air Vineyard Lawn, the Courtyard, or the modern indoor View Room, which features 9-foot glass sliding doors and panoramic views of the Zaca Mesa estate. Couples hosting a welcome party or additional celebration can add Camp Zaca to their package. The estate also offers scenic backdrops for wedding photography throughout the vineyard and estate.

Once a working barrel room, the View Room has been transformed into an elegant indoor space unlike anything else in the Santa Ynez Valley. Six statement chandeliers cast a warm glow overhead, while soaring 9-ft sliding glass doors open onto the vineyards, blurring the line between indoors and out. A neutral palette sets the stage, leaving room for each couple’s vision to take center stage.

Zaca Mesa: Amazing Views, Wine, and Staff
Our wedding at Zaca Mesa Winery this July was an absolute standout. From the moment we toured the estate, we knew the stunning Los Olivos backdrop was exactly what we wanted. The views of the rolling hills and oaks are breathtaking, and the grounds are kept in pristine condition. Beyond the scenery, the estate wine is incredible. Our guests haven't stopped talking about how much they enjoyed the selection; it truly elevated the entire evening. The on-site accommodations were also a perfect fit for our needs—convenient, comfortable, and very well-appointed. The highlight of our experience, however, was working with Jake L. He was a total pro and brought such a fantastic, positive energy to the planning process. Jake was incredibly easy to work with, coordinating seamlessly with our wedding planner and all our vendors to ensure everyone was in sync. Thanks to Jake’s attention to detail, the entire day ran smoothly. We were able to actually relax and celebrate because we knew he had everything under control. If you’re looking for a venue with "wow-factor" views and a top-tier team, we cannot recommend Zaca Mesa and Jake highly enough!

Outstanding Experience
Our wedding at Zack Mesa Winery was nothing short of magical. From the breathtaking views to the beautifully maintained grounds, every detail created the perfect backdrop for our special day. The venue itself is absolutely stunning — romantic, elegant, and warm all at once. What truly set our experience apart, though, was the hospitality manager, Jake. From the very beginning of the planning process, Jake was incredibly courteous, attentive, and thoughtful. He took the time to answer every question, ease every concern, and make sure no detail was overlooked. Planning a wedding can be overwhelming, but Jake made it feel seamless and enjoyable. His professionalism, calm demeanor, and genuine care made us feel completely supported every step of the way. On the day of the wedding, everything flowed effortlessly, and that’s a true testament to Jake’s organization and dedication. He went above and beyond to ensure not only that we were taken care of, but that our family and guests felt welcomed and comfortable as well. Amazing Winery for Your Special Day
We had an exceptional experience working with Zaca Mesa Winery and Vineyards for our client's wedding days! Their communication is always fast, clear, and incredibly helpful throughout the planning process. We love getting to plan with them as they are organized and thorough as we go through all of the logistics of the timeline. The venue itself is beautiful, private, and perfect for a vineyard wedding. They have very reasonable prices and great wine. The team was attentive and a joy to work with, one wedding day they even helped us quickly pivot to a new plan when a last-minute rain storm hit. We couldn't recommend Zaca Mesa enough for couples looking for the perfect winery wedding setting!

Our 2024 Wedding
Our wedding at Zaca Mesa took place this spring in March. Everything to booking, venue walk through, and the event day of went smoothly thanks to Tara the event manager at Zaca. She was on top of everything and answered all the questions we had thoroughly and promptly through the whole experience. We felt truly welcomed and like a part of a family there. The venue itself is beautiful with a gorgeous oak tree outside, tall ceilings in the view room, and the greenery outside. It was everything we wanted for our special day. Unfortunately it rained so we weren’t able to utilize the outdoor space but the Zaca team and our event coordinator team did everything and anything to switch to plan B to make sure we still had our ceremony outside and a fun party inside. I truly believe the way the event panned out was even better than the original plan. The professionalism was top notch. Even the times we’ve come to visit the service is impeccable. I am so happy we chose Zaca and we cannot WAIT to come back to visit. It’s one of the reasons we wanted to have our wedding there was to be able to come back and relive those special moments.

The View Room has flat ground that is perfect for dancing. 107 can fit in the room comfortably while standing and moving around. For outside events, there is plenty of room to set up a dance floor outdoors at the Vineyard location, for guests up to 200. The ground is decomposed granite, similar to compacted gravel, and is great for dancing. However, it is entirely your choice if you’d like to add a dance floor!

We stick to making delicious wines only! We do have some phenomenal caterers in our area who do a great job at showcasing the amazing produce and products made on the Central Coast. Some caterers we, and our past clients, have enjoyed working with are listed on our Recommended Vendors list. Note: Caterers must be full-service; their staff provide the service labor at your event

Our ABC license allows us to serve wine only on our property. Your caterer can obtain alcohol liability insurance and may provide beer. Hard alcohol is available through our approved vendor, Zaca Mesa, which offers a full-service bar. All alcohol must be served by a licensed bartender or caterer, and last call should be at least 30 minutes before the event ends. Staffing for beer and sparkling service is not provided by Zaca Mesa but can be arranged through your caterer. Zaca Mesa will provide wine service upon request. The minimum wine purchase is one case (12 bottles) for every 20 guests.

We love when our clients have live music and we are happy to make recommendations for local musicians. We allow amplified music at our venue until 10pm, 7 days a week. Most DJs and bands provide their own sound equipment and we have power outlets located in various spots around the property for easy set up.

Yes, we have ample parking space at our winery with approximately 60 spots; no overnight parking is permitted. However, we STRONGLY suggest arranging a shuttle service for your guests. We do not mandate a shuttle service, but highly recommend one for all party sizes. Foxen Canyon Road is very dark at night, so for the safety of your guests we always recommend shuttles. Please see our Recommended Vendors list for recommendations.

We have three main areas that many couples have used for ceremonies, all of which are surrounded by our gorgeous vineyards. You may choose to hold your ceremony under the pergola on the Vineyard Lawn, in the Courtyard by our century-old oak tree, or at Mesa C, all with views of the vines.

Receptions can be held on the Vineyard, Courtyard, or inside our View Room. The Vineyard and Courtyard space can seat around 185 - 200 guests. The View Room, formerly our barrel room, is an intimate space for receptions, seating up to 105 guests. For party sizes bigger than 107 during late fall and winter, a tent can be rented to expand our View Room capacity and can help maintain temperature control.

Yes, a one-hour rehearsal is included in the venue fee. This can be scheduled with the Events Manager during normal business hours, unless you would like to rent the space after hours for a rehearsal dinner as well.

Our wine purchase minimums are based on the type of rental - full facility rental (Estate Package) or hourly space rental (all other packages) - that you are contracting. For the Estate package, the minimum is 1 case (12 bottles) per 20 guests. For a hourly specific-space rental, the minimum is 1 case per 25 guests. Price example: for a case of Viognier ($25 per bottle) would be $300 plus tax.

With the Estate booking - The View Room can be your staging area pre-ceremony to keep the wedding party tucked away from guests as they arrive to the winery. This space is open for the wedding party to use two hours prior to your ceremony start time (usually 4pm) while our tasting room still operates. Attached to the View Room is our Club Lounge, which is available to you at 4pm. Note: this space is best for touch ups rather than getting ready head to toe. Your set up crew may start setting up the View Room at the same time.

You are not! We do not require you to choose from the small set of vendors we suggest to you. We find that keeping an open vendor policy lets you better craft and personalize your event with a vendor who best knows your needs. For caterers and planners we have not worked with before, we do have a preliminary requirements they need to meet to ensure expectations are understood well in advance of your event.

Yes, all our facilities are wheelchair accessible. We also have ramps at the main and side entrances, hearing-impaired fire alarm lights, and trained staff.

Your reservation includes six hours from ceremony start to reception finish, NOT including the time it takes staff to set up and clean up. Any additional time will be billed at $100 per hour.
