This journey was both stressful and exhilarating, a profound learning experience. As our engagement faced strain and wedding planning took over our lives, we realized the need for professional help. We hired an out-of-state wedding planner, which made me understand the true value of this service. After a decade of happiness in our marriage, I found my calling in creating memorable events and established Touch of Jewel Events & Designs.

Hello! My name is Kendyl Martin and I live in North Texas with my husband and puppy, Maze. In my free time you can find me shopping at craft stores or stopping by Starbucks to fuel my work day. In 2019 I graduated from Tarleton State University with my degree in Event Management. Not too long after that, I was engaged and planning a wedding through the pandemic. Callie is a CWEP (Certified Wedding and Event Planner) and possesses a Bachelors of Science in Hospitality Management from the University of North Texas. She has over eight years of experience in the field not only with owning CGWE, but also working for various DFW vendors and venues and has had the honor of interning for celebrity wedding planner, David Tutera, twice on his bridal show circuit.

Madison Soderquist is a Fayetteville, Arkansas native and University of Arkansas Alumni. Madison graduated with a Bachelors degree in hospitality with a focus on event management. While attending university, She has worked at many local wedding venues including Sassafras Springs Vineyard and Winery and the Inn at Carnall Hall. She has also worked as an assistant wedding coordinator at Most Joyful Day, and Inventory Specialist at Pretty Old Stuff NWA Vintage Rentals.

Coming from a background of Conference Management and Logistics, the transition into wedding and event planning was smooth and quite fun. After getting my Bachelor’s in Business Management, I was determined to create a career as a wedding planner once I moved to Texas, that would keep me inspired and allow me to help others! I find comfort in a well-thought-out and color coded spreadsheet; logistics and design are truly my happy places.
