It’s a highly customizable space with enough square-footage to accommodate your ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner reception and more. Union Depot has the space to accommodate 2,000+ guests. “We couldn’t have asked for a better venue than Union Depot for our wedding. The venue manager was clear, communicative, and flexible throughout the planning process. She helped us with deadlines, floor plan adjustments, parking validations, access to getting-ready spaces, and being on-site the day of to support with our wedding coordinator. We also appreciated how affordable the venue and getting ready spaces cost for our budget. The venue itself was beautiful, and it was a relief to do a final walkthrough and drop off decorations the day before the event. The Waiting Room setup with digital signage, pipe and drape made it easy for guests to know where to go, and Union Depot offered stunning indoor and outdoor photo options, which was especially important given the unpredictability of the weather conditions. We can’t wait to visit Union Depot in the future to hop on the train/bus and reminisce on our wedding day there.”

“The Mendakota Country Club is a beautiful venue and we had the vision for how beautiful the course would be in the early fall for our wedding when we toured in the dead of winter!! Our photos throughout the day in multiple locations throughout the venue are stunning with beautiful greenery and waterfronts. MCC checked every box for what we looked for in a venue, including (but not limited to): the opportunity for an outdoor ceremony and flexibility in having both indoor and outdoor spaces throughout the event including cocktail hour, onsite getting ready spaces, onsite catering with a variety of dinner options and a cohesive, one-level space (helpful and easy for family members with physical mobility issues) Adena was very responsive and by the end of our year and a half engagement, had responded to 200 emails, discussing details and answering questions for our big day! Jessica and Adena in partnership with our Day of Coordinator were able to manage many moving pieces and make our big day come together beautifully, and the waitstaff and barstaff were wonderful to work with. While we had a good experience overall with MCC, there were two day-of notes that did detract from our Big Day: We were told that the staff will “stop golfers” from teeing off at certain holes during the ceremony, however we had numerous golfers walk right behind our officiant during the ceremony and even one golfer approximately 15 feet from us saying our vows yelling to someone in the parking lot. While we understand it is a country club/golf course first and foremost, MCC charges couples a 1,200 onsite ceremony fee that should come with the expectations of no members on the first few holes of the course during the ceremony. During the reception, the temperature was not well maintained and by the time the dance floor was fully opened, all guests were profusely sweating. While there were industrial fans to help keep the room cool, it was not as effective as we would have liked, especially during an unseasonably warm day in mid-September.”

“I was, well, not exactly excited about the entire wedding planning process. It's just not really my thing. So when I found out that the Graduate Minneapolis (a hotel my family and I have stayed at many times over the years) did wedding packages, I was thrilled. I knew that I wanted to book a venue that would let us do both the ceremony and reception in the same space. What you get depends on which package you choose, but catering, flatware, linens, tables, chairs, alcohol, servers, bartenders, and honestly some things I'm forgetting about are all included and at a surprisingly reasonable price. And Michael, the catering and events director, could not be more lovely to work with. He far exceeded our expectations and made every step go smoothly. It's just an added perk that your guests can also stay at the venue.”

“Good venue! We didn't go with any of their preferred vendors, but were able to get approval fairly easily (but just be aware there are extra steps to get approval if you choose your own vendors). It was really nice to have all food and drinks handled by the venue, and very nice to stay in one location all day --from getting ready in the morning to the end of the night. We also received day-of-coordinator services with our package, the value of which cannot be stressed enough. Leah was extremely helpful and professional. There was also another staff member who joined us right at 8 AM to help set up our breakfast and coffee and check in on us every hour or so. Also -- all the waitstaff and bartenders were SO great. They treated our guests incredibly well. My husband and I were never without a drink or water thanks to the bartenders, who would even walk out from behind the bar to bring us something on the dancefloor. We got a lot of feedback from the guests, even a couple of weeks later, that the food was amazing. It was also super classy to have passed appetizers during cocktail hour. We ended up decorating very minimally because the indoor and outdoor space speak for themselves. I'd recommend to anyone who is looking for a full-service venue! Don't pick this place if you want to source your own food/drink or if you are concerned about your guests/wedding party following the rules (like bringing outside food or drink or vaping/smoking). You will get fined! Overall, the experience was very high-end.”

“Quincy Hall was an incredible venue for our wedding! We had around 200 guests for our September wedding and it felt simultaneously spacious and cozy. The QH team was very responsive and helped with planning every step of the way. They were also super accommodating and helped fine ways for us to meet out budget while still getting the experience we were looking for. The venue and surrounding area had a number of spots for stunning, industrial vibe photos and we couldn't be happier with the look and feel for our day. Our food was also outstanding. We knew the food at Crave would be delicious, but we received so many compliments from guests about their meals. They have some of the most reasonable prices on the market and the catering staff were super professional and polished. Overall, we had a great experience and would highly recommend Quincy Hall!”

The day of, I didn't have to think about anything, they were all so great at taking care of what needed to be done. The best thing about having our wedding here? It was working with family. “If there’s one thing you should know about South Asian weddings, it’s that they’re not small. We estimated a guest list of about 300-400 people, and with us being Muslim, an additional factor that really came into play was ensuring that our catering was able to be made Halal, which you can think of as meal preparation similar in rigidity to Kosher preparation, but according to Islamic guidelines. I made a call to Brackett’s Crossing, and was greeted by Elizabeth (Liz) Revak and Kendra Simonis. They had informed me that Brackett’s can accommodate 300-400 guests for an event and that they accommodate a Halal menu, provided that it is still through Brackett’s Menu and their kitchen. Historically places that I’ve toured that did that, and weddings I attended where South Asian food is not on the normal menu usually does not hit expectations. Kendra and Liz had told me that if I was available, that they had an open house in the winter and that their full menu would be on display, alongside some of their preferred vendors- and that attending would give us a fuller picture of what the food would look and taste like. My family and I went, and were WOW’ed by their presentation, hospitality, organization, and of course, how delicious their food was! Speaking to Liz and Kendra and having tried the menu and knowing that it could be made Halal, we were super intrigued but not yet settled on having them do our event. What followed was me barraging the two of them with phone calls and emails, and them meeting every one of my questions with thoughtful, kind, respectful answers that showed a serious dedication to their craft, and conveyed the passion with which they do their jobs- and frankly, go above and beyond. They started by giving me several pamphlets worth of information on anything I’d ever want to know about hosting an event there, and when I started asking about requests like modifying the space/event to accommodate our cultural and religious values they were so beyond helpful, insofar as knowing the direction of Islamic prayer relative to their venue, knowing key customs in Muslim and South Asian tradition, being able to turn over spaces in the building for prayer time, accommodating our diets, and even being able to accommodate in case we needed a horse! The space itself is lovely, the ballroom is incredibly grand and very well lit from their wall to wall windows, and the outdoor gardens and photo areas are phenomenal. As a bonus, the patio space outside was perfect for cocktail hour and for guests to hang out at night. The organization of the event went really smooth, as they work very closely with all of your vendors and have spreadsheets/meetings to help you (should you choose to utilize them) and will make sure to provide you the exact appropriate amount of organization you want so as to not over or underwhelm you. When it came time for the day of, Kendra and Liz went above and beyond, and were personally on site to oversee the success of the event. The staff, both in the kitchen and the servers tending to the guests were all pros, and kept the event running efficiently- turning over the photobooth, dessert tables and dinner and making sure that my wife and I were not bothered at the sweetheart table (and had a plate of food!) GO WITH BRACKETT'S. You won't regret it.”
