“From the moment we started planning, the coordinators at Galway Downs by Wedgewood Weddings were responsive and genuinely caring about making our day special. They know the venue inside and out, which meant they could anticipate issues before they happened and solve them on the spot. The setting itself is gorgeous and private, with a romantic atmosphere that made everything feel intimate. Having vendors already lined up through Wedgewood if you want to use them took so much stress out of the planning process and let us actually enjoy getting ready for the wedding instead of constantly hunting for new people. The coordinators handled all the details with such professionalism and attention, and it showed on our wedding day. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and would recommend Galway Downs to anyone looking for a beautiful venue with a team that truly cares.”

Hunter and Devon have gone above and beyond not only in the design and amenities built into the space, but they are proactive in assisting with any concerns and have maintained great relationships with the other local vendors which made for seamless drop off and pickup of rentals and guests. The venue itself is beautiful and all of our guests were very impressed by how representative it is of what makes the desert so special. Even having our wedding in the summer, the shaded patio provides relief from the heat. We had 11 children at our wedding and the space was very accommodating and the surrounding land gave everyone enough area to explore. We could not have picked a better venue and wish we could relive our time at Morada over and over again.”

Julian, CA

Oakwood Creek was built in the 1930s by WW Wood and his wife Leanora. Wood drove a truck that hauled dairy milk from the outlying ranches into the town of Julian. Later on, Wood would operate B&L Liquor on the main street. The remains of W's garage are still very apparent on the property today, along with his goat shed & stables. We have one of the last intact water towers in the historic district. The property has been preserved to reflect the period in which it was built. This beautiful venue sits atop a picturesque knoll overlooking the historic town of Julian. Sherry Horton, owner of Oakwood Creek Celebrations, offers signature style that everyone—no matter their affair—will find "oh so easy". Growing up in rural Ohio, Sherry brings the style of country that is reminiscent of simpler gracious time, learning from her grandmother Emma Barrett of all things romantically beautiful. Sherry’s work has been featured in Country Living Magazine, Where Women Create, and San Diego Magazine.

Our Officiant Rev Hannah Wilder, performed a beautiful ceremony by the koi pond. The location is gorgeous, and the staff made us feel as if we were family. Every detail of our wedding was beautifully done, making the entire experience amazing and completely stress free. A million thanks to our wedding coordinator Sherry, who went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed and even took photos for us, since we didn't have a photographer. Our wedding was better than anything I dreamed of!”

“We worked with Knife House in 2023 2024 for an annual event for one of our agency's clients where we were tasked with curating a hospitality house space & hosting VIP dinners within the space. We received SOO many compliments on the space itself and it was such a hit! The Knife House team is great to work with as (especially in our 2nd year working with them) they totally understand the needs/complications of event hosting and the various tasks needed. They were up extremely communicative collaborative throughout our time planning the event and instrumental in it's success. When/if there was an issue with the venue prior to the event, they did all they could to rectify the situation on our behalf, including getting the cement power-washed so it would look it's best reinstalling lights that were not intended to be removed. Both of these elements were handled swiftly and professionally, and without question. Kim was a pleasure to work with and really collaborated with us, answering all of our questions and being available throughout the full planning event timeline to support however she could. This is a beautiful venue and would definitely recommend it for any upscale, modern setting you'll be looking for in the Palm Springs area!”
