Willowood is such a stunning event space. The interior design and landscaping are so thoughtful and intentional—it’s clear how much care went into creating it. I especially love the old barn. There’s truly nothing else like it, and the way it’s been lovingly restored is incredible. They managed to honor the history of the property while also giving it a modern, fresh feel that works beautifully for today’s events. Everywhere you look, the rolling hills and gorgeous scenery make for the perfect backdrop. There are so many spots across the property that can be used in different ways, whether it’s for weddings, family reunions, retreats, or anything in between. What makes Willowood really stand out is its versatility—it has the ability to suit so many different event styles while still feeling personal and special. The Barn at Hill Country was an incredible venue for our wedding. From the moment we first inquired, the staff was efficient, quick to respond, and incredibly kind and supportive. They provided us with a beautiful, private, and very clean space to get ready together on site, which was so convenient and special. Even the club members who were there to shoot and not a part of the wedding were so sweet and congratulatory! On top of that, my husband actually broke his ankle only days before the wedding, and Orvis went beyond the expectations to make sure he was able to get around with ease! Riding down the aisle after the ceremony rather than being carried is a great way to go! The quality of their work and overall value was exceptional. We couldn't have asked for a better venue to celebrate our special day.

Caboose Farm was a dream from the moment we toured it. Colby took us on a detailed tour that showed us the event hall and some possible outdoor locations (which look BEAUTIFUL for warmer seasons!) One of our primary wants in a venue was duration of rental and Caboose allows you to rent their space for the ENTIRE weekend. Not only that, you can rent the housing on property as well for your guests to stay on, at a discounted rate if you opt to rent the full property. Colby was amazing to work with and, truly, made everything else fall into place. More than half of our vendors were found based on Colby’s recommendations. The man CERTAINLY knows his stuff and was a consummate professional from start to finish. He worked so well with our planner, caterer, DJ, liquor provider, and everyone in between to the point we barely had to worry that things would be in the right place. The bar staff were phenomenal as well. Alicia was a sweetheart and they made sure drinks were flowing (but not TOO flowing) and that everyone was having a wonderful night. The venue is gorgeous and works perfectly for a winter wedding as well as any other season, so have no fear if you go to look at it during the winter. The housing was so easy to do as well (once we had everyone assigned to a room)! Ourselves, we stayed in the Washington House, a quick little walk to the venue with enough rooms for the entire bridal party. We had most of the property filled and didn’t have a single issue with any of the rooms! The houses may be old but they are VERY renovated and very nice. We loved Caboose and will almost certainly take a trip back here to celebrate an anniversary some time in the future.

Paul and Mary have an absolutely incredible venue and staff! They were our first venue we toured, and literally told us not to book with them same day as they wanted us to look at other locations and confirm we were truly happy with theirs. After looking at 4-5 more places, we were set, we wanted to work with Paul and Mary for our wedding. From day one, almost 2 years ago, they offered so much support, suggestions, and knowledge. They truly offer an incredible experience that is unmatched to any other venue we looked into in the area. From the barn, to the guest house(bridal suite), to the event staffing/resources, we could not be happier with how our wedding turned out. The venue itself is absolutely breathtaking but add in such caring owners, and you’re destined for a wonderful wedding. We cannot sing the praises of 6 Pastures more than we already have to this point.

5 stars is not enough to rate this venue. My husband and I got married August 30th at The Granary at Peach Glen. When I started planning for the wedding, I was scared to start looking for venues because I knew they could get pricey fast, and I didn’t know who would have the accommodations we were looking for. After doing some research, The Granary was the first venue we went to look at. We automatically fell in love with the venue. But what made this venue stand out from the others was how affordable it was, and the fact that we could rent the venue from Thursday-Sunday. They also offer a bridal suite on site. With my 5 bridesmaids, the bridal suite was more than large enough to have us all get ready at the same time, and set up beautifully. The icing on the cake was the owner Lisa and her husband Dale. Upon meeting them for the first time, they immediately felt like family. Their hospitality was like no other, and on our wedding day their whole family helped out around the venue. Lisa drove me in her own car to where I wanted to be dropped off at the ceremony to make sure nobody saw me on my way there. The bustle on my dress wasn’t cooperating at one point, and the daughter in law came running over to me and helped get it pinned back up. The family helped the guests park so we didn’t have to worry about that. I could go on and on about how helpful they were. The whole family made our wedding day go so smooth, not because they had to, but you could genuinely tell it was because they wanted to. I am forever grateful for them, and I honestly cannot recommend this venue enough.

Enjoy everything the farm has to offer! Walker's Overlook is the founding venue in the Overlooks family. We are very proud of our farm; the charm of the treelined drive, the stone house, and the allure of photographs in front of the vintage car which has been in the family for generations. We are excited to meet you and delighted to help you plan your perfect day! From the spacious bridal suite upstairs to the mancave downstairs there's so much more to the stone built colonial house than just great photo ops! The old walnut tree at the ceremony site is a gorgous backdrop to your vows with the rolling countryside and farmland of Maryland completing the perfect setting. Then reserve a sweet spot on the patio or inside the house for cocktails before dinner is served in the spacious tent. Complete with hardwood floor, the tent can accomodate up to 275 guests comfortably, and still has space for a large dance floor.

  • Space for a large guest list
  • Dressing room available

Venue considerations

  • No on-site guest accommodations
  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • Not for you if you're looking for a sleek and contemporary space
Walker's Overlook is a hidden gem and was the perfect venue for our October wedding! The ceremony area is absolutely gorgeous and provides an incredible backdrop for photos, while the reception tent offers a cozy, rustic vibe complete with wood floors and string lights. The owners, Mark and David, are the best. They are both super hands-on and were great to communicate with throughout the whole process. Mark checked in on us regularly during the year leading up to our wedding and made sure we knew exactly what to expect on the wedding day. One of the best things about Walker's is that they provide an in-house wedding coordinator, so we didn't need to hire a separate planner. Our coordinator, Tammy, was INCREDIBLE -- she knows the industry inside and out and made our wedding day completely seamless and stress-free. Walker's Overlook truly provided the venue of our dreams and I can't recommend them enough!
