I’m a solo acoustic singer and guitarist who performs for weddings and private events throughout the Austin area. Music has always been a huge part of my life, and I love being able to share it during some of the most meaningful moments people experience. There’s something special about performing live during a ceremony, cocktail hour, or reception and seeing how the right song can shape the mood of the entire moment. Nu Standard was founded by accomplished multi-instrumentalist Derrick Hicks.
