We imagined a perfect place to get married. A setting that felt like stepping back into a simple time. A beautiful, serene place where time seems to stop so you can enjoy each moment with friends and family. We imagined a grand, gated entrance leading to a meandering road with perfectly picturesque cabins nestled among the oak trees, a general store where guests would gather for signature cocktails, a sheriff's office for a fun and festive photo booth, a groom's cabin for getting ready and playing a little poker, a chandelier filled chapel overlooking a pond, and an event barn complete with a luxurious bridal suite, and an amazing Saloon for larger receptions. All crafted with authentic old- world materials and detailing. We imagined beautiful brides ranging from cowgirls to contessas. We imagined their weddings as storybook events. Twisted Ranch has become all that and more! Come find out why we were voted Number 1 ranch venue in the Hill Country, Austin, TX, and the US.

“We had the pleasure of having our wedding here this past August and we have NO complaints!! From our first meeting and tour of the venue with Jeff, he provided such a warm welcome and you could really tell that this was something they love doing and it wasn’t just a side gig for them. After booking, I was in contact with Amy, who handled all my million and one questions! From back to back emails to asking probably some dumb questions, she was always so reassuring and really gave us peace of mind throughout the whole process. Something that really sold us on this venue was that not only do you get access to the venue the day prior and day after (most venues we looked at only give you about 6-8 hours of access on the day of only) but also the fact that there are 42 cabins on the property for guests to stay at! We had the majority of our guests stay at the cabins on the property, which was such a convenience! Everyone loved being able to walk on over to hangout with each other. Jeanette and all the other staff we had contact with at the cabins were so helpful too! We even had the luxury of Jeff organizing a clay shoot for all the guys, on the property! This was such a great add on for the guys to just let loose and have some fun. The day of the wedding, AND the day prior, Jeff was such a huge help in being there for any questions that came up, letting us know where we can put certain items, etc! They were really all around amazing to work with and cannot recommend them enough!”

The Resort at Fredericksburg
Rating: 5.0 (1 review)
Fredericksburg, TX
  • Up to 550 guests
  • All-inclusive
  • Outdoor & indoor
  • Starts at $10,000

There's a particular kind of quiet you only find on a Hill Country ranch at golden hour — live oaks throwing long shadows, the Pedernales River catching the last light, the kind of view that makes people stop mid-sentence. That's the backdrop we start every wedding with at The Resort At Fredericksburg, featuring The Edge. We built this place to do something most venues can't: flex. Planning an intimate gathering of 40 close friends, or a 400-person celebration that takes over the whole property? Both work here, because we're not a single room you're forced to make fit — we're 12,000 square feet of indoor space, generous covered patios, and five acres of ranch and riverfront to move between. Say your vows overlooking the water, walk guests to cocktail hour on the patio as the sun drops, then bring everyone inside (or keep them under the stars) for a reception that actually feels like your wedding, not a template.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Private area for the wedding party
  • Provides a dedicated team on-site
  • Provides lighting and sound

Venue considerations

  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • No free parking
  • Best for events with big guest lists
“The Resort at Fredericksburg was the perfect choice for our wedding day. From our first conversation through the final details, their team stayed courteous and responsive, which kept us relaxed throughout the planning process. The venue itself is absolutely stunning with plenty of space for all our guests to move around and celebrate comfortably. We loved how the beautiful grounds gave us options for photos and different areas to enjoy. We're already planning to return for our anniversaries and would absolutely recommend this resort to any couple looking for an exceptional wedding location.”

“I recently had the pleasure of having our a wedding at La Bonne Vie Ranch, and I must say, it was a truly magical experience. Nestled in the Texas Hill Country amidst lush greenery, waterfalls and blooming flowers, the venue exudes romance and elegance! The venue is everything you need if you’re looking to host your family on-site leading up to your wedding. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive ensuring everything was in order. The open air chapel area, adorned with stunning greenery and painted glass provided a picturesque backdrop that felt straight out of a fairytale. Absolutely Breathtaking! The reception space was equally impressive, with a spacious layout that allowed for both dining and dancing. The lighting transformed the space into a warm, inviting atmosphere as the sun set. We rented the Homestead for the morning of our wedding for all of the bridesmaids to get ready and I must say, SO worth it! The Homestead is absolutely gorgeous and extremely spacious. 10/10 recommend adding to your package. Overall, La Bonne Vie Ranch is an exceptional choice for any couple looking for a beautiful and stress-free wedding venue! The combination of stunning scenery, excellent service, and great atmosphere makes it a memorable spot for a celebration of love. Highly recommend!”

HighPointe Estate
Rating: 5.0 (32 reviews)

Liberty Hill, TX
  • Up to 300 guests
  • Select services
  • Outdoor & indoor
  • Starts at $6,000

Situated on 42 beautiful acres with sweeping views of the San Gabriel River Valley, HighPointe estate offers exceptional service and beautiful spaces for your wedding or special event. Our story began when our son and daughter-in-law were married. We designed the flowers for the wedding and they were a hit! Soon, we were doing flowers for weddings all across Central Texas. It was during this season that we witnessed the challenges couples face - inadequate space, and poor “Plan B” options during bad weather. Every element of HighPointe Estate is designed with couples and event logistics in mind. We offer thoughtfully designed spaces to help you set the perfect mood for your big day. Our indoor spaces feature chocolate-brown trusses, stunning chandeliers, and loads of natural light streaming through large doors and windows. Outdoors, you’ll discover comfortable porches, beautiful gardens with water features, and plenty of room for outdoor fun!

Why you'll love this venue

  • Multiple event spaces
  • Classic elegance
  • Allows pets

Venue considerations

  • Not for you if you are drawn to more unconventional venues
  • Requires outside catering services
  • Does not have a dance floor
“This is the best choice I could have made for our wedding day. The price was affordable for the Austin/Hill country area and there were no hidden fees. They added in a perk like leaving greenery in the chapel up for no additional cost! The venue itself is breathtaking, although the floors might need a good wash! Dawson, the owner, is attentive in responding and was a majority of the time kind although sometimes seemed somewhat standoffish, whereas it was a bit harder to reach Jena (over a days response wait). Scheduling for the final walkthrough and the rehearsal was a bit of a pain, but everything managed to work out! Miscommunication closer towards our wedding was more common but was not the usual. Overall this venue, with its beauty and calmness helped make our day perfect.”

About wedding venues in Llano, TX

Why Is Texas an Exceptional Wedding Destination?

Texas offers an incredible variety of wedding settings across its diverse landscapes. You'll find everything from romantic Hill Country vineyards to stunning Gulf Coast waterfronts that provide perfect backdrops for your special day. The state is home to countless venues that showcase authentic Texas character while still matching your personal style. Think rustic barns where longhorn cattle graze nearby or sophisticated urban venues with dramatic city skyline views that'll impress your guests. Many Texas venues incorporate unique regional touches you won't find elsewhere; live country music that gets everyone dancing, mouthwatering BBQ stations and custom boot favors that celebrate local heritage. Whether you're planning an intimate gathering or a grand celebration, you'll find Texas venues ready to accommodate your vision.

What's the Average Cost of Wedding Venues in Texas?

Wedding venues in Texas typically cost between $3,000 and $30,000+ depending on what you're looking for. The national average runs about $6,500-$12,000 which represents roughly 25% of your total wedding budget. Your overall wedding costs will depend largely on how many people you're inviting to share your special day:

Guest CountAverage Total Wedding Budget
50 guests$19,410
100 guests$32,365
150 guests$44,545
200 guests$55,433
250 guests$66,322
300 guests$77,211
In Texas specifically, venues typically account for about 16% of your total wedding budget with couples spending an average of $6,932. This gives you plenty of room in your budget to customize other elements of your celebration that matter most to you and your partner.

Which Wedding Venue Types Are Most Popular in Texas?

Texas venues offer distinctly regional experiences that capture the state's diverse character. Hill Country locations around Fredericksburg give you gorgeous vineyard settings with beautiful limestone architecture and sunset views that will take your breath away. If you're considering Houston, you'll find venues that thoughtfully incorporate bayou landscapes alongside sophisticated cosmopolitan amenities. Dallas spaces tend to showcase luxury urban environments with elegant design elements that create a refined atmosphere. Fort Worth venues perfectly blend Western heritage with modern conveniences for a uniquely Texan experience. November emerges as the most popular month for venue inquiries across the state, so you might want to plan accordingly if you're interested in this popular time frame.

How Far in Advance Should You Book Your Texas Venue?

Texas couples typically book their wedding venues about 16 months (or 457 days) before their wedding date. November stands out as the most popular month for venue inquiries so planning early is essential if you're considering this timeframe. This advanced booking timeline helps you secure your preferred date since popular venues often fill their calendars far in advance especially for prime weekend dates. Booking early also allows you to lock in current pricing before annual increases that many venues implement. Plus you'll have more time to work with venue coordinators to customize floor plans and discuss details that will make your celebration uniquely yours.

Where Can You Find Accessible Wedding Venues in Texas?

Madera Estates in Conroe stands out for its commitment to accessibility with fully paved event spaces that accommodate wheelchair navigation throughout the property. You can host up to 330 guests here and the venue is frequently praised for physically walking through accessibility needs during the planning process. You'll also find excellent accessible options at Jennings Trace near Houston which offers single-level celebration spaces. Hummingbird Hill Weddings in Chappell Hill prioritizes inclusive design throughout their venue and The Preserve at Canyon Lake features wheelchair-friendly pathways connecting all major celebration areas. These venues ensure all your guests can fully participate in your special day regardless of mobility considerations.

Which Texas Wedding Venues Offer Outstanding Culinary Experiences?

The Bell Tower on 34th in Houston delivers exceptional dining experiences under Executive Chef Sergio Arellano. His international culinary team creates gourmet meals on-site that will impress even your most food-savvy guests. Food-focused couples should also consider Steiner Ranch Steakhouse in Austin where you'll enjoy spectacular views alongside premium cuts of Texas beef. Cisco's Salsa Company near Tomball has built a reputation for their award-winning Mexican cuisine that adds authentic flavors to your celebration. Avenida Brazil Churrascaria Steakhouse in the Houston area offers a unique Brazilian steakhouse experience with tableside carving and a festival atmosphere your guests will remember long after the wedding day.

How Can Texas Venues Support Remote Wedding Participation?

For couples wanting to include loved ones who can't attend in person, several Texas venues now offer more than just basic streaming services. Venues like Agave Estates Mara Villa and The Middleton Venue in Katy specialize in creating interactive remote experiences that make distant guests feel truly present. You can work with these venues to design custom interactive elements that go beyond passive viewing. Think virtual guest books where remote attendees can leave video messages remote toasts synchronized with in-person celebrations and even coordinated dance moments. These thoughtful touches ensure everyone feels included in your celebration regardless of where they're located.

What Wedding Expenses Should You Budget for in Texas?

Beyond your venue there are several other key expenses to consider when planning a Texas wedding. For a typical 150-guest celebration your budget will likely break down this way: - Florists: $6,755 (15%) - Venue: $6,932 (16%) - Catering: $5,546 (12%) - Bar services: $4,437 (10%) - Photographers: $3,966 (9%) - Videographers: $3,555 (8%) - Planners: $3,768 (8%) - Bands & DJs: $1,299 (3%) - Cakes & desserts: $853 (2%) - Hair & makeup: $495 (1%)
