“We had a wonderful wedding at the Hofmann Ranch! Our wedding planner, Bailee, was amazing and she was also our day of coordinator. She was absolutely brilliant and was quick to take care of things as needed. The flowers had a bit of a different color than what was discussed and she quickly got the florist to come back and fix it. All of our guests enjoyed the wedding, and we as well as our guests thoroughly enjoyed the food. We have wonderful memories of our wedding day and we're so happy we chose the Hofmann Ranch for our wedding.”

“Hix Ranch is truly one of the most magical wedding venues I’ve experienced. My mother was married here, and the entire space holds a beautiful deep history and beauty only the hill country can provide. What stood out most is how the venue creates a sweet, intimate atmosphere while still being able to comfortably hold a large wedding. The different spaces throughout the property allow guests to gather, wander, and connect in their own way, so it never feels overwhelming or crowded — just warm, inviting, and thoughtfully designed. The setting is a true Hill Country dream. Open landscapes, soft golden light, and naturally stunning backdrops make it feel effortlessly romantic. And the horses on the property add something really special — it brings a grounded, peaceful energy that makes the whole experience feel even more connected to the land. If you’re looking for a venue that feels both intimate and expansive, Hix Ranch offers something really unique. It’s not just beautiful, it creates an experience people can truly feel.”

The Resort at Fredericksburg
Rating: 5.0 (1 review)
Fredericksburg, TX
  • Up to 550 guests
  • All-inclusive
  • Outdoor & indoor
  • Starts at $10,000

There's a particular kind of quiet you only find on a Hill Country ranch at golden hour — live oaks throwing long shadows, the Pedernales River catching the last light, the kind of view that makes people stop mid-sentence. That's the backdrop we start every wedding with at The Resort At Fredericksburg, featuring The Edge. We built this place to do something most venues can't: flex. Planning an intimate gathering of 40 close friends, or a 400-person celebration that takes over the whole property? Both work here, because we're not a single room you're forced to make fit — we're 12,000 square feet of indoor space, generous covered patios, and five acres of ranch and riverfront to move between. Say your vows overlooking the water, walk guests to cocktail hour on the patio as the sun drops, then bring everyone inside (or keep them under the stars) for a reception that actually feels like your wedding, not a template.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Private area for the wedding party
  • Provides a dedicated team on-site
  • Provides lighting and sound

Venue considerations

  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • No free parking
  • Best for events with big guest lists
“The Resort at Fredericksburg was the perfect choice for our wedding day. From our first conversation through the final details, their team stayed courteous and responsive, which kept us relaxed throughout the planning process. The venue itself is absolutely stunning with plenty of space for all our guests to move around and celebrate comfortably. We loved how the beautiful grounds gave us options for photos and different areas to enjoy. We're already planning to return for our anniversaries and would absolutely recommend this resort to any couple looking for an exceptional wedding location.”

“I got married at the Milestone in February. It was an absolutely wonderful experience! The venue itself is stunning!! The hill country is so green and gorgeous for photos. They have a little bridge over a pond that is adorable and the inside of the venue is so warm and inviting with a beautiful staircase. When you book with the Milestone you get a wedding planner as part of the package. Taylor was my wedding planner and she was AMAZING!! Not only was she so available for questions and helping me figure things out, she had lots of really helpful suggestions I wouldn’t have even thought about. Also she sent me a ton of really cute pictures/videos she had taken of me and my husband behind the scenes at our wedding. The wedding went so smoothly and the venue has the process down perfectly. I didn’t have to deal with anything going wrong on the day of. It was cold and drizzling on the day of the wedding and they were able to pivot so efficiently to move the ceremony inside and it still looked beautiful (plus we still took pictures outside)! The only thing you should be aware of is the venue adds a 20% fee to everything they charge you for. They’re upfront about it but it’s just something to factor into your budget when planning. I definitely recommend the Milestone!!”

From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning grounds and thoughtfully designed facilities. The natural beauty of the ranch provided the perfect backdrop for our photos—we barely needed any additional decoration! Paniolo hosted both our rehearsal dinner and reception dinner, and both evenings were absolutely wonderful. The cocktail hours were lovely, and the service stood out in such a positive way—our server was incredibly friendly and attentive. The dining spaces were set up beautifully, with thoughtful details that made everything feel special and elevated. We truly felt like royalty during both dinners. The rehearsal dinner, in particular, was unforgettable—the steak was a huge hit with everyone! Judy helped guide me in making great decisions and took care of many details behind the scenes, allowing me to relax and fully enjoy the entire weekend. That level of support made all the difference. One of the best parts of having our wedding here was being able to have most of our family stay onsite. It made everything so convenient and added to the overall experience of being together in such a peaceful, beautiful setting. The bridal suite was perfect for getting ready—it was spacious, comfortable, and ideal for having hair and makeup professionally done with my mom and maid of honor. Overall, we are beyond grateful for our experience at Paniolo Ranch. “We have our wedding booked 10/2027 but we did our engagement shoot here this past weekend and I can't wait a whole year to leave them a great review. I want more people to know how amazing this place is! First off the owners/staff are easy to communicate with and so helpful, I really appreciate all the advice and help they've given so far. Let's talk about the venue- the ceremony and reception area are beautiful alone but add in the picturesque land surrounding them and you have a masterpiece. The family home, bridal room and honeymoon suite are also so nice and convenient. I don't often reference energy and vibes in my everyday life but there is no other way to describe the feeling when you're on this property. It's an immediate calming feeling, something magical. It's also obvious they care deeply about their animals on the ranch. Hickory and Cooper (horses) were featured in our engagement photos and they were great model horses. We've also discussed our dogs as having them in our ceremony was important. They are dog friendly and are also dog people themselves, bonus!! If you're looking for a beautiful rustic venue where you can spend a peaceful weekend with family and friends all in one place then look no further. ️”

About wedding venues in Kerrville, TX

Why Is Texas an Exceptional Wedding Destination?

Texas offers an incredible variety of wedding settings across its diverse landscapes. You'll find everything from romantic Hill Country vineyards to stunning Gulf Coast waterfronts that provide perfect backdrops for your special day. The state is home to countless venues that showcase authentic Texas character while still matching your personal style. Think rustic barns where longhorn cattle graze nearby or sophisticated urban venues with dramatic city skyline views that'll impress your guests. Many Texas venues incorporate unique regional touches you won't find elsewhere; live country music that gets everyone dancing, mouthwatering BBQ stations and custom boot favors that celebrate local heritage. Whether you're planning an intimate gathering or a grand celebration, you'll find Texas venues ready to accommodate your vision.

What's the Average Cost of Wedding Venues in Texas?

Wedding venues in Texas typically cost between $3,000 and $30,000+ depending on what you're looking for. The national average runs about $6,500-$12,000 which represents roughly 25% of your total wedding budget. Your overall wedding costs will depend largely on how many people you're inviting to share your special day:

Guest CountAverage Total Wedding Budget
50 guests$19,410
100 guests$32,365
150 guests$44,545
200 guests$55,433
250 guests$66,322
300 guests$77,211
In Texas specifically, venues typically account for about 16% of your total wedding budget with couples spending an average of $6,932. This gives you plenty of room in your budget to customize other elements of your celebration that matter most to you and your partner.

Which Wedding Venue Types Are Most Popular in Texas?

Texas venues offer distinctly regional experiences that capture the state's diverse character. Hill Country locations around Fredericksburg give you gorgeous vineyard settings with beautiful limestone architecture and sunset views that will take your breath away. If you're considering Houston, you'll find venues that thoughtfully incorporate bayou landscapes alongside sophisticated cosmopolitan amenities. Dallas spaces tend to showcase luxury urban environments with elegant design elements that create a refined atmosphere. Fort Worth venues perfectly blend Western heritage with modern conveniences for a uniquely Texan experience. November emerges as the most popular month for venue inquiries across the state, so you might want to plan accordingly if you're interested in this popular time frame.

How Far in Advance Should You Book Your Texas Venue?

Texas couples typically book their wedding venues about 16 months (or 457 days) before their wedding date. November stands out as the most popular month for venue inquiries so planning early is essential if you're considering this timeframe. This advanced booking timeline helps you secure your preferred date since popular venues often fill their calendars far in advance especially for prime weekend dates. Booking early also allows you to lock in current pricing before annual increases that many venues implement. Plus you'll have more time to work with venue coordinators to customize floor plans and discuss details that will make your celebration uniquely yours.

Where Can You Find Accessible Wedding Venues in Texas?

Madera Estates in Conroe stands out for its commitment to accessibility with fully paved event spaces that accommodate wheelchair navigation throughout the property. You can host up to 330 guests here and the venue is frequently praised for physically walking through accessibility needs during the planning process. You'll also find excellent accessible options at Jennings Trace near Houston which offers single-level celebration spaces. Hummingbird Hill Weddings in Chappell Hill prioritizes inclusive design throughout their venue and The Preserve at Canyon Lake features wheelchair-friendly pathways connecting all major celebration areas. These venues ensure all your guests can fully participate in your special day regardless of mobility considerations.

Which Texas Wedding Venues Offer Outstanding Culinary Experiences?

The Bell Tower on 34th in Houston delivers exceptional dining experiences under Executive Chef Sergio Arellano. His international culinary team creates gourmet meals on-site that will impress even your most food-savvy guests. Food-focused couples should also consider Steiner Ranch Steakhouse in Austin where you'll enjoy spectacular views alongside premium cuts of Texas beef. Cisco's Salsa Company near Tomball has built a reputation for their award-winning Mexican cuisine that adds authentic flavors to your celebration. Avenida Brazil Churrascaria Steakhouse in the Houston area offers a unique Brazilian steakhouse experience with tableside carving and a festival atmosphere your guests will remember long after the wedding day.

How Can Texas Venues Support Remote Wedding Participation?

For couples wanting to include loved ones who can't attend in person, several Texas venues now offer more than just basic streaming services. Venues like Agave Estates Mara Villa and The Middleton Venue in Katy specialize in creating interactive remote experiences that make distant guests feel truly present. You can work with these venues to design custom interactive elements that go beyond passive viewing. Think virtual guest books where remote attendees can leave video messages remote toasts synchronized with in-person celebrations and even coordinated dance moments.
