    Pure Texas!

    HIX Ranch is truly something special. From the moment we arrived, we were completely blown away by how breathtaking the property is. The rolling hills, the massive old oak trees, and the stunning views in every direction created the most beautiful setting for a wedding. It felt like the absolute perfect Texas wedding venue. Everything about it was picturesque, peaceful, and unforgettable. The natural beauty of the ranch made every moment feel so special, and it was one of those places that instantly leaves a lasting impression. As a guest, I was so impressed by how spectacular the entire experience was. HIX Ranch has such a warm, charming, and elegant feel while still capturing that authentic Texas beauty. It was the kind of venue that makes a wedding feel magical. If you are looking for a venue with incredible scenery, unforgettable atmosphere, and true Texas charm, HIX Ranch is absolutely amazing.

    Such a beautiful venue!

    The team at HIX Ranch Since 1855 was incredibly responsive and communicative about everything! Their grounds were absolutely stunning, with beautiful live oaks, serene rustling trees, and a rich historical ambiance that made for a truly magical setting. The spacious yet intimate layout provided plenty of room for our guests to spread out and enjoy the natural surroundings. Fabulous in every way!

    Incredible property

    We attended a wedding at the ranch and it was the most dreamy country experience! The property is covered in mature trees, gorgeous ranch style home and just full of natural light!

    Intimate Yet Spacious Hill Country Gem

    Hix Ranch is truly one of the most magical wedding venues I’ve experienced. My mother was married here, and the entire space holds a beautiful deep history and beauty only the hill country can provide. What stood out most is how the venue creates a sweet, intimate atmosphere while still being able to comfortably hold a large wedding. The different spaces throughout the property allow guests to gather, wander, and connect in their own way, so it never feels overwhelming or crowded — just warm, inviting, and thoughtfully designed. The setting is a true Hill Country dream. Open landscapes, soft golden light, and naturally stunning backdrops make it feel effortlessly romantic. And the horses on the property add something really special — it brings a grounded, peaceful energy that makes the whole experience feel even more connected to the land. If you’re looking for a venue that feels both intimate and expansive, Hix Ranch offers something really unique. It’s not just beautiful, it creates an experience people can truly feel.

We have packages that include Rentals & Event Management. We will coordinate and take care of the vendors that you select however, you will be paying for those vendors outside of your facility fees of HIX Ranch. We are very exclusive in that we typically only accept six wedding/advance for the entire year. This is because we are inviting you into our home, literally. The Hicks family still utilizes the ranch for private and personal use by family members and therefore we have limited amounts of dates that are open to the public. This exclusivity lends itself to a very unique experience and a very personalized approach for your wedding.
Beyond the $5000 flat rental rate of the facility, we typically see couples spending anywhere from $40 per person up to $100 per person. This would include the rental of the following items Chairs, linens, tables, tents, food, floral, alcohol and security.
If the forecast is showing rain for your event, we highly recommend you purchasing umbrellas for your guest for any brief showers that may pass, and perhaps renting a tent. Please note that rainfall in the Bandera area is not very common.
While we do provide changing areas for your wedding party, we do not allow guests to stay overnight. However, we do work closely with a local management company that manages many Airbnb‘s in close proximity. If you work through us, they typically offer a 10% discount.
We do have specific vendors that we have worked with in the past and trust them to provide the kind of service that most of our brides are looking for, however, we are open to working with any of your vendors in order to coordinate your special day.
While our contract states that you must have a wedding coordinator, if you do not have one, we will provide one for you as a “day of” service for an extra fee.
