“We had the pleasure of working with DJ Wong from MyDeejay. A quick review of MyDeejay: They were excellent to work with. They paired us with DJ Wong after we filled out a quick survey about the vibe we wanted for our wedding, and it was smooth sailing from there. It's clear from working DJ Wong that MyDeejay vets their DJs very well and ensures they're all professional and great to work with. Now for DJ Wong: He's got all of the main things you want in a vendor--professionalism, responsiveness, expertise, etc.), but he goes well above and beyond those standards. He provided ceremony music, background music, reception music, and uplighting, but that's just the starting point of everything he did for us. We were PICKY and we had A LOT of requests, and he accommodated them all flawlessly and eagerly. We requested he alter versions of some of our selected songs to adjust for timing, blending parts of songs together, and very particular transitions between songs. He made everything sound amazing! We had not 1, not 2, but FIVE choreographed dances throughout the evening, and he executed the timing of everything perfectly. The sound was incredible! In addition to that, because we were completely over-the-top for our wedding, DJ Wong so graciously and excitedly fulfilled our request to have KARAOKE at our reception. It was SO MUCH FUN!!! We had a very particular vibe in mind from our wedding--we wanted our ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner to be classy and jazzy, and then for the reception dancing we wanted a mix of Pop anthems from the past 3 decades--DJ Wong understood the assignment perfectly! We were also at a very large venue and he had to provide sound across many different areas throughout the evening, but he came fully prepared and did an excellent job. We received so many compliments about the ambience for the entire evening, and we attribute that to him! On top of everything else, DJ Wong is an excellent MC and can read a room flawlessly. He kept the vibes up the entire evening, and struck the perfect balance of engaging with the audience and letting the music do the work. We are so grateful we had him for our special day!”

“Entertainment is arguably one of the most important and memorable aspects of a wedding, as it can truly make or break your day. Fortunately for me, I’ve worked in the service industry for over a decade and have seen my fair share of DJs and bands. This is how I met Paul. I always loved when he played at the bar I worked at because his sets were never the same—he read the room, kept the energy high, and was always amazing at it. I’ve also attended weddings where he DJ’d and MC’d, and those were the ones where I had the most fun. So, I was over the moon when I reached out and found out he was available for my wedding. I booked him immediately. Paul has been in the entertainment business for quite some time and offers more than just music. With options like customizable monogram/logo projections, a standalone or 360 photobooth (with an attendant and props), and uplighting, he helped us tailor our wedding experience to perfection. What I loved most about the photobooth was that we were able to pick our own template and backdrop and use our own logo/monogram for it. Guests received printed copies on the spot and digital copies sent to their phones. We also received a file of all the photos and GIFs taken, which was so fun to look back on. Paul has different equipment based on your space and vibe. The sleek white setup he brought to our small venue blended seamlessly with our aesthetic, while his ability to adapt his equipment ensured optimal sound quality throughout the day. From providing a lapel mic for our officiant to coordinating with our live acoustic cocktail hour, Paul went above and beyond to enhance every aspect of our day. Paul's responsiveness and flexibility, whether over email, text, or Zoom meetings, made the planning process seamless and stress-free. During the planning period, we met with him to discuss all the details like pre-ceremony music, procession, recession, introductions, first dance, last dance, parent dances, must-play songs, do-not-play songs, and whether or not we wanted requests (we opted for them, but only if they fit the vibe). He even let us cue up songs, coordinating with our wedding planner (for instance, signaling me when it was time for me to walk down the aisle). All of this was put in a shared Google spreadsheet and discussed during our meetings. He also had a remarkable ability to know exactly when to cut a song and have it fade out perfectly. As both DJ and MC, he effortlessly set the tone for the evening, keeping the dance floor packed and the atmosphere electric. He even looked like he was having a good time, cheering and dancing along with us. A few of our guests asked for his contact info and whether he did events other than weddings (which he does). He knew exactly what the crowd wanted and ensured everyone had a great time. And as an unexpected gift, his recording of our intro and first dance provided cherished memories we'll treasure forever, especially since we didn’t have a videographer. Thanks to Paul, our wedding was so much fun, filled with laughter, love, and plenty of dancing. We couldn't have asked for a better soundtrack to our special day.”

“Amy was the DJ for our November 2024 wedding. As the music sets the vibe, we wanted someone who really understood what we were looking for and understood the music we like and our tastes. After a horrible experience talking with another vendor, we immediately clicked with Amy and felt that she understood what we were looking for (Gay dance pop!). Communication with her was straightforward and simple, and she took our basic playlists for different parts of the night and blended them to reflect our style and set the appropriate mood. She executed the music cues during our outdoor ceremony perfectly which we believe helped to elevate the whole experience. But the star of our experience with her was an amazingly packed and vibrant dance floor for the whole time. We got so many compliments on the music and everyone from our friends to coworkers and older relatives had a great time. One of our requests was to play a ton of Chappell Roan and Amy delivered, including a (potentially original?) dance mix of Pink Pony Club that was honestly transcendent. She even played a special song for a plushie toss (it’s a story) without our prompting. Chris Funkhouser (who seriously brought the funk!) was amazing to work with! During our consultations he was able to answer all our questions and concerns. He was able to put his swing on things from his experience to help provide the right vibes we were looking for. We pretty much already knew all the songs that we wanted to play so the program they used was perfect! It was detailed in the timing of the night, how long or short to play songs and any other special requests we wanted to have. On the night of the wedding, Chris was a blast -energetic, observant, and focused on keeping the dance floor alive all night long. He even joined us out there, helping to keep the party going strong! He was able to use his best judgement in placing some of the lighting and monogram details we chose which turned out great!
