“Gosh we love them. They were life changing! Our initial tour with Corina was so phenomenal and she sold us immediately. All of our planning meetings throughout the process were well organized and prepared and we always felt heard and supported. Our day of coordinator, Robert, was absolutely incredible!! He was so calm and cool before the ceremony and then helped us amp it up to an insanely fun celebration afterwards. Can’t say enough good about him. Even our friends and family were saying amazing things about him throughout the night and the days to follow. DJ maestro (the included DJ package) assigned us the best DJ ever (DJ Gerald) and he created such a fun atmosphere for the dance floor. He also crushed it with balancing MC’ing and nailing all the cues. Esteban was our late night banquet captain and he was so amazing, really attentive and kind. Moments in Bloom KILLED IT and gave us the florals of our dreams as well. Overall, we genuinely cannot even express how happy we were with our wedding day and night and the entire process leading up to it and that is all thanks to Wedgewood.”

We have two venues: *The Island -- Lake Cuyamaca has a scenic, natural site suitable for small outdoor weddings. Venue is rented for 6 daylight hours. Tables & chairs are not included.  *Ole Firehouse -- The Firehouse is a newly renovated former fire station with a 40' x 60' event room, the perfect space for both weddings and receptions. Amenities include: the venue room, a full kitchen, two restrooms, an outdoor patio area, a large, shaded deck, and an upstairs bridal dressing room/loft space. It has a 80-person indoor capacity with the Firehouse bay doors closed & a 100-person capacity when they are open. We'd love to give you a tour of our unique locations & are committed to doing all we can to help you make this a memorable day!

“We had our wedding at The Ole Firehouse at Lake Cuyamaca, and it was truly everything we hoped for and more. If you're looking for a rustic, intimate venue with beautiful nature vibes, this place is hard to beat. The lake views created such a peaceful and scenic backdrop—our guests are still talking about it. One of the best parts of booking this venue was having the space for the entire weekend. We had Friday to set everything up, celebrated on Saturday, and then had Sunday to tear down without feeling rushed at all. That alone made the whole experience so much less stressful. Kelly, the venue coordinator, was amazing to work with. She communicated clearly throughout the process and made sure everything ran smoothly on the big day. Having someone reliable and organized like her made a huge difference—we were actually able to relax and enjoy our wedding. Another huge bonus was being able to rent the lakefront cabins for our stay. It made the whole weekend feel even more special and gave us extra time with our family and friends in such a beautiful setting. We genuinely had no issues from start to finish. Oakwood Creek was built in the 1930s by WW Wood and his wife Leanora. Wood drove a truck that hauled dairy milk from the outlying ranches into the town of Julian. Later on, Wood would operate B&L Liquor on the main street. The remains of W's garage are still very apparent on the property today, along with his goat shed & stables. We have one of the last intact water towers in the historic district. The property has been preserved to reflect the period in which it was built. This beautiful venue sits atop a picturesque knoll overlooking the historic town of Julian. Sherry Horton, owner of Oakwood Creek Celebrations, offers signature style that everyone—no matter their affair—will find "oh so easy". Growing up in rural Ohio, Sherry brings the style of country that is reminiscent of simpler gracious time, learning from her grandmother Emma Barrett of all things romantically beautiful. “Oakwood Creek made our wedding dreams come true...if you are looking for a rustic, charming, cozy, and intimate venue, look no further - you have found it in Oakwood Creek. As a couple that paid for our wedding ourselves, finding the perfect venue, location, setting all within budget started out challenging. But after one tour at Oakwood Creek, we knew right away we found our venue. (It actually was our first and only tour, that's how certain we were.) We had 35 guests (planned for 40) and it was the perfect size. My husband and I only wanted our closest friends and family so this venue was perfect for us. We were able to get plate rentals through the venue and coordinated all of our vendors through Oakwood Creek. The entire team at Oakwood Creek is amazing. I definitely had a few moments of tears before the wedding after 100% rain was forecasted on my wedding day but the team pivoted everything indoors for the reception and we were able to do the ceremony outside. They all kept me grounded and answered every single one of my questions (there were MANY) lol!
