I absolutely LOVE what I do! How could I not love being around people celebrating the happiest day of their lives?! I went to school at the University of Florida where I studied telecommunications and worked at the school's news station. Once I graduated I realized the news life was not for me but that I could take all of the things I learned in the news room and apply them in a setting I was passionate about - weddings! I met my husband while attending the University of Florida and we were married in April 2014! We are now the proud parents of our two fur babies and our newest addition, our first baby girl, Henley!

Here at Southern Magnolia, we don't have just one specific specialty and we offer many different photography & film needs. Hi! My name is Davis, and since 2013, I’ve had the privilege of capturing and sharing stories of union through the medium of film. While I am a little bit of gear-head and love everything cameras, I more so find myself drawn to the process of creating wedding films. Getting to know each couple and knowing their vision is something that I really implement in the process. Each film that I build is unique to the couple.

I feel there’s no ‘one formula fits all’ in wedding videography. Some videographers have it down to a science. They have their shot list ready before they even meet the bride and groom. For me, my videos rely on the story as much as they do the production value. Maybe even more. So my shot list isn’t written until I hear your story. It makes it challenging, but it’s also why I love it. Every couple is unique, making every video authentic.

The most important element of producing a wedding video is the FILMING of your wedding day. If we have great video to edit, that has been creatively filmed, that’s not dark and grainy, and has great audio, we can edit it into a beautiful video that people will cherish forever! Hello, I'm Alexa founder and lead videographer at Nicalex Productions. Everyone on our team is a passionate storyteller. We all have a background in video production and we apply that knowledge to every video we create. We know how to shape natural light, establish beautiful composition with in the frame, and cut together a wedding video you will want to watch over and over again.

I used to produce and plan tens of weddings in downtown West Palm at a 4-5 star venue. During covid-19 I developed my videography skills alongside fitness influencers and branding and brought my new skillset into the wedding industry and have shot my handful of weddings. A little about me: I am a Tampa Bay grown, soflo living videographer, a master's student in mental health, hold a BA in media from PBAU, and surf in my free time. I love God, people, family and friends above all.
