We had the most amazing experience working with Precious and Sarah from the day we first visited the property, to the food & beverage tasting, and finally the day of. They accommodated every dietary restriction/request we had with grace (I am a vegetarian with a few vegan guests and wanted to ensure most of the meal fit this restriction). They also worked hard to ensure we had a great spread of local beer and wine in addition to an incredible signature cocktail. Our guests truly have not stopped raving about the food & drinks, and several have commented on our wedding being the best they have ever attended, and they themselves wanting to get married here (the food especially IS THAT GOOD!!!). We are one of few couples to walk away from the wedding planning process wishing we could do it all over again because it was such a magical and stress-free experience. We were able to drop off all of our decor and desserts the night before at the rehearsal, and they set everything up for us the day of. Our weather was 50 degrees and raining the entire day, but Precious reassured me several times that it would not disturb my vision for the day, and it didn't! The covered patio stayed totally dry, they set out a couple of blankets for our guests to use during the ceremony, and whoever wanted to eat inside was welcome to if they were too cold (it was totally up to me if I wanted them to move everything inside), but most didn't end up minding the cold at all! We even tried to move the dance floor inside, but it got so warm we ended up back outside pretty quickly. This is just one example of how accommodating and flexible the entire staff was for us. From the minute I met Precious, the chef, and later Sarah, I felt more like a friend than a client and we continue to look for ways to make the 2.5 hour drive back to visit/have other events there. The Cypress House

New Columbia, PA

The Cypress House is a Federal-style home constructed in 1835. Our property resides on 24 acres, along the bank of the Susquehanna River. In 1987, our family dedicated their hearts and hands to restoring the property to it's original glory. The estate features a stone barn dating back to 1817 and meticulously kept colonial gardens bursting with boxwood, magnolias, and garden roses. We are family owned and operated. When you choose to get married here, your wedding day is cared for and celebrated like you’re a part of our family. We specialize in outdoor, garden-side weddings, stunning candle lit receptions in our wood-grain pole tent, and the most talented in-house Floral and Design team. When you book with The Cypress House, you will also get to work with on of our Cypress Coordinators to ensure your planning process and wedding day are flawlessly executed.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Dressing room available

Venue considerations

  • No in-house catering options
  • Lighting and sound are not included
  • Not wheelchair accessible
I held my wedding at the Cypress House on May 27th and I cannot use a better word to describe the day than "perfect". The Cypress House is a truly exceptional venue and it is even more gorgeous than the photos. We hosted our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception at the venue. I cannot tell how many times throughout our wedding day my husband and I were asked "how did you find this place?!" Not only is the venue stunning but the staff is nothing short of exceptional. The three sisters who run this venue take tremendous pride in this place and it shows. They were all easy to work with and were so accommodating of my busy schedule while planning my wedding. Courtney made coordinating all aspects of the venue easy and provided an excellent list of vendors which were AMAZING. Alexa added the most gorgeous designs and rentals that enhanced our day and made it feel like us. Chelsea provided some of the most stunning florals ever and transformed our ceremony flowers into a gorgeous sweetheart table. The staff that helped us on the day was also amazing and we laughed at many points because they are so organized and on top of things we felt like we had the secret service keeping our wedding day running smoothly! Finally our day of coordinator Chloe was so easy to work with and immediately felt like a friend helping us make the day run perfectly. I would book the Cypress House 1000 times over and I am so happy that I chose to have my wedding at this venue. I cannot thank the Cypress House and their team enough for the amazing day they provided us.

We had our wedding reception at Iron & Ivy and cannot say enough great things about this venue and the team! The venue is stunning on its own, so very few decorations were even needed for a beautiful reception. The food was fantastic and beautifully displayed, we did not hear one complaint from our guests and they raved about the chicken! Our guests also complimented the staff on how accommodating and helpful they were. Karli, the wedding coordinator, made sure every detail and all of our ideas were perfectly executed. She and her team were incredible! They ensured throughout the entire evening that we had everything we needed. Prior to the event, every detail was gone over and confirmed. They set up and tore down everything, had it all packed up nicely on a cart waiting for us the morning after the wedding. We literally just showed up and had a great time! At the end of the night, we went up to our beautiful, impeccably clean, spacious bridal suite to find all our gifts had been delivered, as well as some left over food in our refrigerator. There were so many small details that just made the whole experience seem so personal and made it obvious the whole team really cared about making sure the night was perfect for us. Highly recommend Iron & Ivy if you are looking for a venue for your next event!

Would highly recommend Bellagio Fields for your wedding! Our wedding coordinator Bri was fantastic. She made sure during our cocktail hour when we did our pictures that we still were able to enjoy our hors d’oeuvres and signature drinks. They were very flexible and easy to work with. The venue itself is beautiful. The reception area is everything we wanted, a modern and very clean look. The after party area was perfect! We sat by the fire, played cornhole, and Kan jam for hours.
