Salt & Ivy was an absolute dream to work with. Highly communicative, professional, punctual, and absolute artists. From booking to receiving the photos, they were so amazing to work with. I (the bride) am typically very uncomfortable taking photographs. This was the first time in my life that I was actually at ease and having fun. 10/10 would and will book them again in the future for family/maternity photographs.

My name is Shaney and I am an Arkansas & California Photographer with a passion for capturing weddings & elopements on both digital and film. I took on the challenge and haven't looked back since!

Every time I work with Shaney, she provides a clam, reassuring presence. She is always looking for the little moments that are often missed and there for the big ones as expected. Her work is unique and timeless, full of motion and emotion, and has an incredible eye for light and details.

Storyteller Collective Photo Co

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $4,000
  • Serves Harrisonville, MO for additional fees

Storyteller Collective Photo Co., proudly located in Ames and serving the vibrant community of Des Moines, Iowa, and beyond. I began this company many moons ago with a solid purpose - to make people feel something and to evoke genuine emotions through my photography. My passion lies in documenting individuals as they live their best lives, immersed in the activities and passions that fuel their souls. As a non-traditional photographer, I thrive on capturing authentic memories rather than elaborate setups. It's about freezing moments in time that speak volumes and resonate deeply with those who experience them.

Awarded Best of Zola
I have worked with Storyteller Collective as a second photographer (wedding), and she is so relaxed and also efficient. She works with a sense of urgency but doesn't rush her clients. She knows her stuff when it comes to weddings and knows exactly how to arrange the day so that it serves her client. She's also very, very good at adapting when things change (like when it rains on an outdoor ceremony) and reassuring her clients that we've still got it covered. She is a really good person who is fun to work with. She produces high quality work on the regular and her work is so beautiful!

A true artist at heart, Danielle has spent over twenty-five years behind a camera. For over a decade she has specialized in recording couples and families in some of their most joyous moments. Utilizing both digital and film, she documents not only the major moments, but the minor moments, too, that sometimes go amiss: the grandmother gazing fondly at the new generation. The proud tearful eyes of a parent watching as their child embarks on an exciting new chapter. Big or small, with her trained eye Danielle captures every brushstroke to fully realize the memory of your special day.

Awarded Best of Zola
We hired Danielle for our elopement, and by the end of the day, it felt like she was a close friend. Then we got the photos — WOW. We will truly cherish this forever.

My name is Luca, and I’m the artist behind Bringer of Light Photography. A solo-run, heart-driven, editorial-meets-documentary brand for the tender-hearted, brave, and the deeply human. My work is built on the idea that photographs are not just decorations, but inheritances. I’ll meet you where you are. awkward, giddy, tearful, reverent, undone - and we’ll co-create something honest. This is not a factory. It’s me, showing up with my full heart to create something that feels true to you. If you want your story told with integrity, emotion, and reverence - You're in the right place.

From the moment we met Luca, we knew she was the right person to capture our wedding. She didn’t just document the big moments - she paid attention to the small, meaningful details that made private beach wedding day uniquely ours. Her creativity and professionalism instantly put us at ease, which was such a gift during all the nerves of the day. Luca brought a calming presence, endless patience, and such care to every part of the process. She made us feel seen, celebrated, and completely comfortable in front of the camera. I like to think of myself as a lil bit southern, lil bit punk, and a whole lotta rock-n-roll. I’m a PBR lover, hardcore show corner dweller, disco ball queen. You’re going to hear me say, “hell yeah, brother” more than twice, Dale Earnhardt is an icon, and Dolly Parton is royalty. You'll love me if you're a little trashy, always classy, badass, sometimes chic, forever romantic. It is a pleasure, an honor, and a privilege to be a part of these legacies. The core of my business is serving YOU, my clients, my people, my pals.

Kathleen is not only an incredible artist but an incredible person. She is incredibly thoughtful and has an amazing eye for documenting her couples in a unique and creative perspective. Kathleen is a delight to work with and her couples absolutely love her. Not only for the art she creates, but her couples know they will have the best time working with her. Kathleen makes you feel like an instant friend, and it's because you are! I absolutely recommend Kathleen.

Hi I’m Emma, an AR based, traveling photographer! My style is a blend of film, editorial, and artfully nostalgic imagery. I’m an observant documenter at heart. I was heavily raised on indie & coming of age films, so being moved by visuals is my cup of tea!! When it comes to your day, my goal is to direct when needed without interfering with the moment. I want to capture your spouse shedding a tear, your Uncle Jim going for his second plate of food, and your bff busting it down on the dance floor. I prefer to be a fly on the wall for these moments, but put on fergalicious and you leave me no choice but to hit the dance floor.

Emma is AMAZING! She brought our vision to life above and beyond what I could have imagined. She made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera and we genuinely had so much fun taking photos. The photos felt like us, which was the most important thing for us. 1000/10 would recommend her!!

Taylor Anne Neel Photography

  • Editorial style
  • Starts at $7,000
  • Serves Harrisonville, MO for additional fees

Hi I’m Taylor Anne! She/her! I’m a published editorial fashion and wedding photographer based out of Dallas, Texas! I knew for certain that I wanted to be a photographer on a trip to Paris with my mom in 2005. I had a small little point and shoot digital camera that I used to take photos of literally everything around the city. I got artistic with the sunset over the Seine, and caught a couple having a romantic moment on the bridge. It was then that I said to myself, “Oh, I actually kind of like this,” and began the process of photographing for the next 16 years.

We got married almost a year ago at this point and we cannot begin to describe how great working with Taylor was. She was always SO on top of everything. She is incredibly prompt with her responses and was able to answer any questions we had. Scheduling with her was a breeze (even when the weather never cooperated with us & we had to reschedule engagement photos). She used many different photography styles (digital, film, etc.). Our photos & videos turned out BEAUTIFUL! She is truly an artist!!! We adore her timeless style and eye for the finest details. She captured our day exactly how we had envisioned. We will cherish these special photos for the rest of our lives and look forward to working with Taylor again in the future!

A Charleston Wedding Photographer with a fierce love for storytelling, fostering memories and capturing those moments that you will want to treasure forever. I get to tell your story. And, I think that’s pretty cool. I love traveling everywhere and anywhere, talking with my hands, buying plants (and attempting to keep them alive), and spending as much time as I can with my loved ones. I have lived in Boston, Paris, and New York City, and am now lucky enough to call Charleston home, while also still traveling the world for my clients. You can usually find me on my back porch in downtown Charleston, right next to my favorite little park.

tldr: Jessica is amazing and I don’t think you can go wrong with her if this is the style of photos you like I had a lot of difficulty picking a photographer as I’m pretty picky with photos. I knew I wanted something bright and light, with kind of a whimsical or ethereal vibe, but it was really hard finding the style until I came across the “fine art” style. Jessica’s name came up while researching this style and I decided to reach out to her among a few other fine art photographers. I definitely hoped talks would go well with Jessica as the others I contacted ended up either not responding or were wildly out of my budget. Pre-Planning: Jessica was wonderful throughout this process. She promptly responded to my emails and answered questions clearly. I never felt like I was left in the dark for any part of the process. When I sent her the timeline of the ceremony/reception, she quickly came up with a timeline to slot in all the photos to be taken ahead of time at the location (We had access to the venue for a little over an hour prior to the ceremony). She also asked for a list of family photos that we wanted to take. This made it very easy at the wedding as she could call out people’s name to make sure everyone that was supposed to be in the pictures, were in the pictures. Jessica also sent over a list of ideas for detail shots and explained she could do this ahead of time. We didn’t want extra pictures of these and decided against it, however, I still thought it was very thoughtful of her to offer. Wedding Day: I loved her energy at the wedding. She was very calm and felt very competent. She directed my husband and I throughout the pictures, showing us poses etc. During family and wedding party photos, even though we had many bodies to fit in the frame in quite a few pictures, she led us through them with ease and the entire experience was very stress free (or as stress free as can be at a wedding lol). The venue was quite dim at specific locations, but the final results did not reflect that at all. The pictures were bright and did not look like they were taken in the dark at all. (This is a little off topic but I loved the little apron with pockets she wore for her equipment. So cute) I’m not sure when Jessica had the time, but there were pictures around the venue which were so beautiful. I definitely feel like the day was captured through the pictures. Post Wedding: Jessica sent us a sneak peak 2 days after the wedding containing 23 pictures. They turned out great and were beautiful. You can see examples on her website so I won’t elaborate, but they really are that good. The full gallery was sent almost a month after the wedding (minus 2 days) with instructions on purchasing prints or an album attached. The full download contained 650ish files, including the sneak peek pictures. Half of which were black and white, so this matched up pretty perfectly with Jessica’s estimation of the amount of photos when we spoke in the pre-planning stage.

Photography has always been my way of connecting with the world, but weddings hold a special place in my heart. There's something truly magical about experiencing every emotion of the day alongside the couple - the joy, the happy tears, the excitement, and even the quiet, heartfelt moments in between. Being entrusted to capture those emotions is an honor I don't take lightly. With each click of the shutter, I'm not just taking a photo - I'm preserving a piece of your story, one that you can cherish forever.

We had the absolute pleasure of working with Lauren for our wedding, and I truly can’t recommend her enough! From the moment we first met her, it was clear that she wasn’t just passionate about photography—she genuinely cared about capturing the essence of our day in the most beautiful, authentic way possible. Lauren has an extraordinary eye for detail. She doesn’t just take pictures; she captures moments—the spontaneous smiles, the glances exchanged, the raw emotions. From the very beginning, she made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera—something neither of us was used to. She took the time to understand our style and personalities, and tailored her approach to fit that perfectly. Hi, I'm Mary Kate, a wedding photographer based in DC, dedicated to capturing the love and emotion of your special day. With a love for storytelling, I create timeless images that couples will cherish forever. My approach focuses on making you feel comfortable and at ease, ensuring that your wedding day is as stress-free and enjoyable as possible. My goal is to document your wedding in a way that reflects your personality and love story, creating a visual narrative that you'll treasure for years to come.

I can’t say enough good things about Mary Kate! She did both my engagement and wedding day photos. We booked her when she was somewhat new to shooting weddings, but you never would have known because she’s a pro! My pictures are so beautiful they brought me to tears. She’s so easy to work with and makes the whole process a breeze. She comes with her own ideas but also gives you the opportunity to share your own on what kind of pictures you want. I highly recommend!
