“My partner and I were recently had a Halloween wedding here, and I cannot recommend Hanover Tavern enough. Having an all-inclusive venue was so extremely helpful and took off a lot of stress when planning. The location is beautiful, especially if you're planning a Fall wedding. We rented the Coach House for our wedding, and had our ceremony in the courtyard. The Coach House has a nice rustic warm charm while still feeling modern. The history and theater of the venue is so cool and unique. They also recently installed a nice patio with a firepit and other heating elements. So our guests could mingle there comfortably in the chilly fall evening. Price was extremely fair, and there are many different options to fit your budget. We also felt extremely welcome as gay couple. The food is fantastic!!! All our guests were raving about the food. They have a wide range of options available. And the chef is extremely accommodating, we had a seasonal dessert and requested it again for our wedding. They knocked it out of the park. But the staff is really what makes Hanover Tavern special. Krissy, the day of coordinator, was so helpful, down to earth, and fun to work with! My family and wedding party loved her. and we always looked forward to our planning meetings. She was also extremely flexible, and helped make accommodations for our themed wedding. She was also very conscious of my Grandmother, who is getting quite up there in age, but still wanted to take part of all the fun! Krissy assisted her and really made her experience special. The event staff are extremely attentive and friendly, and its nice seeing the same group of people throughout the day. They maneuvered our guests around expertly, and even helped transition some of our decorations from outside to the reception without us even asking. They always have your wedding experience in mind, and will go above and beyond to make it special. Even when we had a costume piece break, without a second of hesitation, the staff whisked it away and gave it back to me fixed. I was incredibly touched. Shout out to Don the bartender, he was also excellent and brought an awesome energy to the event that my guests loved. I would recommend Hanover Tavern again and again. They really made our wedding something special :)”

“Seven Springs was the 1st venue I toured and it set the bar so high, it was an easy choice for my wedding venue. Located about 20-30 mins outside of Richmond, it’s in the perfect location being close to the city and airport, but also in the beautiful country of Hanover county. Seven Springs has a colonial/rustic/garden party vibe to it but also has the ability and space to make it into whatever vision you have for your wedding day. There are multiple buildings on the venue grounds which allow for multiple inside spaces for pictures and guests but also can sleep about 25 people for the weekend. My husband and I rented the venue for the weekend which ended up being perfect as our entire wedding party was able to sleep at the venue for the whole weekend. We had our welcome night/rehearsal dinner on the venue as well as a Sunday brunch and it was so easy and convenient for us to just walk out of our lodgings to get to the next event. Other great features: cute farm animals, beautiful scenery, beautiful bridal suite, beautiful pavilion with rain slaps for rain plan/reception. Tip: Book Tracy as your wedding planner! She works there full-time so she knows the lay of the land/tips & tricks and she’s the sweetest and best to work with.”

“We had our daughter’s September 2025 wedding at Virginia Crossings in Glen Allen, Va (Richmond area). It is a boutique plantation-style hotel on 20 acres with a street lamp lined curving drive up to the main buildings. Our guests raved about the gorgeous estate-like grounds, the service, and the delicious, beautifully presented food. Many of our guests have lived in the Richmond area for years and never realized Virginia Crossings existed. It’s such a hidden gem! Chef Ashby knocked it out of the park with the cocktail hour hors d’oeuvres and plated dinner entrees. The portions were huge and so yummy! I’m still dreaming about the salmon with English pea puree and risotto. The wedding package prices are reasonable for what you get. Packages range from 110 to 140 per person (plus a 23% admin fee, taxes, and tips) and include a 4 hour open bar, 4 passed and 2 stationary hors d’oeuvres for cocktail hour, 3 course plated or buffet dinner, cake cutting, champagne toast for all guests, a Day of Coordinator and assistant, floor length linens and choice of napkin color, upgraded china, all glassware and silverware, tables and chairs, 5 hours of event time, ample getting ready spaces for both bridal parties, and a night’s stay in the Bridal Suite for the bride and groom. If you choose to have your ceremony on site, there is a 2000 site fee. You can get married in the lovely outdoor courtyard garden or other outdoor space, the interior Madison Lobby or in one of the smaller event rooms. Their rain plan is exceptional. It rained on my daughter’s wedding day, and they didn’t miss a beat. And because the interior spaces are so beautiful, there were plenty of spots for great pictures inside. Because the property has a hotel building, 2/3 of our 137 guests stayed on site for the whole weekend. Our family members who arrived on Thursday told us that the grounds crew was busy mowing, weeding, and trimming to make everything look perfect. And they saw cleaning crews in all the public areas scrubbing and polishing until the hotel sparkled. The hotel staff also handed out our Welcome Bags to our guests as they checked in. Without a doubt, the BEST thing about having a wedding at Virginia Crossings was working with Jeffery Ward in conference and event sales. He, his assistant Elise, and his staff worked incredibly hard to make our daughter’s wedding flow seamlessly. He managed all our vendors, ran the rehearsal, organized the bridal party, kept us on track with our timeline, and even helped bustle the bride’s dress. Jeffery also executed our vision for the cocktail hour and ballroom spaces flawlessly! When the doors to the ballroom opened for dinner, I rushed in so that I could see it all decorated before it filled with our guests. And it literally took my breath away! It was BEAUTIFUL!!! So romantic and dreamy!”
