Niche Hitch
Rating: 5.0 (5 reviews)
  • Serves Grosse Pointe Park, MI

Lindsay started her career as a teenager working in the floral department of a local grocer. After graduating with a bachelor’s in fashion and a minor in fiber arts, she retraced her floral tradition with an enlightened approach. Niché Hitch was established in 2016 in Joshua Tree, CA from a repurposed vintage trailer that doubled as a studio space and mobile retailer (hence “Hitch”). It was here Lindsay got her start in the event industry, designing ceremony floral for destination weddings. Niché Hitch has since relocated to Detroit, MI where she has a private studio, and focuses on large scale weddings, events, and installations.

Niche Hitch was a fantastic florist to work with for our wedding. From the very first conversation, their communication style was collaborative, making the planning process smooth and enjoyable. The quality of their work was absolutely beautiful - they brought our colorful vision to life in such a creative and fun way. The pedestals they created for our ceremony were vibrant and eye-catching, and all of the florals throughout the day were stunning. We were thrilled with how everything turned out and would highly recommend Niche Hitch to any couple looking for a talented, passionate florist to help bring their colorful wedding dreams to life.

Using SBB was a great choice for our wedding - a fraction of the cost of fresh flowers, sustainable, and beautiful! We got centerpieces and some ceremony decor. Everything came boxed up safely and arrived like 5 days before the wedding. It was super easy for our coordinator to just take them out, fluff them up, and box them up again at the end of the night. I felt good renting not throwing away a bunch of stuff at the end. And again, the flowers were so beautiful!!

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

Exceptional service. Flowers don't always travel well. The flowers I ordered for my daughter's wedding bouquet and the grooms boutonniere. They arrived in less than ideal condition I contacted customer service and Alexa was incredibly helpful. She not only sent new flowers overnight but was truly concerned that they now arrived in great condition. The new flowers were gorgeous and perfect. I will be buying all my flowers from Flower Moxie. Thank you Alexa.

Planning your wedding flowers should feel exciting, not overwhelming. If you've been gathering inspiration and wondering whether your budget can actually bring that vision to life — it can. That's exactly what we do.

Awarded Best of Zola
I knew from the beginning that I didn't want to spend more than 3,000–3,500 on flowers for my wedding, but I still wanted them to feel special. My vision was wildflower-inspired arrangements that were beautiful without being overwhelming. Our venue was an old equestrian barn converted into a wedding venue, and it already had so much character and impact on its own. I wanted the flowers to complement the space with a dainty, elegant, and minimal aesthetic. Most importantly, I really wanted daisies incorporated into the design. From my very first conversation with Adrienne, my floral consultant, I felt completely at ease. She made me feel like my vision was achievable, which was not the experience I had with some traditional florists. She listened carefully to what I wanted and helped me feel confident throughout the process. I was paired with floral designer Tiffany Reamer, and she absolutely exceeded my expectations. Flowers were never something I thought I'd get especially excited about, but I literally cried when my flowers were delivered. They were even more beautiful than I had imagined. Tiffany perfectly captured the look and feel I was hoping for and made sure to include daisies, which meant so much to me. Throughout the entire process, Poppy Flowers was transparent, communicative, and incredibly easy to work with. Their website was intuitive, making it simple to review designs, ask questions, and stay informed every step of the way. I highly recommend Poppy Flowers to any couple looking for gorgeous wedding florals that won't blow their budget. They delivered arrangements that far exceeded my expectations while staying true to my vision, and I couldn't have been happier with the result.

The Faux Bouquets were an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. Their communication was fast and clear throughout the entire process, making it easy for us to coordinate the floral designs we wanted. is a home-based wedding and event floral studio in Ann Arbor, Michigan, serving couples throughout Metro Detroit. We create bespoke, garden-inspired floral designs with a focus on sustainability and artistry. Consultations are by appointment only.

Laura was truly a joy and a pleasure to work with. Her level of professionalism, communication, and execution is top-tier. From our first conversation, she shared with us a "mood board", outlining both our and her vision for how our wedding florals would look. This easily allowed us to see and communicate our thoughts and ideas. Laura was also honest, never trying to upsell us. We appreciated that when we began discussing more ornate floral designs, Laura reminded us that this was out of the budget we had initially told her, and offered us more cost effective solutions. We did ultimately end up going with the more ornate design and it turned out beautifully. Laura took our initial vision of a "floral cloud" suspended in our venue's pergola from a outlandish idea and worked with it until she had something realistic, considering not only how we would suspend it (she ultimately settled on a pretty complicated cabling system that was rock solid) but also how the flowers would last through the evening without access to water. This is not something your average florist could do - but Laura is not an average florist. Several of our guests commented on her displays, and we have received many photos from our guests just of her floral cloud that she made for us. It really was the star decoration of our venue. If Laura ever gets bored of florals (unlikely), she could also make a great wedding coordinator. Throughout the planning process, Laura gave us several reminders on general wedding tips and was proactive with our vendors on securing timelines, promised equipment, and other things that we ourselves missed. We highly recommend Little Workshop Floral. They will be our first stop for any future floral needs!

The flowers (on our order) came in large boxes, but they were not labeled, so it took a minute to get the flowers both identified and properly set up. To be fair we were warned about the process, but not about the length of time due to our inexperience. As a note, it took my fiancé 5 hours to process the flowers when first receiving them. I also did not have any updates from them from the time I ordered till they were being shipped. They were beyond more affordable compared to other florists, and the flowers arrived alive and in good spirits. We were able to keep the flowers alive for over four days!! Many of the flowers that we chose did not have specific instructions, so we had to follow the general reference for the flowers and hope for the best. Additionally, some of the flowers that we wanted were not in stock, and they were replaced for us with substitutes but were not notified until we had all of the flowers already delivered to us. Also, as a note, bloom culture uses third party sellers for their flowers, so the quality may vary depending on location. Our flowers were in good condition, and the company we had clearly took good care of the flowers prior to delivering them to us. Would we do it again? Probably not, but it made for good laughs and bonding time and we have stories to tell from it!

We hired Paula and Samantha pretty down to the wire of our wedding, but they immediately jumped in! We contacted them on Friday, and they had our proposal ready by Monday! Our flowers fit our vibe perfectly: I wanted something to pull from the venue's brick, but not look too "autumny" for our January wedding, and they nailed it! They look and feel like "regular" flowers, but they'll last forever and have so far held up perfectly! We're gifting a number of our pieces to our mothers and grandmothers as keepsakes from our amazing day, while saving the rest to display around our house! We're so happy to have such beautiful mementoes to remember it by!

Stephanie was great to work with from beginning to end. The flowers were beautiful! We would definitely recommend Keepsake Designs. We received many compliments. She did a wonderful job on the arrangements using inspiration photos from my daughter including making pocket boutonnières for the groomsmen. She also provided glass vases for the bridesmaids to display their bouquets at the bridal table. I was kept up to date via text with delivery as well as clean up. We received quotes from 3 other florists and Stephanie was by far the most reasonably priced. I wish I had better pictures to share since we don't have the photographers' photos as yet, but we had a 26' garland for the chapel, flowers attached to every other row, bouquets for 7 bridesmaids and the bride, 7 pocket boutonnières for the groomsmen and the groom, 2 regular boutonnieres for the fathers, 2 corsages for the mothers and then 12 centerpieces.
