I truly do not have enough positive descriptors for our experience with Mama Mak’s events. Makayla was very communicative from the very beginning, and worked to create gorgeous bouquets that matched our inspiration completely. Aside from the lovely arrangements, Makayla stayed for the entire event after our caterer failed to show up, helping in every way that she could with set up, being welcoming to our guests, and otherwise going above and beyond. The floral arrangements were beautiful, and afterward, Makayla helped us to find a great place to donate the flowers, and delivered them there for us as well. She’s an absolutely lovely person with incredible talent and I would work with her again in a heartbeat.

I gave her my Pinterest inspiration and she was helpful, professional, realistic with us and worked with us to achieve our vision. I fully trusted her and left everything to her, her work speaks for itself and she treats every event like it's her own. How to capture the INCREDIBLE impact Ale had on our wedding? I would have to start with our first meeting. My wife and I were stresssssing about wedding planning and starting to feel like the whole process was going to be painful. Enter: Alejandra. She came to our home and sat out on our deck with us to chat flowers. Her energy was kind, enthusiastic, and so, so grounded. It turned our whole wedding process around, and made us feel like anything was possible. She helped us go from random, disjointed floral dreams to a colorful and cohesive vision for a beautiful wedding day. My wife and I had different priorities, and even some clashing ideas about arrangements and particular blooms. Ale came up with suggestions that made both of us feel heard and delighted. In the end, we had a spectacular sunflower arrangement at our ceremony, which played off our hanging acrylic backdrop and redwood forest setting, a white ranunculus and kumquat bridal bouquet, a groom's boutonniere to match, and table arrangements that brought in whites, oranges, and fresh citrus to honor my family's history. Ale went out of her way to make a special boutonniere for our 7-year-old family friend who was a "flower boy," as well as to bring buckets of flowers for my mom and her cousins to arrange for bouquets inside the house. The bridal bouquet was my single favorite detail from the entire wedding. I had heard a lot, during wedding planning, about flowers being easily disappointing, as sometimes the blooms you're hoping for aren't available. Our flowers went so beyond my expectations, or what I could have asked for. And Alejandra was an absolute angel to work with. We are so grateful, and would encourage anyone to work with Pollen Floral. Photos by Tammy Horton Photography

Mint + Peonies Floral Studio
Rating: 5.0 (2 reviews)
  • Starts at $3,500
  • Serves Graton, CA

Hi, I’m Griselda, a Northern California wine country wedding florist and mom of three. My journey into floral design began as a healing path through postpartum depression and grew into a passion for creating meaningful, beautiful weddings. I thrive on connecting with couples, learning their unique stories, and crafting timeless designs that bring their vision to life. With a love for creativity and detail, I’m here to help you make long-lasting memories and create stunning backdrops for your special day.

To say Griselda delivered would be an understatement— she absolutely blew our expectations out of the water. I contacted her weeks before our elopement. Not only did she squeeze me in, but she also made a digital mock up so I felt comfortable moving forward with the purchase. These weren’t just flowers… this was art. Our photographer (who has seen many florals and table scapes) even commented that this is one of the best she has ever seen. TY for making our day extra special.

Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers
Rating: 4.9 (81 reviews)
  • Starts at $350
  • Serves Graton, CA

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

We used the “Full Monty” package for our wedding and DIY-ed all our florals. Our florist, Hattie, did a great job listening to our vision and responded to all of our questions quickly! We explored options together, and she was able to help us get so much more than we would have with a florist and with the exact color palette we were looking at. Neither of us are great at design/DIY, but we felt very supported by the plethora of tutorials, recipes, and videos to create our flowers. With our florals, we made 6 pillar arrangements, 2 bridal bouquets, 8 bridesmaid bouquets, 3 corsages, a boutonniere, 2 medium centerpieces, and close to 100 bud vases. My maid of honor made my bridal bouquet, which made it even more special than it would have if a florist had made it. The flowers arrived at our AirBnb without any issues, and we lost barely any florals! I will say if DIY-ing flowers, whether with Flower Moxie or not, make sure you have people to help - especially with getting the florals out of the wrapping, in buckets, and cutting stems. We had our crews help, and it still looked overwhelming at first, so I can see how it can be stressful. We had our day-of-coordinator set everything up florals-wise on our wedding day, and everything looked GORGEOUS. If you have the people to help and are looking for more florals for less money, we would definitely recommend DIY-ing with flower moxie

I had a fantastic experience doing my Long Island backyard wedding florals through Poppy. Michelle was our floral consultant, and she was absolutely amazing throughout the whole planning process. I loved the ability to choose florals through the portal while also uploading inspiration pictures and tweaking things with Michelle's help. I was able to share photos, and Michelle assured me that they would be able to create arrangements just like the inspiration photos. Communication through the portal was seamless and quick. On the day of the wedding, I was SO pleased with the flowers. They were even more beautiful than I could have ever imagined! Anyelys, the local designer assigned to my wedding, was kind, collaborated beautifully with my coordinators, and did such a wonderful job with the flowers. It was everything I expected and more, just like the photos I had submitted! I LOVED my bouquet in particular. Anyelys also went above and beyond, helping us use extra leftover flowers around the property. We are so grateful and recommend Poppy wholeheartedly! It was an awesome and stress-free experience.

Working with Jen for our October 2025 wedding was AMAZING!! From the moment we sent in an online inquiry, Jen was attentive, responsive, thoughtful, and incredibly detail oriented. She got us set up with a project planning doc immediately, and she was SO patient with us even when we were annoyingly indecisive about our vision lol. She met with us via Zoom to answer all of our questions when we were struggling to finish the document (and she is just as thorough and helpful via Zoom as she is via email). Once we placed our final order, Jen was communicative and thorough about the process of what happened next in terms of pickup, payment, etc. When we picked up our flowers, we were ASTOUNDED by how beautiful they were. I mean, we knew they would be beautiful, but truly, WOW. Aside from bouquets & boutonnieres, we also got garlands to use as centerpieces for our guests’ farmhouse tables, as well as small wooden circle magnets with a flower on top (we wood burned the j c into them ourselves) to use as favors. And they all looked incredible. An employee at our venue said that our decor was “the best she’s ever seen this place look,” and a large part of our decor was these flowers. I cannot recommend Jen and Wood and Word Blooms ENOUGH!!! PS bouquet photo is from today (1/5/26)!! The longevity is insane!

We had our wedding at Legion of Honor Art Museum in SF in early September and had the honor to have Autumn as our florist. She has been an absolute joy to work with. From the very beginning, Autumn was responsive, patient, and respectful in her communication, taking the time to understand our vision and work within our budget. The result was truly stunning - the floral arrangements were beautiful, creative, and one of a kind. She created a pink purple white garden-style palette for our ceremony on the lawn, and a moody berry plum-y palette for the more artsy cocktail hour and reception later that night. Autumn navigated the venue's policies regarding floral delivery and decoration style with great attention to detail, and she even enhanced the unique color palette we had requested with her own creative flair. We were thrilled with how everything turned out and would highly recommend Autumn Marcelle Design to any couple planning their wedding.
