About Sonora House Events | Formerly Hutson Floral Design
Chuck & Abe Hutson
We’re Abe and Chuck, the husband-and-husband team behind Sonora House Events. We’re an intentionally small wedding planning and floral design studio creating thoughtful, elevated celebrations throughout Colorado, Scottsdale, and beyond. We take on a limited number of weddings each year so our couples work directly with us and receive a truly personal experience from the first conversation through the wedding day. Our approach is warm, collaborative, and detail-driven, with every celebration designed to feel beautiful, intentional, and completely personal to our couples.
What sets Sonora House Events apart is the balance of creativity and logistics we bring together under one team. Chuck brings nearly two decades of floral and event design experience, while Abe brings a background in international business and finance, planning, logistics, and client experience. Together, we approach every wedding from both sides—the way it looks and the way it works—creating celebrations that feel personal, intentional, beautifully designed, and seamlessly executed.

Made the Desert Even More Beautiful
Chuck and Abe knocked it out of the park! They took our vision of colorful desert florals and beautifully complemented our venue and brought our desired whimsy, joy, and floral diversity to each of the pieces they created for us. They were a delight to work with - collaborative, communicative, and generous with their ideas and feedback. The design we landed on included: 2 floral towers to frame the ceremony stage Aisle arrangements Small bud vases for cocktail hour A sweetheart table design Bouquets, corsages, and boutonnières Guest table floral arrangements The amount of flowers and variety used was jaw-dropping. They made our vision come to life and did it with joy. They were a major part of our special day and we received too many compliments on the floral design from guests and other vendors to count.

Hutson Floral Design was a dream to work with for our wedding! From the moment we met with Chuck and Abraham, they were so helpful, easy to communicate with, and genuinely fun to be around. They really took the time to understand the vision I had for my florals and then brought it to life in the most stunning way for both our rehearsal dinner and wedding day. The quality of their work was incredibly professional and the value was unbeatable. The florals ended up being one of my absolute favorite parts of our entire wedding - I can't even begin to explain how beautiful everything turned out. I would book Hutson Floral Design in a heartbeat and can't wait to see all the photos so I can admire their incredible talent again!

The vendor closed the inquiry without any communication following my reply to their pricing inquiry. If our budget was an issue, a quick message to share that they cannot work within our budget would have been very much appreciated. I am disappointed on the method of communication.

Incredible work
From the moment we first reached out to Hutson Floral Design, we were blown away by their excellent, friendly, and warm communication. Chuck and Abe were incredibly quick to respond to all of our questions and provided us with specific details about their process and services. On the day of our wedding, the floral arrangements they created were simply incredible - the beauty and quality of their work exceeded our wildest expectations. Our guests were in awe and we received so many compliments on the flowers. They understood our vision perfectly and executed it better than we could have ever imagined. I cannot recommend working with Chuck and Abe enough!
