Hi! My name is Sophia Gouirand and I currently live in Orange County. I have been baking ever since I was a little girl satisfying the sweet tooth of my family and friends. I always had a passion for baking, but catering for my friend’s baby shower made me realize I wanted to turn baking into more than just a hobby. Baking gave me the fulfillment I could not find elsewhere.

I started baking in my early teens for fun. Home-style baking at first, then training in my cousin's bakeries in Solvang, California. Family and Friends began to request pies, cakes and other dessert items for their special events from me, so I decided to make it my business.

Pastry Chef Natalie Soto discovered her passion for food in high school, and would frequently bake for her friends. While attending culinary school, she started her career at The St. Regis Hotel & Resort. It was there that she realized she wanted to focus on the sweeter side of food, and transferred into the Pastry kitchen. It was there that she learned how to make all sorts of sweet indulgences, including chocolate sculptures, tarts, petit fours, and most importantly cakes!!! Sweet as Love was soon born, and she’s been delighting clients ever since. Her passion and talent is designing and creating stylish, unique, and contemporary cakes.

I am vegan and a mother to a spunky 7 year old girl that keeps me young. Like every mother, I want the best for my child including cookies that use better and cleaner ingredients. I created Booskies Cookies in 2019 for my daughter and for others looking for a delicious vegan cookie option. ​ Booskies Cookies is named after my daughter, Finley.
