Keane’s Wood-Fired Catering was founded by husband and wife team, Padraic and Kaylyn Keane. Padraic grew up working in his parents’ village pub in Galway, Ireland and moved to the United States in 2015 where he became fascinated with traditional southern barbecue. Padraic welded his first wood-fired smoker at the Steel Yard in Providence and Keane’s held their first catered event at Whalers Brewing in South Kingstown in 2016. Since then Keane’s has continued to build a reputation for exceptional food and service.

“I don't even know where to begin - our wedding wouldn't have been the AMAZING event it was without Keane's! We will be forever grateful for their hard-working staff, delicious food/bar services, and of course KYM! Kym was my main point of contact from the beginning of my wedding planning - every single thought/question I threw her way, she had a helpful answer that was prompt and kind. We ended up having Kym add on service as a day of coordinator - and my family is still talking about how much of a rockstar she was. All of my guests that I interacted with that day, and now after, have commented on how lovely all of the catering staff was, and how truly great the food was. I am dreaming about the brisket meatballs, bluefish crostini and mac and cheese. I also had a guest who told me the bar staff made the best margarita they have ever had! We seriously cannot thank this team enough, and I just hope that I am lucky enough to go to another event that they are a part of. I wish I had photos to share of the amazing food, but just know that you will not be disappointed! THANK YOU!!!”

“We loved our experience with Island Time. Our guests raved about the food, which is what matters, but on top of that, the drinks were amazing, and the staff was incredible and so kind. They did end up being about a half-hour later than we initially agreed upon, and one of our upgrades as far as a second choice for meals was forgotten, but once we reached out about it, they responded immediately, and we were refunded right away. Even with this, I would not hesitate to book them again for any future function.”

“I loved loved loved our experience with Comeketo catering for our wedding. Right from the start the service through Eduarda was impeccable. She went above and beyond every step of the way. I cannot say enough good things about her. And even if the food was average I probably would still recommended Comeketo just based on service alone but the food was fantastic. We did two tastings with them, as the food at our wedding was one of the most important things to us and we wanted to curate the perfect menu. Our guests were a good mix of different ethnicities and age groups and they all raved about the food. They also worked with me to create a custom grazing table and our guests loved that too! I just wish I had more photos of the rest of the food. I I will surely be using them for all our catering events!”

The food was delicious, featuring Mediterranean style seasoning, fresh proteins, and veggies, and everything was prepared and cooked to perfection. They prepared a special dessert for us at the end and it was to die for! I’m still thinking about it 2 days later. Outside of the amazing food, you could tell John and Julie truly care about making your special day memorable, making sure everything runs smoothly, and really getting to know the couples they work with. From the first conversation all the way through the end of the event, everything was handled with so much professionalism, care, and attention to detail. Planning an event can be stressful, especially when you’re trying to make sure the food, setup, timing, and overall experience come together the way you imagined. The team at Maison D made the entire process feel so much easier. They listened to what we wanted, communicated with us throughout the process, and were very accommodating when it came to the little details that mattered to us. The food was honestly one of the highlights of the event. Everything tasted fresh, was seasoned really well, and the presentation was beautiful. Our guests kept talking about how good the food was, and several people even asked who catered the event. The portions were great, everything came out looking professional, and you could tell that they actually take pride in what they serve. What impressed me just as much as the food was the service. The staff was friendly, respectful, attentive, and professional without making things feel stiff or overly formal. “We cannot recommend Soraya and her team enough! We had a Turkish American wedding and she was both our caterer and coordinator. The food was delicious and we are still getting compliments almost a month after! She really understood what was needed to combine both Turkish and American style foods, and was very conscious of what would work for our crowd and what wouldn’t. Soraya was able to answer questions I didn’t even know I had, and we were able to confidently hand everything over to her so that we were fully present during our special day. “Nikia did an Amazing job for my son and nephews graduation party! She provided us with several menus to choose from to create a wonderful spread for our guests! When I tell you the guests could NOT stop talking about the food, they could not stop raving about it all! Everything was so delicious! Not only did she do an amazing job with the food but it was truly a full service experience! She handled everything from the decorations, set up, linens, and breakdown!
