“I don't even know where to start--TL/DR: Hire Jeff and his crew immediately, this is an easy decision amidst many difficult ones! Jeff was simply wonderful to work with; his easygoing and kind presence were evident from our very first video call. His assistants day-of were likewise incredibly upbeat and professional. Their coverage was comprehensive but somehow completely unobtrusive; my husband and I didn't notice them at all during the day save for some personalized instruction from Jeff (which he was amenable to doing more or less of per our preference, as we wanted things to feel as natural as possible). His presence was just what you would want, like a bright ray of sunlight cutting through the stress of the day. I felt like we were in good hands, and that he and his crew were doing their absolute best. We were excited for the video(s) but unprepared for the quality. You see, Jeff's prices are far more reasonable than many others we looked at, and his services more comprehensive, and a part of us wondered if it was too good to be true. It wasn't. We were blown away. The short video (set to a song of our choice and edited perfectly to fit the song) was a work of art; he perfectly captured the feeling of the day and picked the best footage. The longer video was so well edited too--we were expecting something much more raw but there was so much attention to detail. Above and beyond, and incredibly thorough, is how I would characterize Jeff for the entirety of the process. We couldn't be more pleased. “Avec L'Amour captured our wedding in June of 2023. We went with Avec L'Amour because we really liked the style and felt the prices were extremely reasonable compared to some of the other videographers out there. We went with the package that included the highlight film and the feature-length film. The audio on the feature-length film is a little tough to hear because of all the background noise, but we were outdoors and in front of a lake, so it’s understandable. While planning for our wedding, we worked directly with John. He had great energy and seemed very prepared every time we interacted with him. However, we never met John in-person because the day before our wedding, he reached out saying he could no longer make it and would be sending a replacement instead. This was understandably very stressful, but fortunately the replacement he sent was awesome. We would have liked to know this update earlier if possible, however we know that’s not always possible, and this was our only complaint in working with him. When John sent us the footage of our wedding, we were so happy with it with the exception of one place where the audio didn’t match up, one place where suddenly the video went purple, and the fact that one of our best man’s speeches was completely left out of the highlight reel; we brought these concerns to John, and he fixed them with no hesitation in a timely manner. Though we can’t review John’s videography or wedding day presence directly, we did have a good experience with his company and would recommend it!”
