I’m Ryan, the filmmaker behind Gray Mustache Studios. After nearly a decade in weddings, I launched my own studio in 2023, blending documentary storytelling with a crafted, cinematic option for couples who want something more guided. I’m also a career firefighter in Howell, which taught me calm under pressure and the value of preserving meaningful moments. The studio is named in honor of my dad and his gray mustache — a reminder to capture moments before they pass.

Every couple deserves a wedding film that feels true to them. That’s why we offer two distinct approaches: a quiet, documentary style that captures your day naturally, and a bespoke, cinematic option for couples who want something more guided and artfully composed. No matter the style, your experience is tailored, personal, and stress‑free. And when it’s all done, your films are delivered on a keepsake USB and a premium video frame — a modern heirloom you can relive anytime without searching through files or devices.

    HIGHLY recommend!!

    We cannot recommend Ryan enough as our wedding videographer! He captured our wedding day so beautifully and authentically, allowing us to relive every special moment all over again. Watching our video brings us right back to the emotions, joy, and love we felt that day, and it’s something we will cherish forever.     Couldn't be happier!

    I honestly could not be happier with Ryan's work! He was able to accommodate my request of filling just our ceremony for an extremely affordable and appropriate price. He was very professional, we barely noticed he was there filming. Ryan returned our edited video back very timely and made quick edits for the perfect video. He provided exactly what we were looking for, at a great price and was a pleasure to work with. Thank you Ryan!!

    Perfect proposal photographer!

    Ryan did a great job capturing my proposal. He worked with my fiancé to get the perfect shot & even stayed after to shoot more of the two of us after the proposal. Couldn’t recommend him more!!!

    Fantastic Proposal and Engagement Shoot

    Ryan travelled to NYC to photograph my proposal and engagement shoot. He is incredibly professional and went above and beyond to help pick out the perfect spot to propose. Friends and family have continued to comment on how great our pictures turned out. I highly recommend working with Ryan for wedding related photography and videography.

    The Wedding Video of Our Dreams!

    We had such an amazing experience working with Gray Mustache Studios! Ryan was professional, organized, and prepared for everything the day of our wedding. Even before the wedding day, Ryan reached out to our photographer to introduce himself, since they would be working closely together on the day of the wedding. Between getting ready in the hotel rooms, to the first look and bridal party pictures, Ryan worked seamlessly with our photographer to get all the shots he needed while also allowing the photographer the space he needed as well. He knew exactly where to be (and when) to capture so many amazing moments of one of the best days of our lives. Even during our reception, I would look around and see Ryan getting footage of our guests enjoying themselves on the dance floor and capturing candid moments and it was amazing to know that we will be able to relive our night over and over again! So quickly after our wedding, we already had a social media highlight reel which was the best way to keep the wedding bliss vibes flowing! When we received the final video, tears of happiness were shed while rewatching our perfect day and it was amazing getting to see some moments that we even missed ourselves from the day but Ryan captured for us forever! Thank You Gray Mustache Studios!

To an extent. It would only be a single handheld camera, but it can get done if that happens.
Unfortunately, we don't have the man power to offer same-day edits.
Only the social media or trailer will be public on our YouTube and social media. Some of our favorite full-length edits will also be available on YouTube. However, at any time you can request to keep it private.
Once you know your wedding date, we recommend reaching out as soon as possible about our availability. We film a limited number of weddings yearly to ensure our couples receive the highest quality service, so our calendar typically fills up months in advance.
It all depends. I can handle almost any wedding as a single shooter. If you would like getting ready footage from two separate locations, I recommend two.
