The Allenmore Golf & Event Center is beautifully located in the heart of Tacoma. The Lodge is an impressive 4,500 square feet that holds up to 200 guests and offers a gorgeous rustic feel with solid wood beams and high ceilings. The beautiful hardwood floors match any décor which allows your style and decorative choices to be the focus. This space has its own private bar, raised stage and secluded patio to enjoy the warm summer weather. In 1939 the Works Progress Administration built a timbered A-frame gymnasium of local stone and timbers - the beautiful structure that would later become the Longbranch Clubhouse. When the school district consolidated to a larger site, the Longbranch Improvement Club purchased the land and buildings. In 1956 rest rooms, upgraded kitchen facilities and a wooden floor were added. The Longbranch Clubhouse has held an astonishing variety of activities in its colorful history. High school basketball, wartime bandage rolling, huckleberry festivals, fund-raisers, basket socials, Sunday schools and funerals - along with the popular dances and theater events that formed the foundation of this community's social life for generations.
