“Summit Events was the perfect choice for our wedding entertainment! Having a fun dance floor and awesome music has been something that I have dreamed about forever. I was nervous to find the right fit and was so relieved to have found Summit Events. From the beginning, we ended up working with the DJ who would perform the night of. Chris Funkhouser (who seriously brought the funk!) was amazing to work with! During our consultations he was able to answer all our questions and concerns. He was able to put his swing on things from his experience to help provide the right vibes we were looking for. We pretty much already knew all the songs that we wanted to play so the program they used was perfect! It was detailed in the timing of the night, how long or short to play songs and any other special requests we wanted to have. On the night of the wedding, Chris was a blast -energetic, observant, and focused on keeping the dance floor alive all night long. He even joined us out there, helping to keep the party going strong! He was able to use his best judgement in placing some of the lighting and monogram details we chose which turned out great! “Overall, we had a good experience with our DJ. He arrived on time, was professional throughout the evening, and kept our guests on the dance floor for most of the night. The music flowed well, and everyone seemed to have a great time. That said, I did spend a lot of time carefully selecting songs that were meaningful to us, and I was a little disappointed that many of those selections weren't played. Some of our requested songs were included, but I had hoped more of our playlist would be incorporated into the evening. The only other issue was that, just before our grand exit, he approached us to mention that he hadn't received enough food. We had paid for a vendor meal for him, so I wasn't sure what had happened, and it didn't feel like the best time to bring it up while we were in the middle of such a special moment. Despite those concerns, he was friendly, punctual, and our guests clearly enjoyed themselves. If having a lively dance floor is your top priority, he does a good job creating a fun atmosphere.”
