“I recently had the pleasure of getting new-to-me services at Alder: my wedding hair (Kristen) and makeup (Anne). Two of my bridesmaids and also my mom (she was with Kayleigh) had their hair and/or makeup here. For my makeup trial, I had no clear idea what I wanted. The trial was fine, but afterwards I realized I didn’t love it and Anne was very gracious about letting me do another trial, and made me feel 0 guilt about it, and as the person who is forever convinced that I’m a burden, I am so, so grateful for that. Second trial went great and I loved the look. Felt very much like myself but better! For hair, I had a particular look in mind, and the trial went amazing and was everything I wanted! My actual wedding day was on a weekday and my party was small, so our hair and makeup were done at Alder (they will go on site if you have a minimum number of people) which was a relief to me because my venue’s getting ready area was not well lit, and Alder’s decor is always on point. We had some hiccups about appointment time (I forgot to factor in the fact that my venue was an hour away from the studio and my bridesmaids scheduled independently) but Kristen, Anne, and the Alder team were accommodating and again, didn’t make me feel like a burden even though I 100% should have scheduled all the appointments at the same time to avoid that problem in the first place. I’m not perfect! They even let us bring in breakfast while getting ready and it was just an all around good time. I felt like a princess, and my bridesmaids and mom looked so gorgeous!.”

I opted to go with the Gold Package and I was so glad I did - while it was a haul out to the suburbs from downtown, I was able to have a trial to test run my wedding "high pony" and learn a little bit more about what I wanted on my additional makeup day. I ended up using my additional service day to do my hair and makeup on the Friday before our wedding, when we were actually getting married in the church and having our rehearsal dinner and welcome party. My hair and makeup was on point the entire day. My Hollywood waves held up and my face kept strong throughout all of the events. On the day of our wedding, their work was outstanding—our hair and makeup looked flawless and held up perfectly through the whole celebration. Everyone on our bridal party felt confident and beautiful, which is exactly what you want when you're getting ready. We were thrilled with every detail of their service and would absolutely recommend them to any couple looking for talented professionals who actually care about making you feel your best. I chose Hairs 2 the Bride originally because their prices didn't make me want to have a heart attack (they felt reasonable and fair), and they were a Veteran-owned business (my now husband is a Vet). I was a little bit anxious because while all the reviews were great, I didn't necessarily see hair or makeup that was exactly what I wanted on their socials. Safe to say trust is key - I trusted in the reviews and they delivered. I was beyond happy with all of my services and the services for my girls, and I couldn't recommend Hairs 2 the Bride more! Attached pictures reflect my Friday Hollywood waves slick back, and my makeup being done on Saturday where the stylist cut my hair on site to make sure my face frames hit exactly where I wanted them to.”

I booked with them somewhat far out from my wedding, but my call with Kate, the owner, as a consultation was a match right off the bat. She got to know me as a human not just a bride, and took great care in my vision for my day. Gina, whom I sincerely apologized to for all of my questions and emails (lol) was SO incredibly kind and patient and made any updates to our contract or services any time I asked! Now, onto the artists: I had my trial with Jeannette, who made me feel so beautiful and comfortable, I knew we were a good match! I felt confident with her as lead artist! On the day of, Jeannette, Myriam, Jenna, Lorena and Rene all exceeded any and all expectations. There were a total of 30 (I think) services being performed and I have never seen such a “well oiled machine” of hair and makeup before. They took time and care for each service but also moved so quickly that they were finished early. We didn’t have to start at 6am with that many people, which honestly, was a huge concern. Everyone felt and looked STUNNING and I truly could not stop staring at myself after my hair and makeup were finished. Haven’t gotten all of our professional photos back, so including what I can! Including a before photo, an after selfie, an iPhone photo at the end of the night & one of my professional photos from afar so you can see how glowy and dewy she made me look!”

“I never had professional makeup done with the exception of 1 time so I don’t know much about makeup, hair or looks. But Gabriel was able to bring my vision to life. I just told her what things I like for example I said Amy whinehouse a lot! And bold, skinny face, shiny cheeks and wings! She made that vision come to life with both hair and makeup. She traveled to me for the trial run and it was a seamless experience! The day of my wedding she showed up early and although we had a issue with our room she was able to work in a tight space full of 20 people in and out with kids running around while smiling the whole time! When we did my makeup I did last minute changes and with no complaint or holdback she did those changes for me. My hair? Beautiful! She also did one of my bridesmaids makeup that I am still in awe over, my maid of honors hair and eye makeup, and my moms hair which I have NEVER seen my mom look the way she did.
