Awarded Best of Zola
Eivan's photo and video services were very affordable and were a major reason why we went with them. I think the photos we received turned out very well and captured many of the amazing moments that we had at the wedding. The service we paid for only included one photographer and one videographer but they were both very attentive and made sure to be where the action was the entire day. Overall, the experience was positive and for a bride who was more focused on living through the experience of her wedding, Eivan's did a good job of handling the stuff you don't really want to think about.

I am a father of two beautiful young kids. I do Weddings/engagements/family because they are fun to me. I don't book myself full because I don't want to lose the magic of capturing someones day, that they spend ages planning. I work with a small trusted team that together has a lot of years experience. I work every shoot to capture the emotion in which you actually felt in the moment. No Ai was used in the creation of this explanation ;)

We had the absolute best experience working with Jeff for our mountain wedding in Banff. From the very beginning, he was incredible to work with — professional, easygoing, and genuinely excited to be part of our day. Our wedding day weather was completely unpredictable (as mountain weather tends to be!), but Jeff just rolled with it. Not once did he seem stressed or thrown off by the constant changes. Instead, he kept a positive, calm attitude the entire time and made the experience fun and relaxed for us. He took us to as many beautiful spots as possible between weather shifts, making sure we still captured the magic of the mountains. Some of our absolute favourite photos actually came from an unexpected moment — when our ceremony had to be postponed because of the storm. Jeff found this beautiful little tucked-away spot where we could sit, have drinks, and wait for the weather to pass. Those photos are so natural, intimate, and full of personality. In hindsight, that “delay” turned into one of the most special parts of the day, and we’re so grateful he had the creativity and flexibility to turn it into something unforgettable. If you’re looking for a photographer who is talented, adaptable, and a genuinely wonderful person to have by your side on your wedding day, we cannot recommend Jeff enough. He went above and beyond for us, and we’ll treasure these photos forever.

Honeylume Photography

What excites me most isn’t just photographing a wedding day, it’s delivering images you’ll come back to again and again. I focus on real connection, genuine emotion, and creating an experience that feels easy and comfortable from start to finish. Sometimes that means quietly observing the day as it unfolds, and other times gently guiding you when you needed. With nearly 20 years behind the camera, my goal is simple: to capture photographs that feel as meaningful years from now as they do the moment you see them. If you’re looking for someone who cares just as much about how your photos feel as how they look, I’d love to connect.

Working with Honeylume Photography was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. Lee’s communication was always positive and timely. The quality of his work and overall value was top-notch - Lee clearly takes pride in his work. He was fully engaged throughout the process, making it a fun and comfortable experience for us. Honeylume went above and beyond to ensure we felt like the center of attention during our engagement shoot. Lee gave it his all to capture all the special moments. It truly felt less like a photographer working and more like us just having fun together. We are thrilled with the gorgeous photos that beautifully document the start of our next chapter.

Randall de Leon Photography
Rating: 5.0 (51 reviews)
  • Classic style
  • Starts at $2,000
  • Serves Compton, CA

Photography has always been a lifelong passion of mine, I picked up my first camera as a gift from my dad when I was 14 years old. Never in a million years would I have thought that my lifelong hobby could eventually become my career. I focused on my future, working my way through college and grad school to achieve my license to practice, but a part of me realized that I wanted to pursue a career that allowed me to go on adventures and meet a lot of new people. So in 2019, I took that risk, changed my hours from full time to part time and put more focus on my photography. I booked my first gig later that year and have never looked back.

Awarded Best of Zola
We’ve been lucky to know and work with Randall for a few years. When we finally decided to make things “official” we knew we wanted someone that does great work, that we trust, and would make us feel comfortable. We wanted our day to feel like a relaxed family event and Randall helped with that and so much more. He suggested possible locations that would meet our dream event and times to maximize the best lighting for the area. Once we settled on the location and date, he maintained excellent communication in preparation to the event to properly flesh out the day’s timetable, day of logistics, and post. On the day of our wedding he expertly directed us and our families, using the natural lighting to capture the perfect shots. We would have been lost without him, especially since no one knew how to assist with bustling my dress. During our dinner reception he seamlessly directed restaurant staff to assist in transitioning between meals/dessert/toast for more amazing shots. After the wedding he kept us updated on next steps for our pictures. Randall is truly a gem and I would recommend him to anyone looking for someone special to capture their day.

Fatima Elreda Photo
Rating: 5.0 (25 reviews)
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $7,500
  • Serves Compton, CA

I'm a digital and film Wedding Photographer in Los Angeles, CA. I'm trilingual and multicultural -- and it's my favorite thing about me. I will travel Southern California for your love story, from San Diego to LA, to Santa Barbara. My style is documentary and photojournalistic with a bit of an editorial and creative charm. I do not bend and sway with the trends of the current day, instead I focus on your unique wedding day to capture timeless imagery. As the moments unfold before me, I will help tell your story. I want you to look back on your images and be able to still feel the emotions within them for decades to come, truly.

Awarded Best of Zola
Fatima not only takes great photos, but she also has the best attitude of pretty much anyone I've ever met. She gets the shot and captures the sweet, normally unseen moments between couples, amongst guests, and even amongst other vendors. During our engagement shoot, we ran into some of my family, and she took the cutest pictures of my niece and nephew on the fly. She took the time to get to know us as a couple, how we interact with each other, and really captured the essence of our relationship in both the engagement and wedding photos. And the photos of our tablescapes--chef's kiss! Truly a great documentary style photographer. She went above and beyond to get the whole day on film, and honestly is just the nicest person. One of my favorite pictures from the day is from when I realized, halfway through family portraits, that I'd forgotten to take the tag off my wedding dress. Fatima grabbed a pair of gardening shears, crawled up my dress, and got the tag, and her assistant snapped a pic for posterity. We're so, so happy Fatima was our photographer, and we look forward to flipping through our wedding album for years to come. :)

10/10 Nick and I had the pleasure of working with Lulan and Sarah on our wedding day. They were exactly on time and prepared. They were so attentive, patient, and responsive to us. Never intrusive or demanding. Their direction felt very easy and natural; it made the unnatural process of taking hundreds of photos feel so seamless and easy. I loved that they took advantage of the space and venue. They have such a fantastic eye for composition and scale - my favorites are the wide shots that capture the cityscape behind. Their photos feel so timeless but fitting for the venue. We could not be happier with the results. I could not recommend Lulan and his team more. They were responsive to all of my questions throughout the planning process. Thank you to Lulan and Sarah for capturing our special day and giving us so many memories to cherish!

Stephen Tang Photo
Rating: 5.0 (15 reviews)
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $4,100
  • Serves Compton, CA

While some photographers emphasize their gear or trendy post-processing, I take pride in subject-photographer interaction - the relation I build with clients, picking up on nuances in pose and expression while we shoot, anticipating the viewers' response - because ultimately, that's how photographs that matter to us are created. I'm a native New Yorker who found myself relocating to Los Angeles and making it my home. Wherever you'd like to have your wedding, it would be my pleasure to be your photographer.

Awarded Best of Zola
To say that I love and trust Stephen's work is an understatement. I live in New York City with some of the most talented photographers in the world available for hire, and my first choice wedding photographer was to fly Stephen Tang to NYC from Los Angeles. I wouldn’t trust or want anyone else for the job of capturing our wedding. We have worked with Stephen before, and I just love his style of work. I also fell in love with his studio work after seeing another couple's engagement photos and wanted similar pictures for our own. Stephen knocked it out of the park. Stephen exceeded our expectations with the wedding photos. We have everything we requested and much more than we realized we needed. It was so fun to relive our wedding through the pictures. The only potential downside of my wedding pictures was I realized that I forgot to take a picture with my grandfather. I felt pretty terrible about it. I received my pictures from Stephen and cried because there was a beautiful candid of my grandfather and I. It was so much better than a posed photo. It captured the essence of who we are. You get what you pay for with weddings. Your pictures are your memories. They live on for generations. It was important to us to have the best photographs, and we knew we could trust Stehen to capture the event beautifully. Stephen went above and beyond our expectations and worth every cent. It won't be 2,000 photos and duplicates of the same shot. He’s going to give you a beautiful, curated story of your wedding. Stephen was also very helpful with looking over my timeline and telling me what was realistic. His experience allowed me to set expectations for what I'd receive, and he did nothing if not exceed them. Wedding days are beautiful. They are intimate, but they are also stressful. I’ve been to weddings where the photographer brings an anxious energy. That’s not Stephen. He’s calm and confident. He also takes charge in a non abrasive way. On my wedding day I needed that. I needed my photographer to be a calming influence and I’m so grateful that I had exactly what I needed. Stephen Tang.

Welcome. I'm D e r e c k. I've been doing photography and videography since 2017. It wasn't until the pandemic of last year that I decided to take a leap of faith and make it a full-time career. I feel like I've always had a burning passion for photography and editing, I love photography because it captures a moment in time. Whether that moment is your wedding day or an annual family portrait, pictures enable us to relive and remember special occasions again + again. Why I specifically dove into Wedding Photography? Simple!! My love for creativity and seeing passionate couples that aren't afraid to show their personalities

Awarded Best of Zola
Dereck is an incredible photographer and provides very personable, professional, and timely services. I was pleasantly surprised he agreed to drive far and meet us in person before I confirmed for him to my photographer at my wedding. When we met, my husband and I felt very at ease with him as he was patient, professional, and kind. The payment process was very smooth and easy and he was clear about what would be included in the package. Dereck spent time to reach out and collaborate with me before the wedding to discuss expectations and timeline, so it calmed my nerves that he was organized during this stressful planning process. On the actual wedding day, Dereck had injured his ankle, but was clearly hustling despite his pain/injury and walking around the spacious venue to get not only get shots of my dress and personal items, but also running back and forth between bride/groom’s rooms to capture the intimate moments before the ceremony. He was committed and willing to explore the entire venue to capture photos in different locations to offer various background in our photos, which we appreciated. My husband and I are camera shy, but Dereck was very skilled in directing us in what kind of poses work best. Throughout dinner, he captured photos of all our friends/family table-by-table before taking his own meal break. Dereck provided the final photo and video product in a very timely manner and was much quicker than what I had heard from my other friends’ experiences (they said they had waited 6 months for any photos), but I only waited 6 weeks, which is completely reasonable. There was an issue with delivering the final USB, but Dereck was so dedicated he was willing to drive, once again, very far distances to drop it off at our home. After reviewing the final photos and videos, we are more than satisfied with the final product. He delivered exactly what I had asked for regarding a more dramatic effect in the teaser videos and audio vs. solely music over the highlight video. My husband and I had a super fun time laughing on our couch going through all the photos, watching all the clips, reliving the best night of our lives, and being able to watch our friends enjoy our wedding. Dereck provided numerous very well-edited photos that either fixed the lighting or captured different focuses and provided so many videos, which we truly enjoyed. I would highly recommend Dereck’s services!

Gabbie Burseth grew up documenting everything and saving mementos in empty Christmas boxes. After studying at the Grady School of Journalism at the University of Georgia, she discovered an affinity for weddings and their accompanying treasures. Her philosophy as a wedding photographer is to observe with as little interference as possible — no faking it, no do-overs, no “for the camera”. Her biggest desire is for couples to be present at their wedding, not stuck in a photoshoot. Her work is punctuated by rich and vibrant color, the timeless quality of analog film, and a sense of humor found in fleeting moments.

The professionalism, raw talent, and sweet demeanor are only a few of the exquisite gifts Gabbie offers. If you are looking for a photographer who is the complete package, look no further. When selecting wedding vendors, every blog post will tell you that choosing your photographer is one of the most important (if not the most important). However, little information is provided after that tidbit, which can be daunting for an excited (albeit overwhelmed) bride who wants every detail of their wedding to be perfect. Sean, my now husband, and I had selected our venue, The 1909 in Topanga Canyon, CA., and our coordinator, Allison, with West Events LA, provided us with a list of her preferred vendors -- insert us coming across Gabbie. I remember going to her website, scrolling through her work, and being enamored with how each photo captured a different emotion and feeling. We both immediately knew that from looking at her work alone, we wanted our photos to look and feel the same. After sending an inquiry and coordinating a call, Gabbie & I spoke on the phone for close to an hour about what we had in mind for our wedding, and I remember it all clicking when Gabbie described her work as "documentary" style. Sean and I knew we didn't want a videographer for our wedding, so Gabbie's techniques and overall vision aligned perfectly with what Sean and I wanted. We also opted to do a round of engagement photos with Gabbie 5 months before our wedding, where she came into our home to take photos of us in our most comfortable and natural state (chasing our dogs around the yard) and then for a shoot at a local winery that we love to go to. Not only did we have such a fun and great experience, but we also felt so comfortable and relaxed with Gabbie. We almost forgot we were there to have our photos taken! We received the gallery back shortly after and were so thrilled. Fast-forward to our wedding, we had hired Gabbie a second shooter for 8 hours. They met us at the venue for the final getting-ready details around 1 pm and stayed through to a good portion of the dance floor, around 9 pm. They arrived promptly and were even extra helpful with Sean when getting his suit on! While those details may seem minor to some, it was that unique care and attention from both Gabbie and her second shooter that made Sean & I, and all of our guests, feel so beautiful and confident to be themselves. When Sean and I got our gallery back, we spent a solid three hours scrolling through every captured moment, laughing, crying, and squealing with excitement. I am not exaggerating when I say that seeing the captured images and how Gabbie so beautifully arranged them in the album was purely magic. Any time we go through the album, we genuinely feel transported back to that day, and there is no doubt in my mind it is because of Gabbie's pure mastery of her craft. As part of her thorough questionnaire, one of the questions was what percentage of digital-to-film prints we would like, and for ours, we chose 50:50. I'm so glad we opted for film, and I almost wish we had had more because these photos are indeed what dreams are made of. The icing on the cake, Gabbie also wrote us an adorable card after the wedding, which included 3 of the film prints. Sean & I will forever be grateful to Gabbie for her work and friendship. We love you!!

Jess Onesto is an absolute dream to work with! If you are looking for a wedding photographer who will make you feel completely comfortable and capture the most beautiful, authentic moments, look no further. My husband and I have always felt awkward when we have to pose for professional photos. Jess completely changed that experience for us. She seriously made me feel like I was a model throughout my entire wedding weekend. She has this innate ability to put everyone at ease and guide you so naturally that you forget you are even being photographed. Her direction feels effortless, and somehow she captures these genuine, intimate moments. We are absolutely obsessed with all of the photos we have seen thus far (I have included some here)! Every single shot is stunning, and our entire family has been raving about them non-stop. Throughout the wedding weekend, we received so many compliments from our guests about how much they loved Jess and her warm presence. She truly became part of our celebration. Honestly, I am already thinking of excuses to hire Jess again for family photos because working with her was such a wonderful experience. I truly cannot recommend her more highly!

We discovered Gui on Zola and reached out because of his experience with photographing marriages for various cultures and from various backgrounds. Gui's photographs also caught our eye as there were great candid shots to capture the moment and sweet posed ones. When we met with Gui over zoom to get to know each other, he was kind, responsive, and knowledgable. Gui helped put us at ease, and it was a fairly quick decision to go with him after we met. We did an engagement photo session with Gui. He was very flexible when the park we wanted to do the session at was closed. We were able to pivot, and Gui took incredible photos in the new location. Gui also did not pressure us always asking if we were okay with the poses, but adjusting us for better shots. We were so happy with the engagement photos. On the day of the wedding, Gui was prompt and punctual. We took a few shots before the ceremony. During the ceremony, Gui captured all the key moments, but we also received compliments from our guests that he did not distract or take away from teh ceremony. Gui did great with the family photos and was very gracious in the many photos with friends during the reception. We cannot recommend Gui enough. His demeanor helped to relieve any stress around the photos both during the engagement session and the wedding. Gui's experience with many different couples has helped him develop cultural sensitivity which he uses to capture and highlight the unique moments of their ceremony. Thank you so much, Gui, for all your help during the wedding.

Porterhouse Los Angeles

My name is Zyaire Porter and I am the photographer of Porterhouse LA Weddings. Born & raised in Los Angeles, I have been capturing weddings professionally since 2013. I answer every email myself (no bots or assistants).

Awarded Best of Zola
Porterhouse LA did a fantastic job photographing our wedding. Zyaire was artistic, punctual, and precise. We received our photos very quickly after the wedding, and are absolutely in love with them. We’ll treasure these for the rest of our lives, and have had so much joy from sharing them with others. The comments we’ve received have all been about how beautiful the wedding looked, how good everyone looked, and how gorgeous the photos were overall, which is exactly what we were hoping for. Zyaire met with us over Zoom twice before the actual wedding, and took every one of our concerns and questions seriously. He had a good answer to everything, and it convinced us that we were dealing with a consummate professional. We also asked him to shoot our welcome party for guests, and he was able to oblige with that, as well. We first met him in person for the welcome party, and he was already there when we arrived, getting background shots of the venue. This was something we hadn’t even considered, but it was really valuable - having shots of the venue, and the venue for our wedding, helped put the other photos in context for people who weren’t able to attend, and gave us mementos of the locations themselves.
