“We got married at Painted Lakes in Bryson, Texas on September 19, 2026, and I honestly don’t think we could have chosen a more perfect place to begin our marriage. From the moment we started planning our wedding, Susan, Wade, and their entire staff were absolutely incredible. They didn’t just provide us with a beautiful venue — they truly cared about us and about making our wedding day everything we had dreamed it would be. They went above and beyond in ways we will never forget, and we felt so loved and taken care of throughout the entire process. Painted Lakes is absolutely beautiful, but what makes it even more special is the people behind it. Our wedding day was filled with so many emotions, memories, and little moments that we will carry with us forever, and having such an amazing team helping make it all come together meant more to us than we can put into words. When we look back on September 19th, we will always remember how perfect our day felt — and Painted Lakes was such a huge part of that. We got to celebrate with the people we love in a place that felt absolutely magical, and we couldn’t have asked for anything more. Susan, Wade, and everyone at Painted Lakes — thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping make one of the most important days of our lives so incredibly special. We will forever be grateful that we got to say “I do” at Painted Lakes. If you’re looking for a wedding venue, look no further. You’re not just booking a beautiful place — you’re getting a team of people who genuinely care about making your day unforgettable. We cannot recommend Painted Lakes enough!”

“We got married a little over a week ago at the Wildwood Inn, and I cannot say enough about how obsessed I am with the venue and about how wonderful everyone was throughout the entire process. The Wildwood Inn was the first venue I looked at when planning our wedding, and it was the last because, frankly, I couldn’t imagine a more perfect place to celebrate. The ability to stay in the 14 guest rooms was a highlight for us, as most of our guests were from out of town, and on top of being a nice gesture to some of those guests, it also allowed us the opportunity to visit with them further after the wedding without having to move to a bar for an after-party. The ceremony space is perfect for anyone having a smaller, more intimate wedding (we had just under 60 guests), and the pergola and string lights lent it an ethereal feel for our evening ceremony. We haven’t gotten our pictures yet, but since we forgot to make an unplugged ceremony announcement (oops!), we have some photos from guests that tell me our professional pictures are going to be beautiful on this backdrop. The reception took place in the dining area, and we opted to keep the bar out on the patio, which allowed us enough space to keep the dance floor inside (rather than moving it to the patio, which was the alternative option for larger parties). With six round tables (seating 10 each) , the dance floor was big enough to fit everyone who wanted to boogie but not so big that you felt like you were dancing in the open! Our coordinator, Madison, kept everyone to task, helped to fix my bustle when I kept tripping, and made sure we didn’t miss out on any of the food (she pre-packed some desserts and left them in our room). She also made sure a guest could get a last-minute lactose-free meal, made sure we got our custom drink glasses on our table, and helped with numerous other requests! The planning process was a breeze (especially compared to what many other brides seem to experience)! Kaleigh, our planner, was great to work with and answered all of my spur-of-the-moment questions promptly. My initial concern in picking an all-inclusive venue was that I had less control over each individual element. And it’s true that I probably spoke for 45 minutes cumulatively with the floral team, 20 minutes with the photographer, 10 minutes with the DJ, and only sent over info pictures for the cake. Even with Kaleigh, I probably had a total of three hours of face-to-face time. HOWEVER, each of those meetings was purpose-driven and structured to get the answers they needed without wasting your time, and I was so incredibly excited to see how wonderfully my vision came together on the day of…the florals, food, decor, music, EVERYTHING was perfect. If I have one critique, it’s that we weren’t able to get into the venue until 3:00pm for our 5:00 ceremony and so getting ready & doing our first look felt a little rushed. That said, if you’re looking, like I was, for a low-stress wedding and a beautiful place to have it, Wildwood Inn is your place!!”

About wedding venues in Chico, TX

Why Is Texas an Exceptional Wedding Destination?

Texas offers an incredible variety of wedding settings across its diverse landscapes. You'll find everything from romantic Hill Country vineyards to stunning Gulf Coast waterfronts that provide perfect backdrops for your special day. The state is home to countless venues that showcase authentic Texas character while still matching your personal style. Think rustic barns where longhorn cattle graze nearby or sophisticated urban venues with dramatic city skyline views that'll impress your guests. Many Texas venues incorporate unique regional touches you won't find elsewhere; live country music that gets everyone dancing, mouthwatering BBQ stations and custom boot favors that celebrate local heritage. Whether you're planning an intimate gathering or a grand celebration, you'll find Texas venues ready to accommodate your vision.

What's the Average Cost of Wedding Venues in Texas?

Wedding venues in Texas typically cost between $3,000 and $30,000+ depending on what you're looking for. The national average runs about $6,500-$12,000 which represents roughly 25% of your total wedding budget. Your overall wedding costs will depend largely on how many people you're inviting to share your special day:

Guest CountAverage Total Wedding Budget
50 guests$19,410
100 guests$32,365
150 guests$44,545
200 guests$55,433
250 guests$66,322
300 guests$77,211
In Texas specifically, venues typically account for about 16% of your total wedding budget with couples spending an average of $6,932. This gives you plenty of room in your budget to customize other elements of your celebration that matter most to you and your partner.

Which Wedding Venue Types Are Most Popular in Texas?

Texas venues offer distinctly regional experiences that capture the state's diverse character. Hill Country locations around Fredericksburg give you gorgeous vineyard settings with beautiful limestone architecture and sunset views that will take your breath away. If you're considering Houston, you'll find venues that thoughtfully incorporate bayou landscapes alongside sophisticated cosmopolitan amenities. Dallas spaces tend to showcase luxury urban environments with elegant design elements that create a refined atmosphere. Fort Worth venues perfectly blend Western heritage with modern conveniences for a uniquely Texan experience. November emerges as the most popular month for venue inquiries across the state, so you might want to plan accordingly if you're interested in this popular time frame.

How Far in Advance Should You Book Your Texas Venue?

Texas couples typically book their wedding venues about 16 months (or 457 days) before their wedding date. November stands out as the most popular month for venue inquiries so planning early is essential if you're considering this timeframe. This advanced booking timeline helps you secure your preferred date since popular venues often fill their calendars far in advance especially for prime weekend dates. Booking early also allows you to lock in current pricing before annual increases that many venues implement. Plus you'll have more time to work with venue coordinators to customize floor plans and discuss details that will make your celebration uniquely yours.

Where Can You Find Accessible Wedding Venues in Texas?

Madera Estates in Conroe stands out for its commitment to accessibility with fully paved event spaces that accommodate wheelchair navigation throughout the property. You can host up to 330 guests here and the venue is frequently praised for physically walking through accessibility needs during the planning process. You'll also find excellent accessible options at Jennings Trace near Houston which offers single-level celebration spaces. Hummingbird Hill Weddings in Chappell Hill prioritizes inclusive design throughout their venue and The Preserve at Canyon Lake features wheelchair-friendly pathways connecting all major celebration areas. These venues ensure all your guests can fully participate in your special day regardless of mobility considerations.

Which Texas Wedding Venues Offer Outstanding Culinary Experiences?

The Bell Tower on 34th in Houston delivers exceptional dining experiences under Executive Chef Sergio Arellano. His international culinary team creates gourmet meals on-site that will impress even your most food-savvy guests. Food-focused couples should also consider Steiner Ranch Steakhouse in Austin where you'll enjoy spectacular views alongside premium cuts of Texas beef. Cisco's Salsa Company near Tomball has built a reputation for their award-winning Mexican cuisine that adds authentic flavors to your celebration. Avenida Brazil Churrascaria Steakhouse in the Houston area offers a unique Brazilian steakhouse experience with tableside carving and a festival atmosphere your guests will remember long after the wedding day.

How Can Texas Venues Support Remote Wedding Participation?

For couples wanting to include loved ones who can't attend in person, several Texas venues now offer more than just basic streaming services. Venues like Agave Estates Mara Villa and The Middleton Venue in Katy specialize in creating interactive remote experiences that make distant guests feel truly present. You can work with these venues to design custom interactive elements that go beyond passive viewing. Think virtual guest books where remote attendees can leave video messages remote toasts synchronized with in-person celebrations and even coordinated dance moments. These thoughtful touches ensure everyone feels included in your celebration regardless of where they're located.

What Wedding Expenses Should You Budget for in Texas?

Beyond your venue there are several other key expenses to consider when planning a Texas wedding. For a typical 150-guest celebration your budget will likely break down this way: - Florists: $6,755 (15%) - Venue: $6,932 (16%) - Catering: $5,546 (12%) - Bar services: $4,437 (10%) - Photographers: $3,966 (9%) - Videographers: $3,555 (8%) - Planners: $3,768 (8%) - Bands & DJs: $1,299 (3%) - Cakes & desserts: $853 (2%) - Hair & makeup: $495 (1%)
