Great Venue For A Type-A Bride
Got married at the Wildwood in this past May (2025). To save on stress we decided to go fully through The Walters company - photographer, florist, bar, catering, and cake. Overall, the venue grounds are gorgeous and well kept. The included wedding planner/coordinator was super beneficial as I had no idea what I did and did not want going into this process. However, there's a couple of things I think other brides should know before going full Walters. - There will be one vendor that goes to your spam inbox. Even if all the other ones landed in your inbox there's going to be one in spam. - You need to show up to the floral planning meeting with *exactly* what you want. Coming with a general vibe, color palette and a desire to keep things cheap will lead to at least 2 weeks of back and forth. - I wasn't able to make it to any tasting, but I was more than happy how things turned out. Even got compliments from some of the guests on both the buffet dinner and the cake. You'll probably be safe with what ever dinner option sounds the best to you! - Unless you have a small bridal party there is probably not time to get your hair and makeup done at the venue. I got my hair and make up done at a separate location and still felt like I had no time. But, we also spent a lot of time trying to find the photographer. I was supposed to get my bridals and bridal party photos done before the ceremony, but that just didn't happen. - The Bridal Suite is DARK and mildly cramped if you have three bridesmaids and your mom all trying to get changed in the same room. - You'll probably not see your bouquet until it gets placed in your hands right before you walk down the aisle. I was fine with this as I had no strong emotions about the florals. - We had 88 people attend the wedding (bride & groom included). This is only 8 people over their recommended "sweet spot." Even with this amount the reception area felt pretty cramped. I would not like to see how this space is with their max capacity (100 people). - I recommend either wearing a watch to your wedding and/or printing out your wedding day timeline because I had no idea what was supposed to happen next or what time it even was. This led to a lot of weird pauses and a shortened dancing time. I had to ask my maid of honor to go find the coordinator to figure out what's next several times. - Rain and this venue makes things...complicated. The bar was moved inside without any announcement. Which meant it completely disappeared for 10-15 minutes at the tail end of cocktail hour. We weren't told where we were supposed to do our first dance (which started without much warning). We ended up doing doing our first dance, the father daughter dance, and the mother son dance between the head table and the rest of the guest tables, which was odd. There was no communication to me on where we were going to do the rest of the dancing since it rained. - If you go with a Walters photographer you *will not* get sneak peaks until approx. 6 wks after your wedding. Which isn't much of a sneak peak since your full gallery is 12 to 14 weeks after your wedding. Just like the title says I think this is a great venue for a Type-A bride or a bride w/ a budget for an outside day of coordinator. I did not plan enough, or really have grasp on what should be happening when day of. Which led to unnecessary downtime and just some general confusion. Overall a gorgeous venue with tasty food and drink! Just plan a little better than I did lol.

Overall my experience working with Kaleigh at the WWI was great! She took a lot of the stress out of coordinating a wedding. We booked outside florals, photographers, suits, my dress, jewelry, entertainment, desserts and an officiant. They covered the rest. I didn’t feel it necessary to hire an outside planner to work with the vendors, I just did it myself. The only issues we faced were with the hotel itself, and as it turns out Kaleigh wasn’t even aware of what happened! I would book with them again if I had to do it all over. We had about 90 guests show up and it was pretty tight inside. I’d say this venue would seat 80 people comfortably.
Best Venue & Team Ever!!!
The Wildwood Inn in Denton was an absolute dream venue for our wedding. From the moment we first reached out, the team there was consistently caring, supportive, and communicative - Kaleigh, our wedding coordinator, was an absolute joy to work with and ensured that everything went as smoothly and seamlessly as we had dreamed. The venue itself was breathtaking, with a beautiful vintage-meets-modern aesthetic that created the perfect twilight wedding atmosphere. The team truly brought our vision to life, and we are so grateful for the incredible experience they provided. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful and memorable wedding day!

The venue itself was beautiful, spacious, and extremely convenient for our guests with the hotel rooms onsite.
