I have seen JAMS at multiple weddings prior to the most important, and that is why they were and are my number one selection for all things audio, lighting, "extras" and planning for weddings and events. Every. Single. Thing. they did beat all of my expectations. No one I have recommended them to has ever been disappointed AT ALL! This is the kind of vendor you go out of the way to thank the person who recommended them. I thought I had a picture of what I wanted down to even the tiniest of details. They did those details with professionalism, timeliness and clarity, and then went beyond. They clearly understand the ins and outs of how to navigate the most important day in someone's life and their business at the same time. They truly cared about my husband and I, and our bridal party, and our family. We requested songs the day of, did spontaneous karaoke, DJ Jake followed our song recommendation and "please no" list, he has bubbles and an incredibly impressive DJ set up. His DJ set up was so well done, it actually added an extra touch to our reception area and took it to a new level. Everyone was on the dance floor the entire time because he knew how to read the room and what to play. They did a great job capturing the most important moments and highlighting them in the videography. Everything was great. We also didn't have a wedding planner at first and they do planning as well, which ended up being CRUCIAL! My mom and aunt and BFF actually enjoyed the wedding instead of running it. I owe SO MUCH to this company for making the best day of my life flawless and unforgettable!

K.M. Goodson Photography was an absolute pleasure to work with on our wedding day. From the very beginning, their communication style was relatable, relaxing, and fun - it felt like we were working with a close friend rather than a vendor. On the day of, the photographer not only captured every beautiful detail with incredible skill, but also went above and beyond to ensure I was taken care of. They checked in with me throughout the day to make sure I was happy, fed, and on schedule. It was like having a best friend there to make sure my wedding day went exactly as planned. I couldn't have asked for a better experience with any photographer. K.M. Goodson Photography truly made our special day unforgettable.

Photog Lexie

5.0

  • Photographer
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $750
  • Serves Charleston, MO

Lexie Photog Story-driven wedding photography with an editorial twist. Lexie Photog is all about capturing real moments—with a touch of artistry. Blending a documentary approach with creative prompts and modern posing, Lexie tells wedding day stories exactly as they unfold—authentic, emotional, and beautifully composed. Based in Missouri and always ready to travel, I know when to step back and let the moment breathe, and when to guide you with prompts that bring out natural connection (and killer portraits). The result? Timeless, cinematic images that feel like you. No awkward poses. No stiff smiles.

Working with Lexie was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. From our very first conversation, she brought a sense of calm, professionalism, and genuine care that made us feel completely at ease. On the wedding day, she moved with such grace, present, but never intrusive. It felt like she was everywhere and nowhere all at once, quietly documenting every meaningful moment. Her eye for detail is extraordinary. She captured the big, beautiful scenes. our ceremony under the trees, our first dance in golden light, but also the quiet, intimate ones we might have missed: a hand squeeze, a teary glance, a laugh caught mid-air. Every photo tells a part of our story, and looking through them feels like reliving the day all over again. Lexie has a rare talent. Not just for photography, but for people. Her ability to make us feel seen, celebrated, and completely ourselves was truly special. We’ll cherish these photos forever, and we’re endlessly grateful for her artistry and heart.

Flower Moxie – Do-It-Yourself Wedding Flowers

4.9

  • Florist
  • Starts at $350
  • Serves Charleston, MO

In 2013, 8-year wedding veteran Amy McCord Jones realizes she wouldn't be able to afford to hire her own floral services if she was a bride. Then, Amy discovers that there is basically zero help available for DIY brides. No flower recipes. No instructions. No access to florist-grade blooms. Rude. So she launches Flower Moxie! Flower Moxie remains a humble, tucked-away small business out of Oklahoma City. We don’t zoom around on scooters in some fancy high-rise. We stock an average kitchen with canned wine and Aldi chips and listen to true crime podcasts while photographing curvy ranunculus. Join us. There’s cake, hugs, and acceptance here.

Awarded Best of Zola
Because of all the florals already there due to the nature of the venue, and all the florals and plants they filled in, I didn’t feel the need to have a ton of florals, so I did them myself! I found Flower Moxie here on Zola and they were so great! If you are thinking about DIY’ing your florals, I would definitely recommend looking into Flower Moxie! They have some set packages you can chose from, but I upgraded to the highest personalized package and it was so worth it. I got to have a phone call with the florist and they put together a custom package, and they definitely killed it, the flowers were exactly what I had in mind. There were so many resources and they went through everything so well I felt so prepared and we had almost no issues putting all the florals together. All of our florals still looked fresh and beautiful on our wedding day, and some of the florals in our arch arrangements lasted WEEKS. A word of caution though: it is definitely a lot of work, so just ensure that you have enough time in town before your wedding (i.e. you can’t fly in the day before your ceremony, if you are traveling to that location) and enough people to help you (for putting together, transporting and anything day of). I actually really enjoyed getting to do my florals myself, and would highly recommend if you are creative and DIYing your wedding!

My husband and I used Direct Entertainment for our DJ and videographer for our wedding and we could not be more pleased!! The team was professional, great at communication, very kind and professional, and they helped make our day absolutely perfect! Jeff, our DJ kept the dance floor alive ALL NIGHT!! When the music had to stop at the end of the night, the dance floor was still completely full and no one wanted it to end. He did a great job announcing the events of the night, made sure that our ceremony music was perfect, and he stuck to our wedding playlist with the exception for a couple guest requests (which we were happy to allow). We were so happy and thankful to have Jeff there! Sie, our videographer also did a wonderful job! We have not yet received our video as our wedding was less than 2 weeks ago, but I already know it is going to be amazing. He was so great with communication, was prompt with his timing, and he even set up a second camera for guests to break away and give us well wishes for our marriage, which I'm so excited to watch back. He was very professional and wonderful to work with. We decided to add videography at the last minute because we thought we might regret not having it, and I am SO happy we asked Jim at Direct Entertainment if they had someone available for our day just a month before, and they did!! Jim, the coordinator at Direct Entertainment frequently checked in with us, asked us questions about ourselves, and genuinely made us feel like he cared about us and our special day. He was great to work with leading up to being assigned our designated DJ and videographer, and even after, he checked in to make sure we were happy and that all of the planning was going well. Overall, we would 1000% recommend Direct Entertainment for any wedding entertainment needs! I know they also offer several other services that we did not utilize, and I'm sure they are wonderful as well! Photos courtesy of Lang at Wandering Wolf Photography.

The Faux Bouquets

5.0

  • Florist
  • Starts at $175
  • Serves Charleston, MO

Believe it or not, we often have people ask if our pictures throughout our website are showing a mix of fresh and faux and…no they aren’t! Although fresh florals are pretty, we are totally in love with poser-blooms all the way here and that’s what we design 100% of our orders with.

Awarded Best of Zola
We were so delighted to use The Faux Bouquets for our wedding. We ended up having a family emergency that forced us to downsize the size and budget of the wedding just a few months before the wedding, and the team at TFB were so accommodating and helped us to find a solution that still allowed us to use their flowers in our (modified) ceremony. We were a bit concerned about the flowers getting smushed in shipping, but they arrived looking absolutely STUNNING and with plenty of time before the big day. Even my gardener of a grandma couldn't tell they weren't real flowers! We were so happy with how everything looked on the day, and in pictures they look just as lovely. Can't recommend The Faux Bouquets enough! There's no visual difference compared to real bouquets and they are much more affordable. The last big selling point that I would advise future brides, and I did not really consider this, is that because the flowers don't wilt, we could set the decor out the night before--which is a LIFESAVER to not have to worry about on the special day! Anything that will save you time and stress on the day of the wedding is a big win!

I’m Edgar, an HTX-raised native with Salvadorian roots. I am the owner, creative director, and lead photographer at Anchor Studios Photography. I'm a wedding and elopement photographer based out of Pittsburgh, PA! However, the stories I capture don't start and end there. I love to travel to capture stories all around the world.

Anchor Studios Photography was a pleasure to work with for our engagement photos! From the very first interaction, Edgar was helpful, relaxing, and fun to be around. They put my fiance and I right at ease, as we had never had professional photos taken before. The final photos turned out beautifully, with great tones, quality, and creative compositions that really captured the joy and love we have for each other. We’ve received so many compliments on our photos, I’m so excited to see how our engagement photos will be!

Dan Moore from DJ Shark Attack was absolutely incredible. From the moment we met him, he exceeded all of our expectations. Not only was he an amazing DJ who kept everyone on the dance floor all night, but he was also one of the most genuine and thoughtful people we’ve ever met. We had a special request for a unique entrance into our reception, and Dan completely nailed it. He went above and beyond to make it exactly how we imagined, and it turned out even better than we hoped. On top of that, we asked if he could include last names during the wedding party introductions—something he doesn’t normally do—and he took the time to learn and pronounce every single name correctly. That level of care and attention meant so much to us. He also made a real effort to connect with all of our guests and made sure everyone was well taken care of throughout the night. While my husband and I were off taking sunset photos, Dan got us plates of food and even kept them warm—something we hadn’t thought about, but he did without hesitation. Dan wasn’t just our DJ—he was a huge part of what made our day so special. If you’re looking for someone who truly listens, cares about your day and delivers it on every detail, DJ Shark Attack is the way to go. We couldn’t recommend them more!!!
