We had the most incredible experience hosting our wedding at the Carriage house! It has been taken over by Prime Hospitality catering who did an amazing job from start to finish! Our guests raved over the food, waitstaff, and bartenders! Katie and her team took care of every single aspect of our wedding which allowed my husband and I, our families, and our bridal party to be stress free and enjoy the day! I could go on and on about how amazing our wedding day was! Not a single thing went wrong, Katie and her team decorated the venue beautifully, the service was fantastic, and our guests continue to reach out about how beautiful the wedding venue was. It was better than I could’ve ever expected! I hope that the Carriage House starts to see an increase in weddings at their venue because they are truly amazing at their job! Katie coordinated and helped me with planning the wedding out from day 1. She worked relentlessly behind the scenes to ensure we had a great day. The food was the best wedding meal I have ever had and I’m not just saying that because I had my wedding here. The restaurant associated with the caterers “Brandywine Prime” makes amazing food. I will admit when initially wedding planning I was unsure of the carriage house due to the lack of online presence and photos of recent weddings. It is truly a hidden gem and definitely worth considering for your wedding day!!

Last summer, Lake House Inn was the perfect place for my husband and me to have our wedding dream. Just like in a love story, the wedding at the lake looked amazing, and being under the stars for the reception was something special. The main star here, however, is Craig is the Marina Inn Keeper. During each moment, from the very beginning to the end, he was there, responding to people’s inquiries, easing anxiety, and seeing that everything was perfect. There is nothing James overlooks, and his friendly personality made us (as well as our guests) feel at home. If you don’t want any wedding-related stress and would like a beautiful day, this is the right place.

We chose Philmont for our 11/03/2023 wedding, and we couldn't be happier with the venue and the staff (special shout out to Ariel and Jimmy). We received so many compliments on how delicious the food was, which thrilled me and my husband to hear. Ariel was who I coordinated with for months, and she deserves all the good praise in the world. She was always helpful and responsive, which is key for a bride-to-be who is juggling the plethora of responsibilities and vendors prior to the big day. She was absolutely a key member of the team to ensure everything with smoothly, and had endless patience for my many questions. I would recommend her to anyone. With the recent construction going on outside the venue, my husband and I were filled with trepidation as that was something that started up a few months before our wedding day, but the staff truly went above and beyond to make sure that was nothing but a hiccup on the day. We received so much praise for the venue and the outdoor ceremony space, and our guests stated that everything was beautiful. Jimmy was incredible during our Tasting, and helped us pick the perfect menu for our guests. We chose the plated option (Filet, Tuscan Chicken, and Honey-Soy Salmon), and their Honey-Soy Salmon was a massive hit with myself and the guests who ordered it. We also heard endless compliments for the appetizers and stations serviced during cocktail hour. Jimmy was a huge help to us when it came to picking the perfect menu, and was also an excellent Day-Of coordinator. He made sure everything was running smoothly on the wedding day, and helped our rather large party line up and walk for the ceremony. The staff here are truly what made this experience incredible, and it's thanks to them that we had our perfect day.

It was a uniquely wonderful venue for us as a couple who didn't want a "traditional" wedding venue, and as foodies for whom it was really important to be able to bring in our own caterers! My fiancé and I were looking for a rustic wedding venue, not a ballroom, preferably a venue with space to be outside (weather permitting). We visited a few options in the Philly area and fell in love with the John James Audubon Center! The space offers SO many options for an outdoor or indoor ceremony. They host receptions in the pavilion which is open with huge windows and firepits outside! The site is beautiful, and everyone we’ve worked with has been immensely helpful! After officially booking for our October 2024 wedding, we planned to visit with our parents. What was originally intended to be a quick stroll around the grounds turned into an impromptu tour with the venue manage. She answered all of our parents' questions and even brought out photo books of previous weddings for us to flip through together. With the wedding right around the corner now, we could not be more thrilled with our decision and can't wait to be there next month to celebrate our big day!

They were able to accommodate our bicultural family with a bilingual DJ and menu items that were not listed on their menu, and everything at our reception was laid out with care and attention to detail. Our wedding party also stayed at the manor house for our entire wedding weekend, which was so much fun and so perfect!! We would absolutely recommend La Luna to anyone looking for an amazing place to host their special event, that is also reasonably priced and includes so much in their packages. I am so excited to say that I will be getting married at Anthony Wayne House this summer 2022. So far, the experience working with this venue has been absolutely wonderful! The event coordinators have been so communicative, clear, and full of great creative ideas for us! They are also kind enough to give recommendations for photographers, DJs, etc. so make vendor selection easier. We are counting down the days until our wedding and are so excited to celebrate at this gorgeous historical venue!

With towering columns, radiant skylights, and a grand staircase framing an iconic art deco waterfall, stepping into the historic Curtis Atrium is like entering an era when elegance was natural and luxury was standard. Today the 100-year-old structure hosts downtown Philadelphia’s most timeless weddings, from the airy 12-story chamber where couples recite their vows to the well-appointed wedding suite tucked away in the spacious, delicately detailed cocktail hour mezzanine. Arch Street Meeting House

5.0

Philadelphia, PA
  • Up to 300 guests
  • Select services
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $2,000

Arch Street Meeting House is a historic wedding venue located in Old City Philadelphia. The land on which Arch Street Meeting House stands was officially deeded to the Quakers in 1701 and used as a burial ground until 1872. The building was constructed in stages from 1803-1811 when need arose of a larger Meeting House in Philadelphia. The site is still an active place of worship in addition to being used as an educational museum space, and was designated a National Historic Landmark in 2011. It is frequently rented for conferences, weddings, dinners, and graduations. The building sits on just shy of 2 acres, and our grounds include both grassy & brick spaces and lots of mature trees. The entire site exudes an overall historic charm.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Caters to out-of-town guests
  • Has a dance floor to dance the night away
  • Both indoor and outdoor options

Venue considerations

  • Does not provide event staff
  • Limited cleanup and setup services
  • Lighting and sound are not included
Arch Street Meeting House proved to be the ideal spot for our wedding. Jenn was an absolute pleasure to work with and made sure she understood exactly what we were looking for and how her team could help bring it to fruition. They allowed us to close the grounds to the public so that our guests could mingle and sip champagne outside in the beautiful weather. All of the guests commented on how tangibly historical the venue was and how they loved the simplicity and timelessness of the ceremony space. (Which looks absolutely stunning in the few preview photos we've gotten back.) Because it was so much more affordable, we also decided to hold our rehearsal dinner there and hired a taco truck to act as the caterers. All in all, I can't recommend ASMH or Jenn and the team more highly!!

I married my husband, Brandon, in late October this past year and we celebrated our Reception at the Wilbur Mansion with Rebecca Ciraco and Christy Jackson as our two right-hand people. Rebecca, our main contact at the Wilbur Mansion, was incredibly kind, patient, and fun to collaborate with. From the moment we met to sign the contract to the final menu selections weeks before the big day, Brandon and I loved working alongside her. Christy managed our event: she handled our signature drink, the linen colors, the layout, and any other little details at the venue. On the wedding day, Christy was the most consistent part of our reception. She made sure we were in the right places at the right times, she bustled my dress with safety pins (when we couldn’t find the little loops and buttons), she took care of talking to our DJ and communicating with staff for us, and she even made sure there was a plate of hors d’oeuvres at our sweetheart table so that we could eat after our photography session! She checked in on us throughout the event and she made the whole evening a BREEZE. Brandon and I are so incredibly thankful for Rebecca and Christy’s attention and help through our planning process and the event itself-- we truly felt so taken care of and carefree. The Wilbur Mansion is a STUNNING venue, but what truly makes it special is its team. Additionally, the Wilbur has so many beautiful places for photo ops, an excellent staff, and the food was OUTRAGEOUSLY DELICIOUS. Guests came up to me complimenting the hors d'oeuvres and meals all night at the Reception. Even now, months later, I still have friends recounting our wedding day and how wonderful the food was! Not only that, but hosting an event at the Wilbur Mansion was also a fair price. I can confidently recommend the Wilbur Mansion to anyone looking for an elegant backdrop for their event!

The Drexelbrook did an excellent job hosting our baby shower. Their buffet and dessert bar options were delicious and plentiful. They took good care of our guests who needed vegan, gluten-free options or a kid's meal. One of the highlights of our celebration was a "make your own bouquet" bar for guests. It was an option that Drexelbrook suggested, based on our shower theme. They worked with us to ensure that we could decorate and arrange the space to meet the needs of our event. There is plenty of free parking on site.

We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding experience than the one we had at the Historic Hotel Bethlehem. From the moment we started planning, the communication was exceptional. The staff was incredibly responsive, answering every question we had and ensuring we were fully prepared for the big day. Emilie, our wedding coordinator, was an absolute dream to work with. She was organized, calm, and truly went above and beyond to make our wedding day seamless. She made us feel like we were her top priority, and thanks to her, everything ran perfectly without a single hitch. The venue itself is stunning, especially with the winter decorations that created a magical atmosphere. From the rehearsal dinner to the ceremony, reception, and even the send-off brunch, every detail was taken care of. Once we handed over our decorations to the hotel staff, they completely brought our vision to life and transitioned flawlessly between the ceremony and reception spaces. The food was another highlight! Our guests loved the variety of options at the rehearsal dinner, cocktail hour, and reception. The ice cream station during the reception was a huge hit—such a fun and delicious touch that had everyone talking. The accommodations for our guests were top-notch, with many of them praising the comfort and convenience of staying at the hotel. And the private cocktail hour for us, the bride and groom, was such a thoughtful and special touch that we’ll always remember. On the wedding day itself, the maître d’ was outstanding. They made sure we were well taken care of, guiding us through the day with ease and ensuring that we could truly enjoy every moment. Overall, the Historic Hotel Bethlehem provided the perfect setting for our wedding weekend. Every aspect—from the rehearsal to the ceremony to the reception and beyond—was flawless, and we couldn’t be happier with our choice.
