“DJ Motiv was extraordinary. I was so impressed by his professionalism, communication, and willingness to make sure our night was perfect. I was skeptical at first with some reviews mentioning that the DJ’s weren’t playing the songs they chose. I immediately reached out and that was informed that it would not be an issue. ALL of our chosen music was played, with some song requests of guests (with bride’s approval, per DJ motiv - loved that). DJ Motiv checked in with us constantly, even to make sure our food was at our table, if we needed drinks, if the music was going well, and if there was anything he could do. He was going above and beyond to make sure we had what we needed. I even threw in special requests during my wedding, including him stopping my parent dance half way (on purpose) as if the music turned off, to take the mic and give a short speech. He did it phenomenally. I had a game request, with him being the commentator and director of, and he took that role and ran with it. The wedding guests LOVED him. I have nothing negative to say about his services. Even the photobooth was done great! I also had a custom sign made, with our new last name, and it was perfect! Such a great item to be able keep, and you get a year warranty on it. Anyway, I highly recommend this DJ!! He MADE our wedding perfect. Everyone loved him.”

“We received lots of compliments about our wedding, but our DJ was hands down the most complimented part. Like by a lot. I remember someone said “Lily. Your DJ is 100 out of 10.” and our venue coordinator (who has seen a lot of weddings) was like “Seriously, where did you find this guy?” and said they need to add him to their list of recommended DJs. I also had multiple guests ask if he was single… From the ceremony music and microphones, to the cocktail hour musical ambiance, to the first dance and speeches, Obehi was locked in and working the room to make sure everything went smoothly and ensure everyone was having a great time. He had all kinds of fancy equipment and was there early with bells on to get it all set up. It was all seamless with zero hiccups. He was out on the dance floor hyping people up, dancing, and just giving 110% all night long. Obehi is one heck of a DJ. I saw family members who I haven’t seen crack a smile in a decade busting moves on the dance floor. Obehi gets the people going. There’s no doubt about that. That being said, he’s also a really lovely human and we loved having him there as a part of our wedding. You can tell he loves what he does and loves people. He was genuine, warm, and kind every step of the way. He met with us a few weeks before the wedding and made us feel like it was his life’s purpose to get every detail perfect for us. “The Hook Club made our wedding dreams come true. My husband is Dominican and I am from New England, and therefore we were looking for a bilingual band that could play a very wide range of music - from American wedding classics, to Pop, to Reggaeton, to Merengue, to Bachata — and a group that could MC the evening in Spanish and English, and bring the energy to keep the party going. We went with Hook Club’s 7 piece DJ Band, and they were above and beyond fantastic. They curated a setlist that somehow, despite the wide range of music, flowed together and was cohesive. I can’t express enough how talented they are vocally, instrumentally, professionally, and as performers. The dance floor was absolutely lit; even my brother who was on crutches and had a torn labrum couldn’t stay away. It makes me tear up thinking about how much energy, positivity, and happiness they brought to our night — they will always have a special place in our hearts. They are also true professionals - the planning process was easy, they were prompt in all communication, and on the day of they handled venue-related hiccups with grace. They were the first vendor to arrive to ensure a thorough set up, and the last to leave. They are truly such a special, one of a kind group, and I cannot recommend them enough. Of all the many decisions we made in planning our wedding, choosing THC was by far the best decision of them all. Although our wedding was back in August; our friends and family are still talking about The Hook Club, exlusively referring to them as “ the best wedding band they have ever heard before”. “Oh where to begin?! I met Brandon and Kellie during the April 2024 Richmond Bridal Expo. I was just going around signing up for all the give aways and drawings while collecting information. The day after the show, I received an email from DJ Signature saying I won their 2nd place prize and to schedule a meeting. My Fiancé and I set up a meeting via zoom and let the fun begin! We both instantly felt a connection with Brandon and he 100% understood the vibe we were going for. He took the time to go through all the packages and customized our perfect plan. I didn’t need some of the things the package offered so I opted to add in Signature Details (welcome to the party Kellie!) and have access to a wedding coordinator. Kellie joined our zoom call and it was like 4 friends just catching up and having a good time. Once we were done with the zoom, they emailed over everything we discussed along with a contract. We were signed, sealed, delivered within an hour of ending our call. Brandon is very proactive in asking for lists of music you do and don’t want during your ceremony. He also helped me when I was struggling to add certain genres I knew I didn’t want during the reception, and we created a dinner playlist with those songs so everyone was included. The day of the wedding Brandon and his assistants showed up ready to get to work. When I say everything was PERFECT I mean it! The music flowed beautifully and there was no awkward pauses in transitions. It was a special moment for my husband and I too, after pictures we got the chance to talk with Brandon. You could feel the love and support with everything he said and it was an honor to have him with us. Part of the package we did was a cold spark exit. I wasn’t sold on it when we originally talked about it but as we went on I was like ok it’ll be cool. My advice, DO THE COLD SPARKS!!!!!! I’m so glad they convinced me because it was honestly my favorite part of the night. Brandon had to leave after this part of our evening as he had another wedding to do fireworks at and his assistant took over. And that’s when the party started! I wanted it to feel like an early 2000’s-2010’s club vibe full of dancing and fun. They NAILED the mark on it too! Everyone had an absolute blast and I legit felt it for the next few days. He called us the week of and played every song for our ceremony and special dances/events to make sure they were the right song, artist, version, and where to actually start and end the songs. That attention to detail made us feel so calm and know that he was going to make everything as perfect as possible for our wedding.
