“We truly cannot speak highly enough of Smoke & Pickles! Our guests are still talking about "the best wedding food they've ever had" 3 months later, and we can't argue with them. Beyond creating an incredibly bespoke and personal menu for us (with plenty of GF and veggie options!) Sally was instrumental to the process. She helped us book all of our rentals (tent, flatware, plates, tables, etc) and she was always there for advice and to offer suggestions based on her experience. She met with us at PEAK to pick out our tableware, she gave us great suggestions for anything else we needed to rent, coordinated all the setup both on Friday and our actual wedding day, and was so prompt in her replies via email or phone. We could not have pulled it off without her expertise! We would have ended up spending a lot more money overall if we didn't have her guidance. And of course the food was amazing. I loved the fact that it was all local and in-season! Sustainability was very important when picking our vendors, so I appreciated the attention to detail, the composting, and support of local farmers and growers. Plus we got to take home the leftovers! Win/win/win. Lastly, the whole team truly cares about the process. They don't just throw food in pans on the table, but craft such gorgeous tablescapes that look like they fit in perfectly with the rest of the event. We are Stephen and Rae! We met as teenagers in 2007 and married in 2012. We originally started college together in PA when Stephen encouraged me to pursue me passion in cooking. We moved to MA for me to attend Le Cordon Bleu while Stephen studied law. We settled here permanently after graduation. In 2020 I started RGKkitchen. Working together came naturally and quickly took off. Our most popular areas are Cape Cod, Boston, Newport/Middletown, & Narragansett. We service all of RI, the MA coast, and down to Mystic, CT. We typically travel within 80 miles of 02748 but do go further for some events. We're happy to accommodate if we can!

We actually attended their complimentary tasting before booking, and we knew right away they were the perfect fit. The food was incredible, the team was knowledgeable and welcoming, and we left feeling completely confident in our decision. For our reception, they created the most amazing summer menu — grilled lobster, pulled pork, beef kabobs, chicken kabobs, mashed potatoes, and Caesar salad — and every single item was outstanding. “About 5-6 months before our wedding, our original caterer re-quoted our pricing that I had signed over a year ago and it had increased by almost 15k! I was so distraught and stressed, as you can imagine. Luckily I found Soraya through a Facebook wedding group after I had asked for a second opinion. SHE SAVED MY WEDDING DAY. My husband and I are Cambodian and Chinese and trying to find any upscale asian caterer in the NorthShore was darn near impossible. I had my heart set on an upscale multi-course asian banquet menu. We ended up with 10 courses! Soraya made it happen and all the food was made on site at our venue in Peabody (the Olio). Our guests could not stop raving about how delicious everything was! To think I almost went with drop catering as I thought that was my only option. Thank goodness I found Soraya! As anyone who has ever thrown a big event knows, the food will make or break an event. And Soraya's food MADE our wedding a huge success. Soraya made sure fried foods were crispy, hot foods were HOT, and each table service was flawlessly delivered. Even our foodie families were happy with the food and were so surprised at how authentic everything tasted. We had menu items that were Chinese and Cambodian. “We loved Simple Fare! I don't write reviews unless I truly mean it. The food was absolutely delicious, working with them was so easy, communication was constant, and I sometimes felt like Maeghan was my second Wedding Coordinator. She had so many good ideas and always kept our vision and most importantly (to us), our budget in mind! She helped us organize our floor plan in a way that kept things running smooth and kept people partying - for example, coffee and desserts on the edge of the dance floor to keep people dancing all night! As someone who had no idea where to begin planning, I appreciated every bit of guidance Maeghan provided. Our venue had a list of preferred caterers but we specifically went off-list so we could work with Simple Fare! Because they were not pre-approved, there were some additional hoops to jump through, but Maeghan and Candice and everyone at Simple Fare went above and beyond to make sure everything was covered and that the process was smooth on our end. Truly no extra steps were added for us. Candice was our on-site event manager and went the extra mile to make sure our dinner service ran smoothly. She coordinated tables for the buffet so there was never a line, and stopped by our sweetheart table multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed or wanted! The bartenders and servers did an amazing job and seemed to be having a great time during the reception, which in turn made all the guests have an even better time! Who says you can't have fun while doing your job, you know? Everyone raved about the food, and I can attest it was delicious. Get the short rib!!! And the stuffed mushrooms and oatmeal raisin cookies :) I'd recommend their food and service to anyone planning an event!”

“Jodi knows catering for party events. For out 50th weddine menu. She had walk-around appetizers, a buffet that was to die for. The 65 or so who came commented on how good the food was. She doctored a lime punch that we had at our original wedding into a less sweet, amazing drink. Her professional help were excellent. I am very happy to recommend Jodi as a soup to nuts (nuts was ice cream and soup was avocado gazpacho). Totally recommend her.”
