“Jackie was the absolute best florist to work with! She was responsive, communicative, creative, and meticulous. When I first started searching, I really struggled to find a florist who was within a reasonable budget for our floral requirements. Blooms by JG was able to give us a bridal bouquet, 7 bridesmaids bouquets, 1 pocket boutonnière for my husband, 10 regular boutonnières for the groomsmen/fathers, two substantially large and absolutely gorgeous floral pieces for our arch/arbor, and approximately 90ish single white roses for our centerpieces all within our floral budget! In addition, I wanted to DIY some things and she was willing to work with me on those too. Despite me changing my mind from an array of colorful florals to all white blooms, adding and deleting things, and asking tons of questions, Jackie made sure that our florals were absolutely perfect the day of our wedding. She even moved our arch/arbor into the ballroom to be set up behind our sweetheart table. “Melissa from Amaranth was an absolute angel and really stood out from the other florists in the Villanova area because of how accommodating and reasonably priced she was. We wanted to do something unique and have sustainable centerpieces that were potted plants rather than cut flowers and we bought our own pots to help with the cost. She was the only florist willing to take on this additional complication and even spent time with me helping me select pots that would look good together. She made the centerpieces absolutely beautiful with clusters of multiple pots and plants of different heights and colors. Several of the guests still have the pots and plants in their home! Also, we had a hindu ceremony and needed a very decorative chuppah style structure. Her team did an absolutely beautiful job with a natural wood structure, beautiful greens and flowers, even though they had less time to set it up than planned due to issues with other vendors. Melissa is extremely personable and hardworking and is trying to make the day special for us without charging an arm and a leg. Our wedding would not have been the same without her at all and so glad she was part of our wedding. Thank you Melissa!!!”

Florescent Florals

“We had the absolute best experience working with Florescent and Sam for our wedding! I truly cannot say enough great things about them! I came to Sam with the idea of doing a colorful meadow for our altar but the issue was that the inspo pictures I had for this were from a VERY pricy Lake Como wedding. But Sam came to the rescue and figured out a way to make my floral dreams come true on my much more limited budget! She worked hard to come up with ways that the flowers could be repurposed and used in different ways throughout the venue following our ceremony. She took all of my notes about the colors of flowers I was interested in and completely exceeded my expectations without much more direction from me! She came up with the most beautiful combinations of flowers in the arrangements and bouquets she created and totally blew us all away! When I first walked into our wedding venue I was completely amazed by what Sam and her team did and how their amazing work transformed the space and brought my dreams to life. I cannot thank Sam and her team at Florescent enough and I also cannot recommend them more highly! Thank you, thank you, thank you Sam and Florescent!!!”

FWith over 12 years of experience in floral design in New York City, Florescent’s founder Samantha Smerconish brings her background in visual arts / production to her work - blending structure, movement, and natural beauty. She was drawn to floristry as a way to create with living materials while immersed in an urban landscape. Her journey with flowers began as a mobile bicycle cart, selling arrangements in parks and at pop-ups throughout the city. What started as a small, moving studio grew into a permanent workspace, and now into a retail floral space rooted in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
