Florescent is a NY based floral design studio founded by Samantha Smerconish. Forever inspired by the colors, textures, movement, and femme elements of natural materials - Florescent’s team promises to transform your brand, event, or bedside table into a botanical dreamscape.

Florescent strives to take the stunning ingredients in nature's palette to create something whimsical and gestural that not only feels unique, but feels alive. We aim to use seasonal ingredients just as nature intended, and are a foam-free floral operation.

Can't say enough good things about Sam and Florescent! Sam was super easy to communicate with and designed the most beautiful chuppah and bridal bouquet within our budget. She was always available to hop on a call and responded to emails seemingly instantaneously. We gave her vague ideas of what we wanted and she somehow figured out exactly what we wanted. 10/10 recommend!

We had the absolute best experience working with Florescent and Sam for our wedding! I truly cannot say enough great things about them! I came to Sam with the idea of doing a colorful meadow for our altar but the issue was that the inspo pictures I had for this were from a VERY pricy Lake Como wedding. But Sam came to the rescue and figured out a way to make my floral dreams come true on my much more limited budget! She worked hard to come up with ways that the flowers could be repurposed and used in different ways throughout the venue following our ceremony. She took all of my notes about the colors of flowers I was interested in and completely exceeded my expectations without much more direction from me! She came up with the most beautiful combinations of flowers in the arrangements and bouquets she created and totally blew us all away! When I first walked into our wedding venue I was completely amazed by what Sam and her team did and how their amazing work transformed the space and brought my dreams to life. I cannot thank Sam and her team at Florescent enough and I also cannot recommend them more highly! Thank you, thank you, thank you Sam and Florescent!!!

Working with Samantha was one of the easiest parts of our wedding planning journey and she was an absolute joy to work with. We had a getting to know you meeting to discuss vision and other logistical details at their workspace (and they had doughnuts for us!) and a walkthrough at our venue at a later date. Right from the start we were on the same page (I said the aesthetic was the 1993 Secret Garden film and she was right there with me). Honestly, working with her was more like planning with a friend rather than a vendor. Throughout the entire process, she sent us wonderful ideas and created the most whimsical and beautiful table centerpieces, fun boutonnieres, and a lush archway for our ceremony that made its way to our reception to grace the bar. I can't imagine coming up with floral designs for a wedding at a botanical garden is easy, but Sam totally delivered! Truly a highlight of our wedding and everything we could've wanted. Perfection is an understatement.

Sam is the best to work with - professional, easy-going, and fun! Every floral display I've seen from Florescent is unique and catered specifically to the event and the clients. She has impeccable taste, and makes the entire process so easy for the clients and the venue. I recommend Florescent to every client booking an event with us.
