I cannot recommend Terrain enough as a wedding venue. We had such a fantastic, time. I do not have words to explain how amazing everything was. Every guest came up and told us it was one of the most gorgeous and classy weddings they had every been to. Everyone RAVED about the food. We had a friend say “this is the first wedding I became food drunk before actual drunk.” (Positive!!) The coordinators anticipated our every need and had them taken care of before we could even say anything. They were exceptional!

Our wedding day was absolutely perfect thanks to Hildegard and the SkyView staff! We planned our wedding less than a year out, and Hildegard was very accommodating and very responsive throughout the planning process - she was truly a pleasure to work with. On wedding day, we also had Jenn and Iwan helping out to make sure the day ran smoothly. We did our ceremony off-site so we cannot speak on that, but our cocktail hour and reception were absolutely awesome! We still have guests raving about how good the food was and how beautiful the venue and grounds are. You definitely get the best value for your money in terms of northern NJ wedding venues, and we couldn't recommend SkyView enough!

As a wedding officiant, I've had the pleasure of working with many venues, but The Olde Mille Inn truly stands out as an iconic, singular celebration site. From the moment you step into the inn itself or its historic restaurant, "The Grain House", (recently voted one of the most romantic restaurants in NJ!), you feel the warmth and hospitality they're famous for! There are so many pretty photo backdrops in every season! Having a beautiful, dog-friendly hotel on site so the wedding parties and family can gather and celebrate together is another amazing bonus that helps the day run seamlessly! Their people are just phenomenal, from their planning staff to the day-of coordination. They go above and beyond to ensure every detail is perfect, allowing couples to truly relax and enjoy their wedding celebration. Literally, nothing is left up to chance! For couples seeking a truly personalized ceremony and reception, I can't recommend the Olde Mill highly enough. Their service was absolutely impeccable! We felt waited on hand and foot! My husband and I celebrated our rehearsal dinner and wedding at the Grain House. Both events were better than I could have ever dreamed of! The team is helpful from the moment you book. My guests felt so taken care of and absolutely loved the grounds, the food, the service and the lodging. Kate and John were an absolute pleasure to work with and really went above and beyond to help make our big day memorable. Andrea’s service at the rehearsal dinner was unmatched! We tattooed each other at the alter and had greek dancers preform after dinner; John immediately asked what we needed so he could get it done. Our ceremony got rained out and John made our back up plan seem like it’s what we wanted in the first place. Truly couldn’t recommend a better place to celebrate at!

Bridgewater Manor was an incredible venue for our wedding. Alyssa was amazing - she was very prompt in returning our emails and phone calls, and was incredibly helpful in answering all of our questions throughout the planning process. On the day of our wedding, Alyssa was extremely attentive and made sure I was ready for the ceremony, even helping to put my husband's boutonniere on correctly. I was very nervous right before walking down the aisle, but Alyssa was there to calm my nerves. Adele was also fantastic all night long - he made sure we had food and drinks during cocktail hour and was available to assist us with anything we needed. I never had to hesitate to ask Adele for help. The entire Bridgewater Manor team contributed to making our wedding day so special and stress-free. We are so grateful for their incredible service and attention to detail.

On the day of our wedding, we had the entire venue to ourselves which was amazing. We leveraged the ballroom side for ceremony and cocktail hour and used the lodge side for reception. Both sides of the venue were warm, grand, and inviting - the perfect backdrop for our special celebration. The team supported us with every aspect, ensuring our in-the-round ceremony arrangements were perfect and that all of our guests were comfortable. My husband and I had truly had the wedding of our dreams at The Madison Hotel! From visiting the venue (which was my husband’s first choice) all the way to our special day, we received great customer service and guidance. Joseph Zimmerman was our sales associate, he gave us a great tour of the venue and kept us on track with deadlines. Having our guests be able to stay at the hotel was a great perk since my husband had a lot of family flying in. What sold us was the breathtaking Conservatory where we had our ceremony. Man, what a beautiful space! Our guests raved about cocktail hour and all of the food options that were available. Having our reception in the Grand Ballroom was perfect because we had plenty of room to dance! Jose Bonilla was our Maitre’D for the evening, and he provided constant attentiveness and hospitality from ceremony to reception! Even our getting ready suites had mirrors and chairs in our wedding colors. I truly appreciated the attention to detail! We would recommend the Madison Hotel to anyone looking to have a wedding without the stress of finding so many additional vendors. The Catering options are plentiful, the room blocking process is super easy and the beautiful spaces speak for themselves and don’t need much additional decorations (save on those florals!!) Thank you so much to the team at Madison Hotel for making our special day one to remember!! The Richmonds

Booking our wedding at The Westin Governor Morris was honestly one of the best decisions we made for our big day. We booked 18 months in advance and Christina was incredible to work with—she answered emails right away and we could stop by whenever we wanted to talk through details. Having everyone stay on property meant our guests felt like they were part of something special, and the ballroom itself was stunning with the perfect atmosphere for throwing a party! The food was absolutely incredible, and we loved being able to head straight to the hotel restaurant bar afterward to keep the party going. We did run into a small issue with the hotel rooms, but it was handled. From the very first tour at American Beauty Events/Embassy Suites in Berkeley Heights, we already knew this place was special. Walking into the stunning glass house absolutely wowed us and instantly made us feel like our wedding vision could truly come to life there. What made the experience even more unforgettable was the incredible team behind it all. Lynda, the director, was an absolute blessing throughout the entire planning process. Her communication, coordination, warmth, and genuine care made us feel supported every step of the way. She truly held our hands through it all and made what could have been stressful feel seamless and exciting. The chefs went above and beyond to create an amazing menu while also thoughtfully incorporating and tweaking dishes to honor our culture. Every bite was incredible, and our guests are still talking about the food! The add-ons, especially the lechon and hors d’oeuvres, were phenomenal and such a huge hit during the celebration. Christina was also wonderful in helping coordinate everything on the day of the wedding, making sure things flowed beautifully. The Meadow Wood is an absolutely beautiful, elegant venue (inside and outside) with every detail accounted for. That theme continues from start to finish with all they do. The food was not only delicious but was presented in such a way you couldn’t help but simply just say “Wow". We are happy we took a moment to pause and take it all in - from cocktail hour displays, to main course plating, to desserts that went on forever …. – “Amazing!!”. We appreciate all the work, professionalism and hands on attentive approach from the staff (a special shout out to Juan and Becky!!). None of this could have been accomplished without them working together in the same manner. It was seamless. Thank you, George, John, Tim, Charlie, Frank and all at the Meadow Wood for making our daughter and son-in-law’s wedding “the best day ever “as they begin their new life together as a married couple

Don’t overlook the Short Hills Hilton for your wedding! It was the perfect location for our big day, offering a central gathering spot where our guests didn’t have to worry about traveling throughout the day. We explored several traditional venues, but none felt as right as this one. We had a November wedding and didn’t expect to have an outdoor ceremony, but the hotel’s lovely patio space was a wonderful option, and surprisingly, the noise from the JFK Parkway wasn’t an issue. For our indoor ceremony, the venue features a permanent enclosed tent structure. At first glance, it didn’t seem like much, but with the help of the event coordinator Vivian Cohen’s help and coordination with our florist, the space was transformed into something breathtaking. The reception space was spacious and perfect for our 170 guests—large enough for everyone to feel comfortable but not so big that it felt empty. Guests still rave about the food and service! The chef and maître d' truly deserve all the praise. The hors d’oeuvres were diverse and delicious, from sliders to a pasta bar to sushi. We chose the salmon and short ribs for dinner, which we selected during a private tasting session. The hotel grounds, filled with foliage, were perfect for photos, especially as we were lucky to have beautiful fall colors for our shoot. Victoria at the Hilton was incredibly helpful with coordinating room blocks, hotel room gift bags, and storage. Vivian was a dream to work with—she was welcoming, communicative, and made everything run smoothly. Her checklist was a lifesaver for keeping track of details, and she was hands-on with day-of coordination, ensuring everyone knew where they needed to be and helping with the little touches that made everything perfect. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue or team to help make our wedding day unforgettable!

BREATHTAKING! The Park Savoy just so happened to be the very first wedding venue that my husband and I viewed, and from the moment we stepped inside we just knew this was the one - it immediately felt like home. Sam greeted us at the door and never left our side throughout the entire process, from the first tour to the big day. Working with Johanna was an absolute breeze, she is absolutely amazing at what she does! Danny, our Maître D', was outstanding and really kept everything moving like a well-oiled machine; and our amazing team of bridal attendants were truly top-tier. Everyone that we had the pleasure of meeting and working with at The Park Savoy were true professionals and treated us like we were family. No other venue that we toured even compared to how the staff at The Park Savoy made us feel and how absolutely beautiful the venue is, we’d make the decision to choose The Park Savoy again everyday if we could. Having been able to secure our date, Friday, February 14, 2025 (the 4 year anniversary of my husband and I’s first date ), we loved that we were able to have access to the property, especially the bridal suite, for the entire day (MAJOR PLUS imo). From the time that we got to the venue the morning of to the time that we left, our entire bridal party barely had to lift a finger. The system that the staff have in place to communicate with each other throughout the day is like having your own personal secret service, which I absolutely loved and appreciated; again, the entire staff here are outstandingly organized, professional, and just know how things are supposed to be done. All of the food is absolutely delicious, you literally can’t go wrong with any of the selections - the Cocktail hour and Viennese hour are PHENOMENAL! Our wedding guests still talk about the food. *Pro tip: take advantage of the private cocktail hour with your spouse, having this private time to soak everything in and truly enjoy this time was one of my favorite moments of the day* Even when you go back to the venue the morning after, the staff will have all of the extra food - from Cocktail hour, entrees, Viennese hour ( any leftover cake), to anything left over from your “to-go” stations - wrapped up perfectly for you to take back home and enjoy with your partner (it took almost 2 weeks for us to get through all of the extra food). Our entire experience with The Park Savoy was amazing, “thank you” does not even begin to describe how appreciative we are of everything that the PS staff did to make our wedding day the best day of our lives. I don’t think we’ll ever truly come down from the cloud nine-feeling that The Park Savoy created for us ️

We had our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception at Birchwood. From the first day we met with Farrell to the actual wedding day the planning was so smooth. Farrell is so professional and knowledgeable and clearly loves the job she does. The venue itself was spotless. It is stunningly beautiful to the point where I didn't have to worry much about decorations or spend big money on centerpieces. Small subtle decor along with the beauty of the Birchwood made for a stunning wedding day. The food was beyond amazing. We did not want a sit down formal dinner so Farrell helped us create a cocktail hour type situation with various carving stations and food perfectly placed around the room. There were so many options for everyone, even those with special diets. They were able to accommodate everyone and their needs.

We got married at The Mansion on Aug 10th and there are insufficient characters in this review box to capture our gratitude for what an impeccable place this was to get married. We initially chose the venue for ease of the location (we live a few blocks away). I hoped the food would be good, since we couldn't do a tasting, and just trusted it would all work out. THESE PEOPLE BLEW ME AWAY. The staff is awesome, from the Matre D, to the Bridal Attendant, to all the ways Jim and Nancy helped us tend to ever detail of the event, it was the most perfect day. The food was so delicious. Our guests are still talking to us about it weeks later. The cocktail hour was incredible. The main course was the best piece of meat I've ever had in my life. Everything was so fresh, and so delicious. My only regret of my wedding was that I didn't eat more than just a few bites of everything. I woke up the next morning craving the rest of my filet mignon, lol. We went with the "minimum" of everything included because we were on a budget, but it was all so abundant, generous and tasty. Even the dessert platters that came with the meal were amazingly delicious. The space itself is luxurious and beautiful. We had the whole venue to ourselves and the whole thing was just magical.

I originally envisioned a sleek, modern venue, but Crystal Plaza completely changed my mind from the moment we walked in. Their warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail were immediately apparent. We had heard amazing things from friends, and after experiencing it ourselves, it was an easy yes. The entire team was incredibly accommodating throughout the planning process and on the day of. Iris was with us from our first tour through the wedding day — always available, supportive, and genuinely invested in making our day perfect. The food was unforgettable (our guests are still texting us about it!), and our maitre’d, Mikhail, along with our bridal and groom attendants, G and Liza, were so thoughtful and on top of every detail. There were quite a bit of rules and miscommunications along the way. This made the experience, especially during the end of the engagement season and the actual wedding day a bit dramatic and exhausting. However, this could be avoided if every single detail is ironed out from the very beginning and you are giving consistent reminders of what you're anticipating your day to be like. Overall, the venue is gorgeous and every single area of it is grounds for awesome photo-ops. On a gorgeous day, you will absolutely not regret choosing this location. Not only is it super affordable, but they also give you the freedom to pick your other vendors to create your ideal wedding (as almost everything else is kind of "a la carte"). A bonus is that you get the whole grounds on your wedding day, so that's exciting for you and your guests!

Why Choose New Jersey for Your Wedding Day?

New Jersey gives you four distinct regions with unique wedding settings and styles to match any vision. September tops the charts for wedding inquiries here, so you'll want to plan ahead if you're eyeing a date during peak season. The varied landscapes mean you can find everything from waterfront elegance to historic charm without traveling far.

What Types of Wedding Venues Can You Find in New Jersey?

The venue scene in New Jersey covers just about every style imaginable. Luxury estates like Park Chateau in East Brunswick offer stunning French-inspired architecture with gorgeous European gardens that make for incredible photo backdrops. If water views are your thing, places like Liberty House showcase breathtaking NYC skyline panoramas right alongside the water.
