We had an excellent experience with JAM Catering. The food was fresh and delicious, and the tasting helped us confidently choose our menu. Our guests were highly impressed with the food quality. Madeline Sader, our event coordinator, was fantastic to work with—fun, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable. She guided us through the planning process smoothly, always quick to respond and offer helpful suggestions. Her expertise really showed, and she made the entire experience enjoyable. Bellevue Hall is a standout venue with a distinctive charm. The spacious bridal and groom’s suites, along with access to the mansion, grounds, and permanent reception tent, provide ample space and a picturesque setting. It offers the feel of a destination wedding without the need for travel. We could also do several walk-throughs at Bellevue Hall, and JAM Catering’s optional upgrades for linens, tables, and décor were a great way to customize the space. We added fun extras like a BBQ station, a pretzel jar, and a gelato cart, which were big hits with our guests. The staff on the day of the event was excellent. They kept everything running on time, which allowed us to relax and enjoy the day without worrying about the schedule. The service during the event was attentive and efficient, ensuring everything went smoothly for us and our guests. Overall, JAM Catering delivered on both quality and service, and we’re very happy with how everything turned out. We recommend them to anyone looking to elevate their event with great food and professional service.

Oh my goodness where do I begin?! The experience of having our wedding at Resorts Casino has been nothing short of amazing. Nancy is an absolute treasure and pleasure to work with from start to finish. With the help of Anthony they turned our magical day into an absolute dream that not only we enjoyed but all of our guest. We had a serious loss in our family two months before our wedding and Nancy took a lot of weight off of our shoulders and came up with solutions to help us get through the day. Nancy and he team are there for you every step of the way and make you feel like royalty, treating you like gold. In a historic place like Resorts casino is a great place to have a wedding for not only the old school Atlantic City feel but the food and hospitality is out of this world. The chef created food that had our family and friends talking days after the wedding. We will forever have this wonderful memory of our wedding day and it is all because of Nancy, Anthony, and Resorts Casino for making our dreams come true. There is a true love for them all!

The two spaces are separated by a moveable air wall. We can host a ceremony and cocktail hour in the restaurant and in Haas Biergarten right outside, and then open the wall to reveal a dining room space in the FringeArts theater. After dinner, head back out to the main bar and hit up the dance floor, or head outside to Haas Biergarten. Outside we have a bar that is operational May-October, lawn games, fire pits, and a great view of the Ben Franklin Bridge!

Venue considerations

  • Large venue, not ideal for small guest lists

My now husband and I have been going to Fringe since early in our dating. It's a place we love for its beer garden, good food, cool building, and view of the Ben Franklin Bridge twinkling at night. We knew we wanted to celebrate our wedding here, but we had no idea just how magical the experience would be. Working with Liz at Fringe Bar and Devi at FringeArts Theater made everything so easy. Liz was incredible to work with on all details regarding food and drink menu, schedule of events, and coordinating with other vendors including table rentals, florists, and musicians. Her recommendations were spot on, and our night flowed so effortlessly on our side because of the whole staff's diligent work to make our experience amazing. Our guests enjoyed the indoor and outdoor beer garden during cocktail hour with ample places to cozy up on a beautiful fall night, drinking cocktails outside and inside while kids played corn hole and garden games. When we moved dinner into the theater space, guests were blown away by the delicious food and ambiance. Every appetizer, cocktail, and entree was out of this world delicious, and we had no problem with allergies or dietary restrictions at our 130 person reception. Our guests are still talking about how great the food and service was, months after the fact. Liz made all of our wildest dreams come true. 300 freshly shucked oysters during cocktail hour? You got it. Mai tais with housemade orgeat? It's their specialty. Steak frites for the adults and grilled cheese for the kids? No problem at all. Fireball shots in the middle of dinner with Pitbull's "Fireball" playing in the background? Executed perfectly. The wine poured effortlessly, nobody had to wait at the beautiful bar for a cocktail made to order, and best of all: Liz was spot on in her price estimates so there were no surprises at the end of the night. We went to Fringe the next day to sign the final bill, and Liz was waiting for us with boxed up leftovers from dinner and dessert for our family to enjoy while we flew off on our honeymoon. Liz and every person working with her is really, truly, the best in the business. My husband and I agree that celebrating our wedding at Fringe was the easiest and best decision we made. We couldn't have asked for anything better.

Arch Street Meeting House

5.0

Philadelphia, PA
  • Up to 300 guests
  • Select services
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $2,000

Arch Street Meeting House is a historic wedding venue located in Old City Philadelphia. The land on which Arch Street Meeting House stands was officially deeded to the Quakers in 1701 and used as a burial ground until 1872. The building was constructed in stages from 1803 to 1811 when need arose of a larger meetinghouse in Philadelphia. The site is still an active place of worship in addition to being used as an educational museum space, and was designated a National Historic Landmark in 2011. It is frequently rented for conferences, weddings, dinners, and graduations. The building sits on just shy of 2 acres, and our grounds include both grassy & brick spaces and lots of mature trees. The entire site exudes an overall historic charm.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Caters to out-of-town guests
  • Has a dance floor to dance the night away
  • Both indoor and outdoor options

Venue considerations

  • Does not provide event staff
  • Limited cleanup and setup services
  • Lighting and sound are not included
Arch Street Meeting House proved to be the ideal spot for our wedding. Jenn was an absolute pleasure to work with and made sure she understood exactly what we were looking for and how her team could help bring it to fruition. They allowed us to close the grounds to the public so that our guests could mingle and sip champagne outside in the beautiful weather. All of the guests commented on how tangibly historical the venue was and how they loved the simplicity and timelessness of the ceremony space. (Which looks absolutely stunning in the few preview photos we've gotten back.) Because it was so much more affordable, we also decided to hold our rehearsal dinner there and hired a taco truck to act as the caterers. All in all, I can't recommend ASMH or Jenn and the team more highly!!
