Fresno Fields by Wedgewood Weddings

5.0

Fresno, CA
  • Up to 400 guests
  • All-inclusive
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $5,165

A haven in Central California, this classic and picturesque wedding venue boasts a beautifully manicured garden area, a stunning shaded terrace ceremony space, and an abundance of photo opportunities so you can show off the California weather! Enjoy a serene ceremony among lush greens, a wrought-iron backdrop, and stone fixtures that give this space a laidback vibe. After exchanging your vows, celebrate in the adjacent grand ballroom, and relax with your friends and family at this modern sanctuary.

My husband and I decided to have a short engagement so finding this venue was a heaven send. They pretty much have a vendor for everything minus a photographer. We decided to go with another cake vendor but that was based off preference. Going with an all inclusive venue made planning a wedding in less than 4 months a breeze. The food was amazing and all the staff we worked with was very personable, helpful and professional. They were very responsive whenever we had questions or concerns and our wedding day went beautifully. Highly recommend!

The Grand 1401 offers two beautiful ballrooms. The Grand Ballroom is located on the 1st floor and has a capacity of up to 500 guests and comes with a Mezzanine that oversees the ballroom. The Grand on 10th is located on the 10th floor and has a capacity of up to 300 guests and has access to the veranda that overlooks downtown Fresno. The former SJL&P Building is a highly significant building in Fresno, both as a visual architectural landmark for the City and as an excellent example of the Italian Renaissance Revival style.

The Grand was such a great experience. We got married on the 10th floor and the building makes you feel like you’re in different city! Very clean, very kind staff, the venue coordinator Alma is very accommodating and helpful. The facility is huge and has a full kitchen, bathrooms, terrace access, a gorgeous stage with draping at an additional price, tables & chairs, stunning ornate venue. Our wedding was beautiful and turned out exactly how we imagined. We are so happy that we decided to have an intimate wedding. It allowed us to share the day with the friends and family we are closest to. We booked the intimate wedding package that included the estate and the retreat. Both locations are gorgeous and the retreat makes you feel like you’re secluded away in a Redwood wonderland. All of our guests were amazed at how everything turned out and thought we picked the perfect location for us. We loved being able to make a weekend out of our wedding instead of just one day. We are so happy with our choice! Tiffani was such a huge help. She is very creative and was so helpful when it came to making our ideas come to reality. She asked us about certain items along the way and even make a table mock up for us to look at. She helped guide us and provided support when it became stressful. She would always email, text, or call us when we had any questions. She understood our vision and executed it beyond our imagination. Her caring nature really helped us feel comfortable with decision making and we both appreciated her going the extra mile to find things she thought we would like. She even painted vases that she had to go with our colors and made flower arrangements as well. She already has certain décor items that couples can use which is a huge plus. Tiffani reminded us that having an intimate wedding was different than your typical wedding factory ceremony which was a huge plus for us. This allowed us more freedom to do things that meant something to us instead of what is “typically done”. We also had Tiffani be our officiant and she did a great job. She sent us a questionnaire and got to know us through the planning process which allowed her to write a ceremony that actually fit us and encouraged us to give her feedback. The location is breathtaking and all of our guests were amazed at how we found this gem. The retreat is surround by redwoods and is a peaceful place to be. We stayed an extra day at the Secret Redwood Retreat and never wanted to leave. It was so peaceful up in the redwoods and the house itself is so comfy and stylish. Tiffani has decorated the house with original boho pieces and quality furniture that she has fixed up. Our guests loved the deck in the back where we ate dinner and cut the cake. The custom live edge redwood tables looked so gorgeous with the terracotta décor. I could go on an on about this magical place…it’s really that great!!! If you’re looking for a unique experience, locations surrounded by nature, and someone to guide you along the way, then look no further!

Redwood Ranch in Three Rivers

5.0

Three Rivers, CA
  • Up to 250 guests
  • Limited services
  • Outdoor
  • Starts at $4,000

Redwood Ranch is a rustic wedding venue located at the edge of the South Fork of the Kaweah River in Three Rivers, California. (We're about halfway between Los Angeles and San Francisco.) Our very private and secluded 270-acre ranch at the foothills of Sequoia National Park features numerous outdoor ceremony and reception sites nestled in the woods or overlooking the river (with 1800 feet of private river frontage) and exclusive use of Redwood Ranch to enable you the flexibility to create a truly special event that matches your unique vision. This is a working ranch with cattle, donkeys, peacocks, and chickens. We do have an occasional deer wandering through, as well as foxes, raccoons and many birds and butterflies. We do not offer catering but have a long list of local vendors we’d be happy to provide you with - you are welcome to select all your own vendors.

Awarded Best of Zola
We are not ballroom wedding people, so we were looking into National Park weddings and found some information on Redwood Ranch. It was much easier then going through the permit process for NPS and finding a separate reception site. It is also close enough to visit Sequoia and Kings Canyon while you are there. 2023 was especially rainy, which meant the river was really flowing and the lupins were absolutely gorgeous. This venue does not include any vendors such as catering, but that worked well for us as we could customize things exactly what we wanted. It is a bit of a narrow access road, so I recommend hiring shuttles for you guests especially if you plan to serve alcohol.

Awarded Best of Zola
Sydalyn Hill is a beautiful, peaceful, and rustic wedding venue that overlooks the redwoods. They have chandeliers in the walnut trees above the dance floor which is such an elegant a unique touch to the venue. Gwyn, Jonathan, their daughters, and team helped the entire day run smoothly. Gwyn also helped with the organization and planning leading up to the wedding. We did a lot of virtual planning as we did not live in the area. Gwyn was very organized and helped with all the little details throughout the planning process. We rented the venue for the entire weekend. It was amazing getting to enjoy the venue and get settled in before the wedding day. We had the best weekend!

The beach ceremony was stunning, combined with the preferred floral vendor, delivering a spring-themed, colorful wedding.
