About this venue

Redwood Ranch is a rustic wedding venue located at the edge of the South Fork of the Kaweah River in Three Rivers, California. (We're about halfway between Los Angeles and San Francisco.) Our very private and secluded 270-acre ranch at the foothills of Sequoia National Park features numerous outdoor ceremony and reception sites nestled in the woods or overlooking the river (with 1800 feet of private river frontage) and exclusive use of Redwood Ranch to enable you the flexibility to create a truly special event that matches your unique vision. This is a working ranch with cattle, donkeys, peacocks, and chickens. We do have an occasional deer wandering through, as well as foxes, raccoons and many birds and butterflies. We do not offer catering but have a long list of local vendors we’d be happy to provide you with - you are welcome to select all your own vendors.

Redwood Ranch was a dream come true. Everyone from the owner to the groundskeeper felt like family. The location is nestled near the foot of the Sequoia National Park with majestic views, sweet animals, and an idealic river that runs through the property. We felt like we had so much freedom in curaring the event that fit our needs & desires as a couple when so many other places are prescriptive in their use. We also felt welcomed and enthusiastically accepted as a lesbian couple. Not only did we have an incredible time being present with the ones we love, but to this day family & friends tell us it was the best wedding venue they’ve ever been to. We loved it so much, we rented the property just two months ago to celebrate our anniversary. If you love the outdoors and want to create a memorable gathering, this place is THE spot.

My wife and I have been photographing weddings for 18 years all around the country and the world. We often get asked what our favorite venue is and it is always the same answer. Redwood ranch. No matter what time of year it is, the venue is gorgeous. The weddings are always so stress free and relaxing. I would recommend to anyone!

We are not ballroom wedding people, so we were looking into National Park weddings and found some information on Redwood Ranch. It was much easier then going through the permit process for NPS and finding a separate reception site. It is also close enough to visit Sequoia and Kings Canyon while you are there. 2023 was especially rainy, which meant the river was really flowing and the lupins were absolutely gorgeous. This venue does not include any vendors such as catering, but that worked well for us as we could customize things exactly what we wanted. It is a bit of a narrow access road, so I recommend hiring shuttles for you guests especially if you plan to serve alcohol.

My husband and I got married at Redwood Ranch in May of 2022. It was absolutely perfect! The hosts were great to work with, and even though it's in a remote location, we were able to find amazing vendors (with some suggestions from the hosts and some on our own) to create a weekend that was just perfect. It's such a magical place to share with your loved ones. We had our rehearsal dinner, wedding, and day after brunch all on property and just got to swim and play all weekend long. I wish we could do it again every year. It's truly a beautiful, special place that you and your guests will never forget.
