About this venue

Historic Seven Sycamores Ranch was the original namesake of the McKellar’s citrus farm back in 1927. On this ranch, Hugh and Vernice McKellar built a home and raised their family. Under the new name of McKellar Ranch, their son, and our current owner, Farmer Bob McKellar, still farms the same citrus orchards that his father Hugh planted years and years ago. Spanning generations, the farm has been many things to many people. This place has been home to countless memories that have helped mold and shape lives. Historic Seven Sycamores isn't just a venue; it is a home with history at its heart, where life has lived. Where others can plant a seed and lay the foundation for their future – where together, they can make that promise grow.

The Garden is our outdoor venue that can accommodate up to 250 guests for a wedding ceremony and reception. Depending on the estimated guest count, ceremonies can be set inside of the Barn Pavillon, in front of the barn doors or on the West Lawn. The vine arbor can host cocktail hours, bar and buffet lines. Reception is most often hosted on the open lawn in front of the Barn. The Barn Pavilion is a multipurpose space that transitions to become the dance floor later in the evening.

Our peak seasons are April-May and September-October.

Our off-peak seasons are November-March and June-August.

Clients must choose a package with our exclusive partner, Tap Truck CenCal. Bars may be hosted or non-hosted with beer, wine, and champagne or full bar.

Yes, we have onsite parking that can accommodate up to 250 guests.

Our Garden venue, Glass Barn, onsite restrooms, parking lot, and venue office (Blue Room) are wheelchair accessible.

Our rental fee includes exclusive use of both the Garden and Glass Barn venues, 6 hours of scheduled event time, set-up and breakdown of venue equipment including fruitwood folding chairs, farmhouse tables, and 6ft banquet linen tables, (2) dressing spaces for wedding party, onsite venue manager, event staff and security, (3) planning meetings onsite, and 1-hour rehearsal.

Your reservation includes six hours of schedule event time (start of ceremony to end of reception), access to venue for set-up and photos 5 hours prior to event start time, and 1 hours of clean-up after the event has concluded. Additional set-up or event hours are available upon request for an additional fee. All events may begin no earlier than 3pm and must end by 11pm.

The client is required to provide proof of $1,000,000 general liability insurance for the full event weekends (including rehearsal and event date). The insurance must also include Hosted Liquor Liability and must name McKellar Ranch Company as additionally insured.

We have a closed vendor list for catering, bar, DJ, florists, rentals, and coordinator/planners - meaning you must choose a service from our pre-approved list of vendors. Other vendors such as dessert, photography, and stationary are not required to be selected from our lists, however, they must be a licensed and insured business.

Yes, we require a professional, hired coordinator or planner for all weddings. Day-of coordination services through the venue are available on select event dates as an add-on. Coordinator or planners may not be a guest at the wedding and must be present for the entire scheduled event time and rehearsal.
