The Old Scott Barn truly is a venue like no other! Although the 1800s barn is fully restored, we made every effort to keep the original dairy barn features intact. The upstairs hay loft has a spectacular view of Signal Mountain which you will enjoy as you dance on the new wood floors beneath the old hay trolley above you. When you descend the wrap around stair case and enter the old milking parlor downstairs, you will see a stunning 30 foot live edge wood bar and new 20" wide pine flooring nestled in among the old cow stanchions and milking hardware. It is a unique Vermont experience and the perfect setting for your special party. The downstairs is fully winterized and available for small winter weddings and parties.

Defiance Hall is a 10,000 sf, authentically restored historic building with reaching mountain views built in 1820. We host up to 300 people across two floors. We often use the full venue for weddings up to 125 guests, allowing the event to flow through the property with arrival cocktail receptions on our outdoor terrace & creekside area or inside in a welcoming space. Dining typically takes place in the main hall, while wedding vows, dancing, and afterparties are held upstairs in The Loft. We are fully equipped with essential amenities, including liquor and commercial kitchen licenses; just bring in a third-party caterer! Since 1914, the Boyden Family has been farming these majestic Lamoille River valley fields at the intersection of Route 104 and 15 in Cambridge, Vermont. What began as a predominantly dairy farm through the years has evolved into naturally raised beef cattle, field crops, maple production, wine & spirits, weddings and events. Patriarch Fred Boyden and his wife, Diancy have two sons. Mark and David have been ingeniously innovative the last 20 years growing the farm to focus on moving forward in their businesses which continue to enrich the entire farm. Alongside Mark and David are their wives, Lauri and Linda who are instrumental with their own creative additions to the farm and winery with unique ways of keeping Boyden Farm vibrant. Lauri is the venue coordinator at The Barn for all of the exceptional weddings and events.
