On our wedding day, John and his second shooter, Denida, were absolutely incredible. They kept everything running smoothly, handled a last-minute big family photo with zero stress, and brought such a calm, positive energy to the day. They even worked magic with the kids in our wedding party - jumping, making funny noises, whatever it took to get those perfect smiles. And the photos…wow. John’s style is stunning. “A few things that stood out the most about Isaac were how responsive he was, how he was able to accommodate to our budget, and how he took pictures from angles and views that turned out great on the photos. As a couple with demanding careers, I much appreciated how quickly Isaac was with replying to emails. We had a pretty tight budget, and Isaac was able to offer us a package that landed pretty close to our budget and only had the items that we needed the most (mini engagement photoshoot for the website and wedding day). Our ask for him was to get some candid shots as we feel pretty awkward in front of the camera. I personally think that the wedding day pictures came out more naturally because of the setting being surrounded with friends and families, and Isaac and Sushen did a great job capturing the candid moments beautifully. Isaac even had an idea for me to pose by climbing up a wooden stair ladder for a shot that I honestly wasn't sure how it was going to turn out while doing it, but it ended up turning out beautiful and magazine-like in addition to other ones that he asked us to pose for. Isaac put together a behind the scenes video that also showed the reactions of guests to our photo place cards before we had entered the reception area, and this was lovely in that we got to see our guests' reactions that we weren't able to see.”

“Working with Kandid Art was overall a great experience! They showed up on time and made sure we got all the shots we wanted. Though the wedding ran a bit behind, they were flexible. The photos turned out beautiful, and they got creative with the locations given the cold, rainy weather. They even got some funny shots of the kids at the wedding that are some of my favorites! The video was also good, although I don't love that they had to use like stock music for the background (I guess it's because of copyright issues with other songs?). I wish they would have included audio of the vows rather than the cheers of the attendees, so make sure you ask them to do that if you want it! I do love that they provided us with all the raw video footage though, as some of the most special moments didn't make the highlight video. Due to the event running behind, the cost increased a bit (which I was asked about after the wedding) due to the 2 photographers needing to split up to cover the shots. I wish they had asked me or the Wedding Coordinator about that on the day of so we could understand better what was the issue, but it was a minor thing in terms of communication. Overall 8/10 rating and would recommend.”

We built a Pinterest board together and she turned that inspiration into a clear plan, sending a timed schedule with locations and transitions so nothing felt rushed. From the first message she was organized, responsive, and thoughtful about light and timing. It absolutely poured the day of our shoot, umbrellas and all, and she powered through the elements without missing a beat. She found covered spots in the park and beautiful corners of the city and kept the whole experience lighthearted and fun. We are not big on posing and she made it feel natural with simple cues and small adjustments that never felt forced, even while we were juggling umbrellas. Her ability to capture light is impeccable. She moves with ease from digital to film and from indoor to outdoor settings, and the gallery reflects that range. Colors are true to life, and the black and white images are timeless.
