Steve is a retired Naval officer with a construction management background and Carolyn has followed him all around the world raising 4 children. We have been married for 34 years so we know a little about love and marriage. Our farm speaks to our hearts with its beauty and history and know it will be a romantic setting for your wedding day. With 55 acres of woods and rolling picturesque fields you are sure to find what you are looking for. We have taken great care to preserve the old wood and charm of our barn while updating the space for your event.

Mill Hall was built in 1873 and operated as a grain mill until the early 2000s. Following an extensive renovation, the Hall is now ready for use as an event venue. Fully heated and air conditioned, the building is entirely hardwood, with beautiful light and open design. It is perfect for an eclectic, warm event. The space features two full floors of entertaining space. Downstairs offers 2800 square feet of formal dining area with full bar, featuring four barn doors to the outside porch. The rear of the building is being renovated to provide an dedicated dance and entertainment zone. Upstairs features two lounges, plus two changing areas and cozy prep rooms for the wedding party. Founded in 2014, The Pine Tree Barn is a charming and inviting barn venue located in Genesee County just west of I-75, off of Exit 126. ​ The Pine Tree Barn sits on 20 acres of pristine mid-Michigan land covered in an abundance of Pine, Birch, Oak and Maple trees. We also have a pond and several ceremony sites to accommodate the wedding of your dreams. ​ The barn itself is a 4,000 sq. ft timber frame structure built entirely of White Oak and Pine with Cedar siding. The metal roof and climate control give you and your guests the utmost comfort while enjoying your celebration.

We are a romantic and classic wedding venue located in Shepherd, Michigan, just minutes from Central Michigan University. Our reception space can accommodate up to 375 guests and features a beautiful floor-to-ceiling fireplace, fairy lights, floral chandeliers, a custom bar, farmhouse tables, banquet tables, and black Chiavari chairs with leather cushions. We also offer a prep kitchen, two parking lots, and a beautifully landscaped backyard area with a privacy fence, two patios, and a pergola. One of our favorite features is that we have two private getting-ready spaces: The Ivory Suite and The Sable Room. Each suite includes a lounge, private bathroom, and changing room, giving both sides of the wedding party their own comfortable space to relax and get ready. We are also currently adding an indoor ceremony space, which will allow couples to host both their ceremony and reception at The Wright Place. This space is expected to be complete by the end of summer, August 2026.
