“Gemma was the best wedding DJ we could ever have asked for! We heard about her as a recommendation from our venue (Curtis Arboretum) which she is very familiar with. She invited me to see her DJ a set and she was dancing and singing with everyone. We knew she would be perfect. She is very communicative and played music that got all ages on the dance floor. She plays all genres and you can tell she really loves each event she is a part of. I had multiple guests come up and tell me how much they enjoyed her DJ'ing. With her services, lighting can be included as well as a wonderful pink photobooth. She also has vintage photography (see below for a black and white photo from her) and videography services available. She even saved the day and had a microphone for us to use during our ceremony when we found out we did not have one. At the end of the event, we felt like we were saying goodbye to a friend we had known for a long time!”

“My husband and I used Direct Entertainment for our DJ and videographer for our wedding and we could not be more pleased!! The team was professional, great at communication, very kind and professional, and they helped make our day absolutely perfect! Jeff, our DJ kept the dance floor alive ALL NIGHT!! When the music had to stop at the end of the night, the dance floor was still completely full and no one wanted it to end. He did a great job announcing the events of the night, made sure that our ceremony music was perfect, and he stuck to our wedding playlist with the exception for a couple guest requests (which we were happy to allow). We were so happy and thankful to have Jeff there! Sie, our videographer also did a wonderful job! We have not yet received our video as our wedding was less than 2 weeks ago, but I already know it is going to be amazing. He was so great with communication, was prompt with his timing, and he even set up a second camera for guests to break away and give us well wishes for our marriage, which I'm so excited to watch back. He was very professional and wonderful to work with. We decided to add videography at the last minute because we thought we might regret not having it, and I am SO happy we asked Jim at Direct Entertainment if they had someone available for our day just a month before, and they did!! Jim, the coordinator at Direct Entertainment frequently checked in with us, asked us questions about ourselves, and genuinely made us feel like he cared about us and our special day. He was great to work with leading up to being assigned our designated DJ and videographer, and even after, he checked in to make sure we were happy and that all of the planning was going well. Overall, we would 1000% recommend Direct Entertainment for any wedding entertainment needs! “Aran was the best DJ ever for our wedding! Our guests danced all night. We danced all night. He also did the sound and music for the ceremony and dinner. He made helpful game time decisions about the setup of his DJ table given our potential need for a rain plan layout on the day of. His DJing was so fun and kept the party going while also feeling true to us and incorporating our tases. “Amy was the DJ for our November 2024 wedding. As the music sets the vibe, we wanted someone who really understood what we were looking for and understood the music we like and our tastes. After a horrible experience talking with another vendor, we immediately clicked with Amy and felt that she understood what we were looking for (Gay dance pop!). Communication with her was straightforward and simple, and she took our basic playlists for different parts of the night and blended them to reflect our style and set the appropriate mood. She executed the music cues during our outdoor ceremony perfectly which we believe helped to elevate the whole experience. But the star of our experience with her was an amazingly packed and vibrant dance floor for the whole time. We got so many compliments on the music and everyone from our friends to coworkers and older relatives had a great time. One of our requests was to play a ton of Chappell Roan and Amy delivered, including a (potentially original?) dance mix of Pink Pony Club that was honestly transcendent. She even played a special song for a plushie toss (it’s a story) without our prompting. “DJ Ed was so accommodating in bringing our medieval fantasy cocktail hour to life. It perfectly set the mood I was looking for, and I was so happy that he was able to play our nontraditional music selections; thankfully he was able to use a Spotify playlist I had made just for cocktail hour.
