“Our wedding turned out to be incredibly beautiful, thanks to a unique venue and execution by its staff. However, that perfect day was almost derailed by the unacceptable pressure campaign to change ceremony locations due to concerns over furniture getting wet. We wanted this review to capture our nearly 20 months of planning with the TWA Hotel. PLANNING PROS: -Variety of spaces -Responsiveness -Flexibility for storing supplies CONS: -No FAQ document -Frustrating room block system -Forgotten menu tasting notification -Lack of communication and contradictory info from the Paris Cafe for rehearsal dinner THE WEDDING PROS: -Organized and accommodating staff -The food, especially the pastrami station and red velvet cake for dessert CONS: -Wrong display with typo on Solaris board in the Sunken Lounge -Our tiered wedding cake wasn’t cut and served even tho there clearly wasn’t enough sheet cake to pass around -The weather “policy”: We were told that we could make a final decision on an outdoor ceremony up until the morning of our wedding, and our point of contact reassured us of this during our final walkthru 2 weeks out. Our contract also secured the Sunken Lounge as the backup option if we chose to move indoors. However, in the final days and hours before our wedding, we were pressured to move our ceremony indoors, despite nearly all weather reports showing clear skies for our 5-6pm ceremony and rain only after 9pm. Our point of contact started questioning our outdoor plans 4-5 days before the wedding, and even met with us multiple times - first in the lobby while we were dropping off supplies 2 days before our wedding, again when we were checking in the next day, and yet again when we were at the pool before our rehearsal dinner, where we had to brush off our guests in order to have a serious meeting. Each time, they told us we needed to make a "final call" now, not the morning-of as we had been told before. After listing their reasons to move the ceremony indoors (which included threatening to release the Sunken Lounge from our backup option, despite what our contract said), the point of contact mentioned that the head manager was concerned about the rain damaging the leather chairs, and then proposed a “solution” of having the ceremony outside, but not setting up any chairs so that our guests would stand for the entire ceremony. It was clear to us that the real reason why we were being pressured was that the manager didn’t want their leather chairs to get wet! We asserted that, unless we were explicitly told we couldn't have our ceremony outside, we would stick with the outdoor option. The morning of our wedding, our day-of coordinator informed us that the venue was insisting they now had a “50% chance of rain policy”, giving them the “right” to change ceremony locations. We immediately forwarded reports from 10 weather sites that all had a chance of rain between 5-7pm at 0-30%. We finally saw chairs being set up outside in the mid-afternoon, and when our ceremony got underway, the clouds parted ways and the sun started shining. CONCLUSION: The TWA Hotel is such a special place to celebrate your wedding! Before you sign the contract, however, understand that you’ll have to stay on top of the planning process, and in cases like ours, fight for what you envision. Make sure the contract spells out any and all promises — there were items that we made sure they honored as it was clear the hotel’s policies had changed since the signing.”

“Despite the change of hospitality groups, the team at Ace Hotel Brooklyn was amazing to work with for our wedding. They offer an all-inclusive package that, at the time of our wedding, included the entire second floor for the day of our event, linens for tables, catering, and staffing for the entire day. We were also able to book the Ace Suite and have a hotel block for a discounted rate for our guests. The catering team was amazing and was very accommodating for different dietary restrictions that I, some guests, and vendors each had. We can’t thank Tricia, Susannah, and Paul enough for their helping us bring everything together! Photographer: Kara McCurdy”

The view speaks for itself, so much so that you don't even need to worry about extravagant decor because of it. There are also so many gorgeous spots nearby to take photos, like the parks near the water, as well as hotels to stay at. “The Wythe Hotel was the perfect venue for our fall 2025 wedding. My husband and I hosted about 100 guests and wanted the evening to feel like an intimate dinner party, which turned out to be surprisingly hard to find in NYC. Most restaurants cap at around 80 people, and most traditional venues are designed for 150 or more. The Wythe struck that perfect balance. From the first time we visited, we fell in love with its aura and atmosphere — the brick walls, warm lighting, and “accessible chic” style were exactly what we were looking for. What really sealed the deal was that all catering comes from their onsite restaurant, Le Crocodile, which is exceptional. (Don’t miss the orzo cacio e pepe, the tuna tartare or the Veracruz cocktail!) Our event planner, Cassie, was amazing — organized, responsive, and clear about timelines and decisions. She made the entire planning process smooth and stress-free. The wedding day itself ran smoothly. Every member of the Wythe team was attentive, friendly, and on top of every detail. So many of our guests commented on how seamless the day felt and raved about the food and service. We can’t wait to go back to Bar Blondeau and Le Crocodile to celebrate anniversaries and future milestones. It truly was the most magical day, and we’re grateful to the Wythe team for making it so special and personal!”

New York, NY

Located off Cooper Square in one of New York’s most vibrant, artistic neighborhoods, The Standard, East Village is cozy, charming, and eccentric in equal measure—very much in the spirit of its surroundings. You enter the 21-story tower through an original tenement-style building before ascending to unparalleled views of Manhattan from the hotel's crowned jewel, The Penthouse. There’s a quiet, calm garden tucked away at street level that in the warmer months is filled with lush topiaries and floral arrangements, and in the cold season transforms into a magical winter wonderland. On the second floor, The Overlook is a cozy room perfect for a rehearsal dinner or cocktails, connected to The Perch which overlooks The Garden. Downstairs, there's Narcissa restaurant, which boasts its own private terrace, the street-side Café Standard, and NO BAR, a highly inclusive new wave gay bar with custom artwork and a disco ball.

“Having never been privy to what goes into a wedding reception, I was in the dark about a lot. So, I had difficulty understanding what to choose and how much our choices would cost. If it wasn’t for the close proximity to the church, I may have chosen a different venue for our reception. The food and beverage was the biggest expense and the biggest source of confusion. The real disappointment of the F&B was the limited amount of food. The shrimp appetizer was good. However, there was so little, if you didn’t grab some, it was gone. Of the three entrees to choose from, the only one that was any good was the fish and the portion was less than one would reasonably expect for an entree. The chicken was dry and hard, a huge disappointment. The lemon tart dessert was good. The space itself is very nice. Fortunately, it was just the right size for our reception.”

“Our guests were enchanted by the skyline views and the delicious bites and drinks. Everyone was very impressed by the turnover from ceremony space to reception. It was incredibly quick and smooth. The team was a well oiled machine, They handled every transition and any small hiccup with precision and grace. The personal attention given to the couple throughout the reception was greatly appreciated. The attention to detail day of was a wonderful contrast to their more hands-off approach to the pre-planning. The front desk staff at the hotel provided exceptional service from handling questions about the room block to tracking down and setting up a pack and play for the littlest guest. Every staff member that we encountered was professional, warm, and welcoming.”

“Our wedding day was the best day of our lives. So much of that sentiment is due to the amazing setting we had, but more importantly all the people who made it possible. From day one, Eman stood out as a trusted advisor and throughout the process turned into a friend. The staff on the day of our wedding was unbelievable. Everyone made us feel like royalty, especially our bridal assistant, Jadelyn. The views, the FOOD, the service... ALL incredible. We chose Ravel because we planned our wedding from LA and needed as much help as we could get. Eman was an incredible partner throughout the entire process. I cannot recommend Ravel enough for anyone's wedding or celebration. We just might have to do it again next year..”

“Having a Celebration of Life was definitely more focused on the positives of a sad occasion but it's nonetheless stressful. You still have all of the responsibilities of the hostess and getting your relatives there on time and making decisions prior to the event. I can't thank the staff at the Benjamin enough for guiding me through the process and for handling everything when we got there. I really didn't feel like I had much to handle when we got there. We were able to decorate the way we wanted to and were provided with a tv to run a slide show. One more thing...the food was great!”

“This is the best hotel and wedding venue in NYC! I want to start by saying Richard Godfrey and Beatriz Lesnoy are amazing coordinators. For the last 5 months I’ve been planning my wedding with the help and precision of them both and they made our dreams come true! The sterling room located in the Wallace was the PERFECT WEDDING VENUE for our 50 guests! It was beautiful, spacious, elegant and simply gorgeous. We also loved the Lucerne Penthouse to host our ceremony which had a rooftop attached to it! Absolutely gorgeous. We loved our hotel room in the Wallace it was clean and elegant as well. The service here at the hotel is impeccable and I couldn’t wish for a better experience! THANK YOU RICHARD, THANK YOU BEATRIZ, THANK YOU WALLACE STAFF I WILL FOREVER CHERISH THIS BEAUTIFUL PLACE ️️”

“I genuinely don’t know where to begin when it comes to Jennifer Batinjane and the entire team at The Albion. They exceeded every expectation we had for our wedding, and I can confidently say my expectations were HIGH . I had such a specific vision for our wedding and cared about every little detail, especially how I wanted our guests to feel throughout the weekend. From the beginning, Jennifer completely understood that. Not once did she make me feel like an idea was too much, a request was too specific, or something couldn’t be done. I would come to her with one of my “okay, this might sound crazy, but…” ideas, and somehow her response was always, “Yes, let's do it”. And she always did. Jennifer was our Memory Maker/Event Stylist, but that title doesn’t begin to cover what she became to us. She remembered the tiniest details, anticipated things before I thought to ask, and genuinely cared about our wedding as if it were her own. By the time our wedding day arrived, I trusted her completely - which, as someone who is VERY Type A, detail-oriented and has a hard time giving up control, says everything. The Albion took care of our entire wedding weekend. Our room block continued to grow, we had family and friends coming and going, and I had individually personalized welcome boxes that needed to make it to the correct guests. Nothing was ever treated like an inconvenience. The front desk and hotel staff handled everything with so much care that I never had to worry. Our ceremony was at the Cathedral Basilica in Newark, so I always wondered how we could possibly follow something so grand and breathtaking. But walking into The Albion afterward and seeing our reception come to life was a moment I’ll never forget. Every detail had been thought about. Nothing was overlooked. It felt like the wedding I had pictured in my head for so long - but somehow, even better. But as beautiful as everything was, what stands out most is how the entire Albion team made us and our guests FEEL. Every employee made us feel like our wedding was the most important event they had ever hosted. Our families were taken care of, our guests were taken care of, and Robert and I were taken care of from beginning to end. Everyone was warm, attentive, gracious and genuinely excited for us. And our guests noticed. We heard over and over afterward not only how beautiful the wedding was, but how incredible the staff was and how seamless and special the entire experience felt. As a bride, there is truly no better compliment. I went into wedding planning with some wild ideas and probably a few expectations that could be considered unrealistic. Somehow, Jennifer and The Albion didn’t just meet them - they exceeded them. Jennifer, thank you for listening to every idea, entertaining every crazy request, caring about every tiny detail, and making Robert and me, our families, and our guests feel so special. I know there were probably a hundred things you handled behind the scenes that we never even knew about. There are plenty of beautiful wedding venues, but you cannot manufacture the way people make you feel. That is what makes The Albion so special. They didn’t just give us a beautiful wedding. They gave us an experience we and our guests will never forget. I would choose The Albion and Jennifer a thousand times over. They will forever hold such a special place in our hearts, and “thank you” will never feel like enough.”

“GCH was the most amazing venue. I’ve been to a majority of the venues on Long Island but this one took the cake. The food was OUTSTANDING (everyone raves about it), the people (especially Paul) were so unbelievably helpful and amazing. My bridal attendant Nang was WOW. She held my train everywhere while we were walking and fluffed it to help the photographers, she always had water for me and the groom, she carried my lipsticks and had me reapplying, she bustled my dress so easily so we didn’t have to bother my mom, she got mine and my husbands afterparty outfits ready for us so we didn’t have to go upstairs… the list goes on and on. If you want a venue that makes your life super easy leading up to the wedding and the day of the wedding and one that your guests will rave about for literally months this is the place.”

“We could not be happier with our decision to have our wedding (and rehearsal dinner) at Grain House at The Olde Mill Inn! Our experience started with a venue tour with Lindsay who was so lovely and helpful in answering all of our questions. She continued to help us with questions about planning throughout the year and a half since we booked the venue. At the wedding tasting night, we felt so special and pampered, and met all of the great Maitre D’s! We were so grateful to be assigned David as our Maitre D’. We had a meeting with him to finalize our menu and felt so taken care of by him! He was absolutely amazing in helping us through the last few months of wedding preparation, and was there for us on the day of our rehearsal & our entire wedding day, making sure everything went perfectly. The entire serving staff was also so friendly and professional. Besides the INCREDIBLE people who made our day so seamless and special, the venue itself is gorgeous and unique. I can not recommend this wedding venue enough. We loved our Grain House wedding and will cherish our special day and the staff who made it that way forever. Thank you David, Lindsay, and everyone at Grain House!”

“My husband and I had truly had the wedding of our dreams at The Madison Hotel! From visiting the venue (which was my husband’s first choice) all the way to our special day, we received great customer service and guidance. Joseph Zimmerman was our sales associate, he gave us a great tour of the venue and kept us on track with deadlines. Having our guests be able to stay at the hotel was a great perk since my husband had a lot of family flying in. What sold us was the breathtaking Conservatory where we had our ceremony. Man, what a beautiful space! Our guests raved about cocktail hour and all of the food options that were available. Having our reception in the Grand Ballroom was perfect because we had plenty of room to dance! Jose Bonilla was our Maitre’D for the evening, and he provided constant attentiveness and hospitality from ceremony to reception! Even our getting ready suites had mirrors and chairs in our wedding colors. I truly appreciated the attention to detail! We would recommend the Madison Hotel to anyone looking to have a wedding without the stress of finding so many additional vendors. The Catering options are plentiful, the room blocking process is super easy and the beautiful spaces speak for themselves and don’t need much additional decorations (save on those florals!!) Thank you so much to the team at Madison Hotel for making our special day one to remember!! The Richmonds”

“Overall, we are happy with our wedding day. The Mansion is in the process of being renovated/restored and so far it is looking beautiful! The hotel rooms were recently updated and guests were happy with them. The food was also FANTASTIC! (All of our guests were raving about all of the food). They clearly are a well oiled machine when it comes to throwing weddings. We also had our welcome dinner there the night before, which went amazingly and there was so much food everyone was happy! However, there were a few hiccups that bothered us considering how much money is put into having a wedding & how this venue does weddings all.the.time. so expectations are high. In the planning process, the event coordinator position was replaced 3 times in the year we were planning our wedding with them, the last replacement being the week before our wedding. The final replacement did not have any of our vendor info or cake selections and called me 4 days before my wedding about it (...scary). It must've been a miscommunication from the coordinator prior to her, as that girl never responded to any of our emails; I'm sure she did not keep any notes. The current coordinator also could not answer simple questions our friends/family asked her and was very pushy. On our wedding day, I was paired with a Maitre D who was very sweet, but I'm not sure about her "years" of experience that she claimed to have. While taking photos with our photographer she wasn't paying attention and wasn't fixing my dress/veil every time wind blew it out of place so the photographer had to leave his place each time to fix it himself (it was a windy day so this happened a lot). The photographer also asked her to assist in a "veil toss" shot and she ripped the veil from my head, yanking my head back, when she was just supposed to toss it up in the air. It hurt and pulled on my hair style that was supposed to last all night. I mentioned before the food was excellent, and the Chef is incredible. However, when we booked our venue last year, we were adamant about wanting a real wedding cake--not a fake one you cut one slice into for pictures. We were told by one of the event planners there that all tiers were going to be real cake, but during our cake cutting, we cut into styrofoam...it was disappointing. The cake they served was delicious, but we thought we were paying for a real cake because we were told it would be 100% real. We probably would not have booked this venue had we known we'd get a fake cake; it was something my dad made sure to ask at every venue we checked out, it was important to him. Additionally, some rude comments were overheard by our guests made by various staff members about our wedding. As a business owner whose business is to also provide a service, that is absolutely unacceptable, especially while on the job where people can hear you. Jazmin, the Chef, and the front desk ladies were very pleasant and professional to work with, but no one else there seemed to know what they were doing. It ended up working out but again, with how many weddings this place throws, you'd expect a better level of professionalism.”

About wedding venues in Allenhurst, NJ

Why Choose New Jersey for Your Wedding Day?

New Jersey gives you four distinct regions with unique wedding settings and styles to match any vision. September tops the charts for wedding inquiries here, so you'll want to plan ahead if you're eyeing a date during peak season. The varied landscapes mean you can find everything from waterfront elegance to historic charm without traveling far.

What Types of Wedding Venues Can You Find in New Jersey?

The venue scene in New Jersey covers just about every style imaginable. Luxury estates like Park Chateau in East Brunswick offer stunning French-inspired architecture with gorgeous European gardens that make for incredible photo backdrops. If water views are your thing, places like Liberty House showcase breathtaking NYC skyline panoramas right alongside the water. History buffs fall in love with venues like Pleasantdale Chateau in West Orange with its historic grounds and Mediterranean gardens. Modern couples gravitate toward industrial spaces such as The Art Factory in Paterson where contemporary design meets character and uniqueness.

How Much Should You Budget for a New Jersey Wedding?

Wedding venues in New Jersey typically run between $8,600 and $10,600, which falls right in line with the national range of $6,500-$12,000. Your overall costs will scale with your guest count. A 50-person celebration averages around $25,059 while stepping up to 100 guests pushes that to $41,588. Mid-sized weddings with 150 guests come in around $57,123 and larger gatherings of 200 reach about $71,002. Going bigger? Expect to invest around $84,881 for 250 guests or $98,761 for 300 guests. These figures help you set realistic expectations as you start planning.

Which Budget Categories Matter Most for New Jersey Celebrations?

Knowing where your money typically goes helps you allocate your budget effectively. Venues take the biggest slice at about 17% of your total budget or $9,599 for a 150-guest wedding. Hudson House brings Italian influence through Executive Chef Matteo Limoli's creative menu designs. The Rockleigh adjusts their menus seasonally and can customize dishes to match your personal tastes. Food quality varies dramatically between venues so tastings are essential.

What Options Exist for Accessible Wedding Venues in New Jersey?

The Rockleigh can accommodate massive celebrations with up to 850 guests while offering both grand ballrooms and beautiful outdoor garden settings. Bridgewater Manor features elegant chandeliers a grand staircase and beautifully maintained grounds that photograph wonderfully. Always reach out directly to venues about specific accessibility features you need. Most have wheelchair ramps and accessible restrooms but details matter when creating an inclusive celebration for all your guests.

How Can New Jersey Venues Accommodate Remote Guests?

Crystal Springs Resort in Sussex County offers virtual tours that can be adapted for remote guest experiences. Liberty House and Hudson House provide scenic settings that work perfectly with advanced audiovisual systems to bring your ceremony to distant loved ones. Bonnet Island Estate offers unique backdrops that videographers can capture creatively for those who can't attend in person. More venues now offer hybrid options after the pandemic changed how we think about celebrations.
