Welcome. The Alice Collective is a community-minded event space in the heart of downtown Oakland. We are able to host a wide variety of events from rehearsal dinners to seated dinners to happy hours to full day workshops. The 4,000 sq ft of flexible space is filled with local art, a fully stocked bar and two landscaped patios. We have an experienced staff standing by to help create a memorable experience at The Alice!

Over the decade, the Just Dance Ballroom family grew bigger, and thus, the dream to relocate to a grand space came to fruition on September 16, 2006. Since then, Just Dance Ballroom has shared its halls with dancers, entertainers, family, and friends from all around the world. The Oakland Scottish Rite Center was completed in 1927, with over a thousand craftsmen working on the project. The construction cost was approximately $1.5 million. This was a sizeable sum at the time equivalent to about $22 million today. From ground breaking to completion the edifice was erected in just two years. This is the second temple in Oakland built from the ground up by the Scottish Rite Masonic fraternity since 1883, when it was first chartered in Oakland.
